Beautiful brick Christian church. Simplified Gothic style, but evocative of the German imperial domination established in Tanganika before the World War.I spent every day while (in 2003) with Father Giuseppe MORATTI, parish priest in Matembwe, we went to both Lupembe and other parishes to follow the work of the new Catholic churches for which, first of all, we used the wood worked in the old carpentry of Matembwe and the bricks cooked by hand on the spot.
