We spent 3 very relaxing days at this place. Our big room had a stunning ocean view. It was such a joy to walk along the beach or to spend time in the pool. There are many beautiful spots on the villas territory. Breakfast was good, also dont hesitate to try the food from their restaurants menu, its really worth it, because the food made by chef tastes flavourful and the portions are big.All staff are so kind and nice people, and together with the charming beauty of this place it provides a truly warm and welcoming atmosphere there.

Ive had my honeymoon in Zanzibar/Tanzania and Ive spent around 25 days in more then 6 different places in Zanzibar and Tanzania .Id say that for relaxing experience Villa Fleur was the best.Ive been there in January 2020 stayed for more the 4 days and I literally love it.Nice relaxing place.Restaurant was amazing with yummy food and beverage.Rooms were super comfortable and clean they even gave us an upgrade.The game room was nice.The balcony view was just breathe-taken.And as far as I remember the prices were reasonable.The staff were friendly as most the people in Zanzibar specially the manager and his assistant.The only point not nice was the wind 🌬️ it was windy 🍃 all time .I do strongly suggest this Villa for relaxing experience and peaceful time..Please keep in mind that my review is regarding my experience in January 2020

Unique place to stay. Quiet, isolated and romantic. Rooms are very unusual for Zanzibar have panoramic windows.Kind of a private beach +- 300 m long in case of low tide.Nice kitchen. Hosts are very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend the place. Really unique place and the location.

A beautiful villa in a quiet picturesque part of Zanzibar. The staff are very nice and accommodating. Good food and nice clean modern rooms. The views and location are amazing as well! They were great with our SUP group booking and we had an amazing adventure paddling the surrounding waters. Hope to go back again for another SUP adventure.

We stayed here as a large family a few years ago and so had access to the whole villa to ourselves for a few days. The concept itself is excellent. The quality of the accommodation is high. The rooms were well kept and maintained and were all in good working order, something which I think is hard to achieve in these types of lodges. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The villa has an excellent swimming pool on site which can be fun if youre a party with children. The beach is pristine! Theres literally nothing for miles so if you truly want to get away from everything this is your place. The wifi was a bit patchy, again something I would expect for this type of location. The only reason it doesnt get a 5 is because of the food. While the food itself was good the service, at the time, was really slow. It was almost an hour between the time the first and last dishes dish came out. When youre like us, as a large family with children, it becomes challenging. Like I said, this was a few years ago so I would very much hope so this has been rectified. I certainly wouldnt want that to put people off from staying here though. On the flip side the kitchen staff were prepared too cook anything within reason for us, not something you get in these types of accommodation. All in all, an excellent location if youre looking to get away from it all as a large family with high quality rooms.

The Villa is exceptional, very clean and quiet. Surrounded by the nature on 3 sides and by the ocean at the front.Staff is really helpful and friendly, they are always ready to help anytime when you want. Breakfast is included in the price that is rich for the beginning of the day.Perfectly clean (5/5), quiet rooms are available on two floors. Personally I liked the pool and the jakuzzi.Even if it belongs to Africa there is nothing to complain from the point of view of an European.Thank you for the exceptional time staying here!

A little piece of heaven! The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are extremely spacious with a private balcony and aircon. They offer a paid for service to collect and drop off at the airport, and a free daily shuttle to the local beach. However there is a private beach directly accessible from the property and the day can be ended off with a drink at the bar, whilst watching the ocean.

Terrific hotel with a cosy garden/pool area. Only seven rooms (five more are under construction) hence a place to relax and a familiar/informal atmosphere. Stayed here with family for six nights.

I have nothing but great admiration for this small but lovely hotel. At the same time Im really sad to be the one breaking these bad news to the rest of the world that the ever helpful and resourceful Pascal is no more, having succumbed to his injuries in a road crash last night/early this morning (15th October 2015). His pregnant wife sustained serious injuries and is in hospital awaiting a crucial surgical procedure that will determine the fate of the unborn baby.I had been in communication with Pascal as I booked for our honeymoon and when my wife and I missed our flight on Monday 12th October 2015, Pascal assured us that he would send a van to pick us up from the airport the following day Tuesday 13th October 2015. True to his word, we landed and found the van ready for us. We only met him in person yesterday and he told us about his French family and his new marriage to a Kenyan lady (with whom they were involved n the road crash).He allowed us to stay our planned 4 nights despite missing our first night.Baraka broke the news of Pascals sudden death to us when my wife, 10-month old baby and I were having breakfast (being the only guests at the hotel) and the appetite just disappeared. The mood among staff was depressing as some openly shed tears.I delayed posting this online as I waited for the news of Pascals death to reach his immediate family.As I write this, we are still the only guests at Villa Fleur de Lys and we have been told some expected guests cancelled their arrival upon learning of Pascals death. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Luxury cosy place, very quiet, suitable for couples to spend a weekend, cant imagine to stay there more than 2-3 nights - would get bored, too small & remote but very nice

The villa is beyond praise! We recommend everyone who wants privacy, the rooms are cozy and comfortable, a beautiful view of the ocean. But keep in mind that food is very expensive here, everything is in dollars and is several times higher than in general in Zanzibar! But since we had a car for rent, we went to other places to eat, without a car everything is very remote.

We arrived at the accommodation on the long dirt road, it was already evening. After waking up, we saw that we had come to a little paradise! Its magical! The garden is amazing, the view is dazzling, the experience is fabulous. The extremely friendly staff fulfilled all our wishes. We will never forget, thank you very much for everything, we have closed Villa Fleur de Lys in our hearts! ❤
