It is the only catholic church from the colonial years to be found in the Kilimanjaro region of Moshi rural district near Kibosho hospital serving the smokers and surrounding areas. The church was built of stone by the Germans in the 1880s, the arrival of these missionaries provided an opportunity for the Kibosho people to find a place of worship, the construction of a large Kibosho hospital, a seminary and a secondary school. , is the confluence of the two rivers Nsoo and Kilombanga.
