We had a great 3 days stay in Ayla! The building is new, the rooms are spacious and clean, with great African decor - I loved the style! Also there was a balcony on the ocean side.The owner, Simai, was very kind and always available. Delicious breakfast. On the upper floor there is a common terrace with a cocktail bar - perfect for the evening chill.In front of the building there are comfortable sunbeds on the beach.Nearby there are a couple of good restaurants, accessed via beach.We highly recommend the place to stay in Kiwengwa.

Z.M.H.A very charming place to relax. We ( 4 adults ) had super pleasant days there. The small but fine family -run bed & breakfast is lovingly furnished and has very nice and clean rooms. The staff is pleasant and the owner Simai is always ready to listen and helps where he can. The day begins with breakfast on the great roof terrace and for us it always ends there with a delicious cocktail.An additional plus point: 3 good restaurants are only a few steps away.We really enjoyed our time there.

We stayed at Ayla Beach House for 6 days and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Simai, the owner, designed every detail beautifully. The house is furnished and decorated in a mix of african and modern elements. I loved the style! It is located directly on the beach and since we stayed in a room facing the sea, we had direct beach- and seaview and a private terrace. There are moskitonets at the terrace windowdoor, so you can sleep with the window open and with the sound of the sea if you wish.The staff was always super friendly and sweet and Simai helped with every request we had. The roof top area is great for chilling, having a sundowner or playing some rounds of Bao.And Ayla Beach House is the only place around built and run by a Zanzibari owner (it is mostly foreigners running the hospitality businesses there), which is cool because you can get to know zanzibari life and zanzibari people better.We highly recomend staying at Ayla Beach House when visiting Zanzibar and we will be back as soon as possible!

Fantastic local owned Hotel with a lot of charm! Its really clean and everything is well organised. Super good drinks on the rooftopbar and amazing seaview from all the rooms + hotel. Thanks a lot for the beautiful stay!

We had an exceptional stay! The rooms have a direct view of the ocean. The seaside is supervised at night allowing you to sleep pleasantly with the window open (no need for air conditioning). From morning to evening the view is incredible from the bedroom terrace. Not to mention the rooftop where you can have breakfast. On one side a breathtaking view of the village and its life, on the other the beauty of the ocean. The kindness of the owner, Sinai, coupled with his helpfulness only contributes to the beauty of the stay in the Ayla beach house. 5 p.m.: spice tea time not to be missed!Thanks again for everything !

You were already fantastic and the place was wonderful but from the photos I see that you have worked hard to make the structure even more enchanting, congratulations guys !! An ideal location for holidays, a bungalow directly by the sea, a relaxing atmosphere where you can admire the beautiful sunsets, new structure, ecological decor with attention to detail, clean, well-kept. The sandy, extensive beach is an ideal place for sunbathing and also for swimming in the warm blue sea. Very kind service, thank you Ayla Beach House.

Fantastic vacation. Thank you Simai for making us feel at home, for organizing a new experience for us every day, for guiding us through the local bars and restaurants to taste and savor local tastes. After months of confinement at home, eating barefoot on the hot sand is an experience to be repeated ... LETS ARRIVE wait for us at the airport we will recognize you by your engaging smile .. And get ready because we will arrive for the Dawn Tea on the terrace.

Wonderful place, very kind and helpful staff. Experience to be repeated, for me, who am a lover of sailing and the sea, the snorkeling excursion was a daydream. I can not wait to come back!
