Beautiful, super clean hotel with stunning views over the lagoon and direct access to the beach. Loved the peaceful relaxing setting!Staff were really friendly and helpful and arranged tours and guides for us (both excellent) as well as a boat trip to some of the islands. We also had dinner there at the Slow Leopard and the food was absolutely delicious! Super fresh and tasty - highly recommend on all fronts!

You could tell the owner took their time to curate such a wonderful place in the middle of nowhere. As a backpacker who was keen on visiting Kilwa Kisiwani, Slow leopard was the best option for me. I loved my experience there.

We stayed in slow leopard for 3 days and it was really a great experience. The boss and his staff were so kind and they facilitated everything we needed.The instalations are awesome and the food incredible.

Had an amazing stay at the Slow Leopard Kilwa! The hostel is located right on a beautiful beach which means you can swim / snorkel less than a minute from your room. The food was outstanding - fresh fish and delicious sides every day. The day trips were also great - heading out on the boat to visit scenic areas and snorkeling, fishing and exploring the ruins were all well organised and really easy for us. The whole experience was great value, Id definitely go back! Its really worth the trip.

I enjoyed my stay. Affordable prices. Seafood was very great. Hassan was very helpful and informative about to explore Kilwa. So much activities to do.If it’s possible to fix some parts of the road from the hotel second sign it will be very helpful for small and lower cars.

A backpackers with a difference. Elegant and picturesque structure located on a beautiful stretch of beach with some breathtaking views from a rooftop lookout. It has an amazing homely vibe. Rooms, dorm, showers and washrooms were all delightfully clean. Particularly loved the comfortable mattress.An awesome variety of meals cooked by the most creative chef who definitely knows how to bring out the flavours in his foods.Super friendly staff, excellent service and first-rate treatment of guests.These guys have got it right.Well recommended for a five star plus rating.Will definitely return to this stunning spot.

DO NOT STAY HERE! THE PLACE IS A TOTAL DUMP AND NONE OF THE ROOMS LOOK THE WAY THEY ARE ADVERTISED!

Warm-hearted people, beautiful views and decor, exciting activities, good food and privacy. In the end of the bumpy road and bushes we found a diamond which will stay in our hearts forever. Perfect place for a weekend getaway or for longer visit.

A very cool place for backpackers.

It is also beautiful and strategic location and isolated but no privacy. These places make sense if they are respected by the guests who stay there. It is unthinkable that a dinner turns into a chaos without any respect for others who are having dinner or reading or just watching a superstellato sky. The table then wanted to exaggerate transforming the common space in a disco with songs and dances to unsustainable volume. There are other places where you can dance and sing their hearts out and these places called clubs. Another no less serious impossible to take a shower for lack of water. It is a very expensive 20 euro for a bed in a dormitory with 10 beds and then the double rooms at extortionate prices, and you can not leave guests with no water in the bathrooms. I do not recommend this place.
