This is a blinding kite school, and a fantastic place to learn from scratch, improve, or hire from. The whole team at one love are great fun, super helpful and live & breath kite surfing, and their love & passion for the sport shines through in the way they run their kite school!I couldnt recommend highly enough, and weve loved learning here. Kiwengwa beach is a good place to learn, as its not as busy as Paje for example, and you have more space to play out in the open water. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed. James & Ella X

Ive always wanted to try kiteboarding: the One Love crew made it possible. My three friends and I signed up for lessons at One Love and had a great experience.My instructor, Mustafer (spelling may be wrong), was incredibly skilled at teaching and ensuring my safety during the lesson. He taught me all of the basic skills and concepts--e.g., wind clock, kite set-up, and kite control--progressing me to more-complicated techniques as my ability increased. We had an absolutely wonderful experience taking an 8hour course at this school! The instructors (we had Haji and Medi) were very informative, easy-going and made us feel like part of a family. They also charge a very competitive price, compared to the other options we saw, so can definitely recommend.

This kite school is amazing! The owner Salom is the best teacher i can ever imagine. He made me feel comfortable and fight my fear. In just a few hours i was able to control the kite, do body drag and even get on the board and ride for a few meters. I had tried kiting once before in Tarifa as my boyfirend is a kiter and was insisting..i was so terrified i thought i would never be able to kite. Even the Instructor in Tarifa had given up on me and said i should rather chill on the beach if i am so afraid.Thanks to Salom who explained things to me so well and made me feel confortable I feel so excited about this sport. Also Kiwengwa with its clear waters and long not crouded beach is the perfect spot for both people who want to learn as well as pros.

Kite was my dream, which I couldnt realize more than 4 years. Ive been in Zanzibar many times and started learning - but every time was fear! Salum from OneLoveKite school the best instructor Ive ever met. Hes calm, careful and super tolerant ))) Hes ready to train till the result! The whole school team is very responsive. Selim the owner of the kite shop is a real kiter. He just loves to be out in the wind, kite and jump around. But he also takes care for all other kiters out there even they did not book any course in his school. He gave free hints to improve your technique and for moves. And he even helped out to repair defects on the kite to just see u kiting and smiling again 😊👍 From what I saw the official training lessons are well structured and according to your skills. He was always aside the trainee and actively supported and trained. Just how it should be. The location allows even training lessons up to low tide +-2h since there are some sandbanks suitable for training sessions.The material is some years old but still ok...newer than my kites at least 😉. So you can also rent the equipment in case u dont need any training. Therefore 5 stars for the owner and his school.

I did my first kite lessons at One Love Kite and loved it from the beginning. I was not certainly sure if this is a sport for me but after a few minutes with my instructor i became really excited to take the challenge and become kite master 💪🏼 Guys made sure that everything was clear for me and that i felt safe during the lessons. They perfectly explained all the rules and were very motivating.The whole team is super friendly, helpful and fun. Their passion and energy are contagious ❤️Asante!

The school is in Kiwengwa Lagoon near VOI Kiwengwa Resort. If you bring your own kites, you can rent a board for a symbolic price. Even for complete equipment, the prices are very favorable. In the lagoon it is not a problem to find a place where you drive completely alone. The guys at the rental shop are very friendly and even if you have your equipment, they provide a complete service (before I changed, the kite was ready to take off and they packed my kite after riding). If you have a cheap kite or board for sale, they will be happy to buy it from you.Recommendation: it is necessary to have shoes at low tide, because there are plenty of hedgehogs in the water.

The kite surf school made a nice impression on me from the start. The course is based on the tides and the wind (Ive heard other things from other schools). I was able to take off in the water for the first time after 5 hours. We did both theory and exercises with the small kite. Ive never come into contact with a kite before, so steering was completely new to me.The prices are right for me and they dont pay attention to every minute that you spend with the trainer.Mustapha tries hard and helps you with good and manageable advice. Hello folks. My daughter took lessons here. She is absolutely thrilled. Great progress was seen from hour to hour. Really great. The teachers are super great. Really try really hard. The beach here is fantastic. I think the most beautiful here in Zanzibar. Ideally a restaurant right next door. You can really linger there. So if you want to kite, there is only one good school. One Love kite in Kiwengwa.

Salu and the guys from One Love Kite School were more than friendly, helpful, kind and attentive. They offered both for the transfer to and from the hotel, as I was staying in Uroa, and for assistance, given the little wind (unfortunately I was able to go there at the end of the season). Despite being an advanced, they accompanied me all the time. The spot is very wide, the sea just barely chopped, but the kites are few, so the maneuvers do not require particular attention towards other kiters. They are equipped with a recovery boat, but the wind is practically always onshore or onside, the only drawback, if there is very high tide, there is not much space to launch, but they are willing to take you out and recover them with the boat, but still overall more than enough. Spot also suitable for beginners, since during low tide hours (here it goes up and down very slowly), the beach expands enormously (all sand) leaving room for all the necessary evidence. The prices are more than fair, I found F-one and Ozone kites. Nor does their shop / storage / office, which has a nice shaded porch, do not hurt.To conclude, if you want to visit Zanzibar, perhaps in the company of the girl / or who might be bored elsewhere, here the place seems really good, while you kite, your partner can devote himself to one of the countless and interesting excursions on the island.
