My husband and I lived at Mufindi pulp and paper mill from 1980-83 with our baby daughter. My husband worked for the main contractor on the site and we lived in the housing compound about 2 miles from the construction site, overlooking the rift valley. We have happy memories of our life there.
Memories. I was a young man 23 in 1981- 1983 working as a field engineer with Wade Adams Construction. Our survey teams layed out all the roads, high level reservoir, sewage lagoons and house pads. I am a Canadian and met my wife (of 36 1/2 years) in Tanzania. Our daughter now 35 lived in Mgololo for her first year. I remember designing concrete forms and concrete mixes. The pulp mill was being constructed.
