I was a bit skeptical having to divert and drive a few extra minutes from my main route when heading to Arusha but after reading and trusting the reviews we decided to try it out. my experience here was exceptional that i stopped again on my way back to Dar es salaam. The staff here are the most friendly and the hospitality was just top range. We were welcomed like VIPs everyone was smiling and very respectful, that alone was enough for me to spend my time there. We were a full team with my wife, relatives,toddler and infant and trust me we were all well accommodated, they prepared meals for my kids exactly how we requested them to, breakfast was again more than we could ask for, on my first morning I had actually ate almost all that was set up on the table and was waiting for my Spanish omelet only to again receive a full plate with veggies, sausage beans pan cakes etc 🤤 wish i knew I would have gone slow on the bread and cereal lol. Overall our stay was such a good experience and ooh the scenery was just something else my kids were up early playing with the tortoises and trying to figure what all the flowers and trees around were. Hope they weren’t too loud for the other guests 😬 the gardens were well kept and very clean, anyways i fully recommend this wonderful lodge its surely a hidden gem in Marangu.

A nice place anyone can stay. Beautiful environment surrounding with gardens. Quiet place and u can only hear a beautiful birds singing. If u looking for place to stay babylonia Lodge is perfect for you.

Great destination on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is very beautiful, the service was superb and the food was amazing! Highly recommended!

We stayed three nights before and after our Kili climb. The staff (especially Freeman) are very friendly and helpful. Only the too-soft mattress was the problem for a good-nights sleep.

Airport Taxi arranged by the hotel for $90 on time but expensive.Stayed there for 2 nights from 13 April 2015Staff speaks little English,but are very friendly(thank you Frank,Veronica,Carnerine)Breakfast very good,restaurant and bar are good but the beef dish was not goodTwin Room spacious and ok with some flying insects, beds was good but soft, hot water available .No internet connection allover the hotel even with my local sim cardHotel is close to kili but no view of the mountain ,some beautiful green plants,security was very good,there was a dog parking just under the window all night.House keeping was goodBoby was very friendly and helpful and speaks very good EnglishBobby arranged a one day Kilimanjaro hike 140$/each guided by Ian(very friendly and informative)

Very bad food. Chicken soup - water with chicken bones. To eat this i had to use fork and knife. I Dont recommend.

Nice lodge situated at Marangu on the slopes of Mt Kili,has independent guests huts in the compound.A cosy place BUT they have to work on the water heaters,had to wash with veeery cold water the other day i slept there. Replace the instant heaters with the solar heaters or bigger tank heaters

Hikers will love the place, but those looking for 5-star comfort might not enjoy the outdoor nature of this resort.

You havent experienced Kilimanjaro region if you havent stayed at Babylon Lodge. It should be your number one hotel when visiting Mount Kilimanjaro
