I came here thinking that it would be good, but the Indian staff is worse ! They don’t know how to handle the customer . Wanted to write more about it on all the social media but sometimes it’s good to let go and give them another chance . Otherwise the food was nice and tasty !

Very friendly staff, very professional and good service. The room is clean, with mosquito net and hot shower. WiFi is fast and covers the whole area. The food in the restaurant is delicious! We absolutely recommend it!

Nice rooms, clean. Good food and cold beer. I asked before going if could be possible to pay by card and it was but they didnt inform us that paying by credit card charge you a fee ( I thought was 2.5%). Not very nice

Visited the restaurant to try out some Indian food. I was not disappointed. The menu is extensive. I ordered channa masala with naan and some schezwan fries. Both dishes were flavorful and come in large portions. If you are looking for good food, Mbeya hotel is the place to go.

Good Indian FoodGood Location and Staff

Coming to Mbeya, you will most likely have travelled a long distance. Mbeya Hotel is the perfect place to recover and unwind. Good sized rooms, quiet garden where you can enjoy afternoon tea or coffee, or a more potent sundowner (the bar is well stocked). . . If you feel energetic, there is Mbeya hill not far off, easy to hike up it for good views across town. Three very nice coffee shops are close to the hotel. And, after a days activity (or relaxation) there is truly delicious Indian food to enjoy at the restaurant on the premises. Very friendly and accommodating management and staff. Thank you for a memorable stay!

The management of the hotel is so poor that it cannot solve any problems. Super laissez-faire approach.The rooms were very dirty when walked in, filled with insects such as ants, spiders, flies, centipede. Also couple of spots of urine on the floor not cleaned properly.There are constant power cuts and water shortages in this hotel. You can find the water is not coming the entire day of your stay. Very inconvenient.The staffs are very hardworking, however the owner doesnt seem to care enough to solve any problems.Will never step foot in this hotel! The price is too high and service is zero!

We stopped by the Mbeya Hotel for supper one night. The ambiance was fine and the people were friendly. However the food was unbelievably slow (more than 2 hours), and some of our party had finished their dinner and gone home before the last of us ate. Overall, it was fine, but not great.

Just a review of the restaurant which is pretty good. Not 100% sure what to expect, we were met with smiling well presented waiters and a well decorated dinning area and bar.The food is Asian focused and the Indian dishes are tasty and reasonably priced. Recommend a main with rice and side if your hungry.They did muddle up beef/veggie samosas but dealt with it efficiently and with sincere apologies.

It is acool and beautiful place

Mbeya hotel is one of the better dining experiences in town. The menu has many offerings, with the best options being Indian or Chinese food. They have good indoor and outdoor seating, a bar area, and a few TVs, usually showing football. Be prepared to wait about an hour for food.I cant speak for the hotel rooms, but the restaurant is a pleasant experience.

Very nice place n very cool

I wasnt a huge fan of this place. The Indian restaurant was quite good, but the room itself was pretty terrible. It stunk of cigarette smoke so badly that it was hard to breathe the entire night. The bathroom itself was also pretty gross looking (moldy curtains, rusty floor around shower).I dont know if this is the best hotel in Mbeya since areas in Africa vary so much so this could very well be the best, but I wouldnt recommend it.The service was always good and the owners were very nice, but its hard to overcome how uncomfortable the room was.

Its a reminiscent of a bustling past, unfortunately the rooms and lounges a need to keep up with the present. Very beautiful gardens and decent sized rooms but alot of upgrading needs to happen. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Food is passable.

Mbeya Hotel is one of the first hotels in town. Old style and many memories. Good budget hotel. clean and staff is friendly. Must be the best Indian good in Tanzania. Make sure you stop at least for lunch. Have been here a few times and everytime it is good. Well recommended.

Hotel Mbeya is a best choice for hotel accommodation and nice Indian n Chinese food. The manager, staff, cook and top management is very courteous.Hotel is clean, hygienic and having a very big area.I highly recommend this hotel for lodging and boarding in Mbeya.

This is a historical hotel that existed even before our countrys independence (Tanzania), 1961.Located in the so called Uzunguni Area on gentle slopes of one of Mbeya City mountains opposite The National Bank of Commerce.It a safe and quiet place where one can eat, drink, work and sleep quitely with satisfaction.

Stayed 6 nights in February 2019. Very pleasent stay, accommodating and friendly staff, clean rooms, cosy garden and super tasty Indian food. Would love to come back.

The place is simple but honest and nice. Value OK for the money, paid 80kTSH incl. breakfast. Food OK, not expensive. All in all 4 stars. The 5th star is for the very friendly people, all, every employee there and the bosses (Indian). Left some extra there, almost every day during my 2 weeks stay. Thanks to everybody there!Dont need luxus always, just sometimes.
