Very nice bar directly at the beautiful beach of Nungwi. Having (afrobeat) parties twice a week which are worth going for a few drinks and some dancing in the sand.Shishas available, cocktails are OK.
Was looking so forward to prawns on the beach. Ordered king prawns which were the size of my pinky finger which we only received four of and they were not deveigned/cleaned. Absolute disappointment! Good vibe on the beach but not up to standard as rated. 12 Dollars seems ridiculous....

I went in specifically after the waitress explained to me the dish: coconut coated fried tuna. They brought me the regular flour coated fish by mistake and I realized too late, thru my half eaten dish since the piece of fish was tiny (check my photo): no coco to be found. The price was not inexpensive for the town (usd8) so I told the waitress and she just said sorry and charged me in full. The restaurant is on the beach in between two other restaurants, so it was easy to compare price, quality and size of the dish: they loose on all three categories.
Seafood restaurant right in front of the beach with an attentive waitress. They have delicious, affordable and big portion of meals. They even gave a welcome shot, made of vodka and watermelon juice.
Tiny portions, expensive for what it is. Wouldnβt go there again. We were also supposed to get a 10% discount on dinner which wasnβt honored.

Nice place, cool vibe, beautiful view, staff ok. Good and fast service. Food is average, we took a falafel (13k) and an eggplant (14k) - small portions. The taste was not there. Beer (6k). Overall a good experience.
Amazing place. You enjoy the cafe offering on sea side and go for beach at the same time. Wait for sunset. It was amazing. You may get bothered by many hawkers since they have maintained a rather porous boundary to beach. In the evening they move most table outside for customers to enjoy sunset. Fabulous place. And not very expensive! 5 stars.
Incredible location right on the beach, great atmosphere and time to enjoy delicious food. I highly recommend the Ceviche with some extra spicy peppers. I also went to the party on Thursday night - by far the best party in Nungwi!
Nice Location. Food is okay but nothing Special
Apart from the location, decor and music not a good idea to come here to eat. Everything we took was tasteless, but the bread. The salad was unseasoned, and the maze plate we took was terrible, the highlight being a burned, tasteless aubergine. The waitress was very unfriendly, and when we asked for some olive oil to add to the salad she refused to give us any, saying that its ok as is... π€ She sat on top of our heads while we were eating, grabbing the plates as they were emptying. Not recommended.
Very small portion. No tasty. They have no chilli. The took the wrong order. Very bad restaurant. Just go to blue ocean next to it, way much better.

Lovely food with Israeli taste. Babaganoush humus and other stuff. We enjoyed the Mediterranean plate with ceviche and tuna carpaccio. We had it for two times on different days. It is fresh. Nothing to worry about your stomach.)

It a fun place when they have their weekly party night. Otherwise a little dead even the location is great on the beach. Lebanese food is good and unusual in these towns on the coast. Prices are ok.
The restaurant was fine, the serve mostly seafood, so meat person will have very limited choice. Prices a little bit high. There is a place to dance in the evenings. But the service and staff one of the worst we experienced in Nungwi.
Portions are tiny. We ordered the middle eastern meze (12k) and we got a spoon full of hummus and tehini with a small eggplant on the side (and mozzarella cheese, since they ran out of labaneh). We expected more from an Israeli place serving Israeli food.

I spent lot of time here during my holidays in Zanzibar. Place is really nice and located in a wonderful piece of beach. During the night you can find party once per week. Fruit Cocktails were my favorite.
Cool spot on the beach. The main nightlife place in Nungwi. Good vibe of local music, shooters amd cocktail happy hour, two for price of one. Worth passing by here if up north of Zanzibar, even to only sit and look at the ocean. Dj nites are Thurs to Sat.
The service, staff, food and activities at Cholos bar are all 5* we experienced a fantastic biggie tour of Nungwi and then had some beers and food while the sun set over the Indian Ocean with a bon fire.
Good vibes! A nice spot to enjoy your beer while watching life on the beach. Stay away from the food though, no taste and overpriced. Theyre better with the drinks!

Cholos bar and restaurant serves food from all over the globe, and they are mostly good at middle eastern food (thats what we had there - greek salad and sabih). The place is located on the beach of Nungwi village and has a very good atmosphere, pleasant service ( unlike most places in the area) and great fair prices.

Please beware of the beach boy, we thought the guy is working and looking after of the sunbed lounger and asking us to pay $20. We realize that we got scam after given the money. An hour later another beach boy asking the same thing. Be careful guys!!!
There are very tasty dishes, you have a great choice. The service is pleasant and advises you. Clean environment. Popular among tourists.
Bad Bad Music. The bar is nice, on the beach , good only on Thursday , but unfortunately the music sucks. DJ doesnt know how to mix anything.
Had drinks here 3 times and each time was a cool, chilled and casual experience. Choose to sit on high chairs, regular seats or chill out on the many hammocks
Highly recomend fish curry or fish kabatu with rice AND salad. 18 000 TZS.Baraka restaurant is slightly cheaper but also a bit worse, mama mia is slightly more expensive but not noticeably better in sea food.
A normally busy and vibrant place to visit at night, with locals and toursits alike. We had pizza for dinner here which wasnt too bad.

It was an unusual quiet evening there which is maybe why the generator was so annoyingly loud. The wait staff were quite inattentive too.

Its a good place, but they dont allow cars to park inside the compound even if you were to pay!!! Which is irritating.
