Homeland Adventures is a wonderful guide company specializing in fun trips around Moshi Tanzania. Our group contacted them regarding a summit attempt on Kilimanjaro. We are SO GLAD we went through Homeland Adventures as our guides were some of the most senior on the mountain. They were professional, experienced, friendly, honest and in general really fun to be around!Highly recommend using Homeland Adventures for any trips in the Moshi area.

Homeland adventures was absolutely amazing for our Kilimanjaro trek! We had researched a few companies and went with this one, Im so happy we did! Plato and Ekeney were fantastic knowledgeable, compassionate guides that I would consider friends after spending a week on the mountain with them. They both ensured that me partner and I were well looked after and anticipated our every need. They made sure that we had all the gear necessary to go up the mountain (even when we fought them on the number of layers needed and thought we knew better). They are extremely knowledgeable of the mountain, climate, and animals that call it home. I cant say enough wonderful things about them and would book another excursion in a heartbeat

We had an excellent experience on our way to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. My wife and I chose a 6 day tour with Homeland Adventures and we could not have been happier with the results. Our guides Selestine and Foraha did a great job at understanding when we wanted/needed to go faster or slower. The porters were very reliable and our cook went above and beyond to make sure we had the food we needed. My personal recommendation is to use Homeland Adventures and stay at the Mountain Bike House. It was nice to know that the place we would be staying at before and after the tour was directly connected to the tour company. It made communication much easier. If I were to do it all again, I would 100% take altitude pills. I didnt do that this time and I really struggled getting to the top on the last day. My wife took the pills and she did awesome.

We had such a wonderful trip with homeland adventures!! We did a 3 day Mountainbike Safari in the western Kilimanjaro Nationalpark and it was so nice: no other tourists, the best food (cooked by the best chef ever: Walter), great driver and a great guide: we even saw giraffes and an elephant!I can really recommend it for everyone, who wants to have a different safari than the “normal” ones. It’s a great adventure!

My friend and I booked a Kilimanjaro climb via Machame Route (7 days) with Homeland Adventures and Muksin organized everything beautifully. We picked Homeland Adventures based on a personal recommendation from someone who had climbed Kili with Homeland a couple years ago. We were so happy with our choice and honestly couldnt ever dream of duplicating our experience- it was amazing beyond the power of words! We ended up on a private tour, even though we originally booked to join a group. The other people in the group changed plans last minute and Muksin honored our reservation and the original price (joining a group is less expensive than a private tour). He even accommodated a refund for a third member of our party, who had already paid her deposit, when she decided not to join us after all. So, in the end, it was my friend and me and the incredible team of guides, porters and chef. Baraka Sirikwa and Selestine Mollel were our guides. Jobu was our guide-in-training and Adam was our chef (yes, on our budget tour, we had a chef on the mountain! We were so impressed with the meals he whipped up at camp!). Baraka, Selestine and Jobu took such great care of us and we felt completely safe ascending and descending with their help. They are such wonderful people and we have become good friends. We sang, shared stories, had language lessons and overall, had an incredibly fun time. We mostly forgot about the aches and pains of sore legs, shortness of breath and COLD since we had the best possible company keeping our minds off these complaints. We summited on August 10 at 6:45am and enjoyed a phenomenal sunrise at Uhuru Peak. We were lucky that we experienced very few symptoms of altitude sickness (really only shortness of breath at high elevation). Baraka checked our heart rate and blood oxygen saturation twice a day and was constantly reminding us to drink maji, maji (water) and eat more chakula (food). This definitely helped keep our energy up and we appreciated that he was doing all he could to ensure a successful summit attempt. The camping equipment was all provided by Homeland Adventures, and we felt like princesses with the porters carrying everything (with the exception of our daypacks) for us. Both before and after our climb, we stayed at Muksins Mountain Bikes house and were lucky enough to stay in the recently completed Eco lodges onsite. They were very comfortable with extra-long mattresses (thanks for thinking of us tall people, Muksin!) and a beautiful design. Room and board at Mountain Bikes House was included in the price of our Kilimanjaro climb. The value was excellent. We paid $1,795 USD per person for the climb, which included airport transfers and room and board the night before and the night after the climb. Compared to other companies we considered, this was not only the most reasonable price, but also we were confident that we would be in good hands for this adventure of a lifetime. We could not be happier with our choice! I would highly recommend Homeland Adventures and guides Baraka Sirikwa and Selestine Mollel to anyone looking for a local tour company that will take good care of you on the mountain!

Muksin and his team are incredibly enthusiastic and their goal is to make your travel as nice as possible. I went with them on a biking safari in West Kilimanjaro in June 2017. In this off the beaten track area you will find yourself biking nearby giraffes, zebras and elephants, without disturbance from other tourists. As the distances are very reasonable (20-30 km/day) and there is a jeep nearby, you dont have to be top fit to have a great experience. In addition, for those who are really into biking, Muksin offers great and challenging routes on the slopes of Kili or in the Pare/Usambaru mountains (you can even bring your click pedal shoes!). So, if you want an adventurous and unique experience, stop searching and team up with Homeland Adventures :)!

Muskin, Rahim, and his team were nothing short of amazing! I loved my stay there. I slept in the bungalows in the back. Theyre still a little bit under construction in the backyard but so far its awesome! The food was always great and the whole staff was incredible. I got food poisoning at a restaurant and Rahim drove me to the hospital and stayed with me the entire time. They did a great job arranging my Mt. Kilimanjaro hike and even let me delay my departure date when I was sick. Cant say enough nice things about this place and its crew!

We stayed in the house and went biking out of Moshi with Muksinsbikes. We got professional explanation on how to manage on the way, quality bikes and good advice on how to drive. Would definitely plan again because of reliability in service. Nice trip.

The best tour guide.I had malaria so wasn’t feeling to keen for safari, but I went anyways. From start to finish Muksin and the guys made sure we had everything and saw as much as we possibly could. We done the camping safari, we walked with the animals like giraffes. We had a camp fire and dinner was amazing that was all freshly cooked. We woke extra early for a game drive, we visited pride rock and walked up it too. We got up close with the elephants. There was around 15+ and no one was disappointed in the trip. Except for one who nearly had heart failure from flying cockroaches hahah. All in all Muksin will accommodate and you will never be disappointed. Thanks for the great memories Muksin 😊

I needed to rent a bike in Moshi and Muksin was really helpful in setting me up. Price was very reasonable and he offered to bring bike to wherever I was staying. He helped me chose a route that was perfect for my ability and offered to come get me if I got stuck. Followed up really professionally to check if the bike was good and was always very polite. Thank you.
