Second time we stop here, still a very nice option for an overnight stop over for camping. 10000TZSpp. And the shower has now a roof! They also propose canoe trip on the river.------------ my 2017 comment :Very simple campsite but very clean ablution block (open sky), hot water and friendly and efficient staff. Good value for money and good stopover betweenDar and Arusha.
Perfect stopover on our way back to Dar es Salaam from the lake Natron. Rating 5 stars can look a little weird given that this is a very simple place. But you pay a very fair price for the confort that is given to you (TZS10,000 per person)! Helpful staff, beautiful view, many birds around... you can even rent a canoe if interested in exploring the river. It was the cheapest camping in our trip and yet it was much more well maintained then the campsites in the Serengeti where we pay 30 US dollars per person! Toilets and showers have no roof, which is quite amazing because it doesnt become a mosquito house of terror! They were neat and toilet paper was provided, plus we had our first hot shower in 9 days of camping in Tanzania! Earplugs can be useful as you might hear cars passing on the road during the night.
Traveling by bicycle through Tanzania. This was a perfect location to stop between Korogwe and Same.It is basically just a rustic campsite. There are also a couple of basic cottages with a self contained bathroom and shower.I was comfortable and it was in a nice setting by the river. I called ahead, and they prepared a nice dinner for me as well.
Badly maintained, inaccurate signs and directions. No other people, for good reason. Warm shower is a dribble from a tap till we found and opened the valve from the main storage tank the next day.
If you love nature this is the place to stop by
Nice
Located in a very nice place by the river.
