We have stayed at Blue Reef Bungalows for two nights in January.Overall, the place is really great. Friendly staff, clean (if somewhat dark) bungalow. The beforementioned lack of bathroom door has not bothered us at all. There were prologed power outages during our stay, but the staff allways started a generator on request, so that we could take a shower. Breakfasts were a bit basic (eggs, yoghurt with cereals or pancakes), but tasty. Good pizzas on the spot. Restaurant is at their main establishment, cca 2 min walk on the beach, there you can have a la carte dinner or lunch. We had a dinner there on the first day, it was not bad in any way, but have to admit we have eaten better on Zanzibar. The place is quiet, comfortable, really welcoming family atmosphere. And the setting is unbelievable - right on the beach, weith a breathtaking view. If you are looking for an affordable accomodation in Jambiani, this is definitely the place to go.

Awesome place in Jambiani. Great cocktails, food and staff. If you go out fishing you get your catch prepared for you in the restaurant when you return. Absolute amazing. 👌

Lodge is very well maintained and run by nice owners. All service is provided by team of nice staff and I can recommend this place to all others. Jambiani is out of crowded tourist places and we enjoyed it much more than other spots.

We just had our lunch here. I ordered samosa and it was delicious. My better part ordered tropical sandwich and a brownie and she also said it was good. Nice place with sunsbeds, sofas and some bedswings. The staff was friendly and the food came quite quickly. I would come here again.

I have to say the owners did a lot of work to renovate this amazing place directly on the beach! Everything is very high quality there, the accomodation, bar, food, drinks and the stuff... It is good for couples, families or group of friends. You can arrange your trips here, go for adventure with professional fisherman and have one of the best trips in your life! Also the owners are very friendly, open and helpful :) In the evening you can walk 2 minutes and have very good drink or food.... if you like some sports you can play table tenis, billiard etc. If you are lucky and get Natty as barman you will get not only amazing drink but also you will be not bored because he is just really nice person :)

I was visiting Zanzibar first 2 weeks of December. Me and my friends booked 14 nights in Blue Reef Sport&Fishing Logde. It was best deciosion ever!!! Place is amazing. The owners Thomas, Nicky and Nathan are warm, friendly, helpful family. They were very kind, always asking if we need anything, always have a time for a small talk during our stay. The place have fantastic vibe, we were amazed how we felt this family atmosphere there. The food was delicious, every day you can choose from list of great dishes, every day catch of the day. Trio of tuna, my favourite. When it came to center of Blue Reef the bar we cannot forget about the Staff, all kind and smiled every day, Wilhelmina, Anton, Juma, Carlos, Boniface and of course Natty, creator of all specials, from the heart, creations, vibrations drinks!!!Dont think too much and visit this great place, I will come back for sure!

Relaxed lodge with amazing views. Located little outside the very touristic places on zanzibar, making it perfect for a laid-back holiday. Staff is very friendly and helpful. True beach feeling and highly recommended.

Be very careful with this hotel - they will ask you to pay cash and at the same time they will block same amount of money in your credit card! Now 15 days after paying cash I can not take my money from the credit card.

Excellent stone oven pizza. You can put your own topping together. Super nice service who speaks excellent English. Food came surprisingly quickly for Zanzibar standards. The beach and view is really nice. I can also recommend cocktails. Full bar available.

Bad comfort, bad rooms, bad wi-fi (does not work in the room). Poor value for money. Stuffing heat No air in the room despite two modest and noisy fans, except perhaps the two rooms that are exposed to the sea?No water bottle provides gracefully as in other resorts, idem for shower gel and shampoo. Shabby bathroom, no hot water in the sink.View The strong heat, better a place with a swimming pool and air conditioning, its warmly recommended, this is the case to say it! 🥵 This will make your stay significantly more enjoyable and more comfortable.Otherwise the sandy corner is quite cool, and the friendly staff for drinking cocktails.Also, in a general way, if you do not know, Jambiani is quieter than Paje where there is more atmosphere and more small restaurants around, the sea is also more crystalline with even more sublime colors.

The cocktails were pretty good. Happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 😉Lack just a little topping on the pizza however the dough was very well made, cooked over a wood fire. The setting is very nice.

Nice cozy hotel. The rooms are of course very authentic, but the lack of a door to the toilet was embarrassing and there was a lack of a minibar, there was nowhere to cool the water. All food is delicious, dinners are very varied, there are only 3 options for breakfast, but it was enough for us.

Not a big hotel with a nice area. Not ordinary living rooms. (no toilet door, cork curtain). There is nothing to do in the room, I spent all my time on the territory of the hotel. The food is delicious and the portions large.

Good little cheap resort right on the sandy beach of Jambiani. The Resort is divided into two parts.Nr1 and Nr2The calmer is Nr2.There is no pool, but there is the sea.To get pizza made in Nr2 is a great wood-fired oven.

Very nice little place facing the beach where you can spend a day relaxing with the music of the cocktail bar while lying on the loungers. They also prepare snacks and there is a restaurant available if you want to have dinner. The boss is very nice and helpful.

The complex is located on a quiet stretch of beach in Jambiani. It is pure Africa. Nice beach with strong tides.Super nice and helpful staff.The bungalows are simply furnished, but are very nice, very close to the sea.The food is good. The portions were not too big and a bit monotonous after 2 weeks. The cocktails can be highly recommended.

A magnificent place, a warm atmosphere with a smiling staff and owners who come by to exchange a few words every evening with customers during dinner.We ate very well, the menu is different every evening, the fish are deliciously cooked.A perfect place to spend a holiday with ease!

It is a lodge with very nice staff and a bar with music and seats. The rooms are small, simple and clean. Nice shower. There is no glass in the windows, so there is a lot of noise from the bar, which closes at 22-23. Voir considering that it is not really suitable. Pizzas in restaurant are tasty

We came here two afternoons, and ate there one evening. The place, the music, the friendliness of the waiters ... Happiness. Real professionals. The fish is divinely well cooked. We are a restaurateur, and were just very impressed. Thank you all, it was really TOP.

If the barman was there at 7.50 a.m. and you asked for coffee, the answer was coffee only from 8 a.m., in fact there was no coffee before 8.30 a.m.Most of the breakfast was tight. A coffee for free is not much.There was water at the bar in refilled glass surfaces. A great idea? In any case. But then you should clean the bottle when you return it and not fill it up again immediately.The food was always very tasty,the portions should be a bit bigger. Variety in the food wasnt always available.Kiters have a problem accommodating their kite scraps, luckily there was one of our group who made his balcony available.The staff was always very friendly and served with local speed.Storage options are not available in all roomsA clothesline would be really helpful outside to dry the wet clothes.Next time I would bring clothespins, leash and water shoes from home.Depending on the room, there were more or less noises that impaired the nights sleep.The background noise is enormous, the mosque wakes up at 5 am at the latest, and there is always something going on in the huts behind the lodge. There are no window panes, only mosquito screens.The location on the beach is perfectView that compensates for a lot .. Pure deceleration.You should check your daily consumption in the evening.The Dutch owners acceptTanzania shillings, euros, dollars, bank transfer and also PayPal.

The place is very calm and beautiful, with a lovely garden, delicious pizza and lovely friendly staff! My wife and I really enjoyed spending our vacation here!
