Solo the kiteboard instructor is an excellent teacher and a cool guy to hang out with. He got me up on a kite board after about 5-6 hours of instruction over 3 days. His prices are much lower than any of the other places in Zanzibar - he charges only $100 USD for 3 hours of personal 1-on-1 training. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to kiteboard in Zanzibar. The beach that he is on is not crowded and the wind is fairly consistent. Sometimes the wind is better at a beach a short drive away, and if that is the case he will take you there for the best conditions.

Solo is a great teacher. I did my first 10 meters after 4 hours. Was a fun experience!!!

Solo speaks English and he is a great teacher. The beach in front of his shop is great, and if the conditions arent perfect, then he arranges transport by car to another spot nearby.
