Kimbilio lodge is located at Kilwa Masoko, its a nice lodge because of the designation of their rooms and garden. Great location with beautiful views. I recommend this lodge for family, solo travellers and travel couples.

Kimbilio is a pearl! Located in the centre of the kilwa masoko as grate sea,secluded area, high level of comfort, manager Omari and waiter Hawa are very good , Try Efron cuisine , is very good. I also would like to thank the general manager Betty for the fantastic job whe she have done in training the staff. Ill come back for more days!

The hotel was altogether very nice and relaxing. There is a good breeze coming from the ocean with the sound of waves for peaceful sleep. However, the whole experience would have been better if there was fresh sheets on the bed and a more general smell of cleanliness.

A fantastic place to get away from the regular commercialised establishments. The accomodation is simple but very comfortable . The chalets are literally on the beach. Food and service was excellent. The Italian caretakers are extremely helpful and interesting to talk with. I certainly recommend Kimbilio as a great place to stay. Be sure to set aside a day or 2 to visit the ruins . It is worth going with a guide to the ruins.

One of the best Lodge in Kilwa, Meals are mostly Seafood and prepared on request. Very nice place with beach, and very cool environment for relaxing.

Kimbilio Lodge is a nice place to visit beach

Its a lovely place for friends and family or simply some lone time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you can plan group events like beach bonfire, BBQs or even karaoke, its the place to be!

The lodge is located just along the beach where local people pass by and enjoy the sea. You will be surprised how close you will be with local people. Your lodge will be just 3 meters from the beach where people are walking. You can hear their voices clearly even in your lodge , but the staff says there is no security problem.Regarding the quality, there is no big difference from other places named lodges.Some may like this kind place but I think it should be relatively expensive to stay in such kind of places with this level of service. I paid 120USD for one night. If it is cheaper, I might use it again.

Secret paradise on a still secluded beach!We have been living in Lindi for a developmental aid project for 2 years and the Kimbilio Lodge was our hideaway from all the work and difficulties of life/the world/the divergent culture.Small Bandas (circular huts) directly at the beach with comfortable beds (strong mattresses, separate bathroom), morning view of the rising sun over the ocean with the beach 2 meters away, very friendly staff, amazing Swahili-Italian-Fusion kitchen, and a surrounding hardly describable!There is Kilwa Kisiwani, the ancient arabic trade town of the 14th - 16th century. There are places to snorkel, with fishes and coral reeves, there is places to hike, and so on. The Selous Game Reserve is close.If you happen to come around the region of south east Tanzania, you have to check in here.

Down to earth, simple but comfortable, beautiful location, warm ocean, scenic snorkelling, large tasty local meal, friendly staff.Swim with dinoflagellates!What more do you want?

Absolutely fantastic. The bungalows are great but the food is the best around. A beautiful, quite place where you can sit back and relax.

Very well maintained lodge directly on Kilwa Masoko beach. Delicious cuisine and a large choice of spirits. Possibility to organize boat trips to visit the sites of Kilwa Kisiwani and Songi Mnara, and snorkel. Highly recommended.

6 bungalows on a superb beach, suffocating atmosphere due to lack of air renewal despite the fans, frequent power cuts despite a sometimes late-start generator. Almost no WiFi. Great staff and great food but very expensive for Tanzania.
