Knowledable instructors, top quality gear and a fabulous spot! I myself am on beginner level and within few hours I was able to work on my skills and ride upwind :) two watch outs: if you are a beginner don’t go out unless it’s low tide & watch your step as rocks are spiky, preferably wear shoes in the water!

Great Kite School which I can highly recomment - I had some lessons with Nick, who brought me on the board. He does an amazing job managing the school, as he and his team are really professional, transparent, fair and lessons and equipment is always safe. Lessons are offered in different languages. Straight after arriving in Jambiani I decided to try out Kite surfing for the first time and (lucky for me) discovered Lucky Kite! As a total beginner I received an extensive introduction about the do’s and dont’s by Nick, followed by practical hours in the water with John. I promise, the teachers will make it possible for you to learn quickly and make you feel comfortable and safe. Couldn’t had been more blessed to be surrounded by competent, professional and funny people who made this first experience unforgettable. All in one, 10/10 for the team, gear, and spot. We had an amazing time with Nick, Brendon and Antoine! The kite lessons were very professional and friendly which made me progress fast with my kite boarding skills. Even my partner, who already knew how to kite, always got a good tip, a hand to carry out the equipment to the water (due to high tide and low tide) and storage space for his gear.We had a really good time at Lucky Kite and will be back as soon as we visit Zanzibar again! My kids did a kitesurfing course at Lucky Kite and loved it. The owner places safety over profit and told me honestly after a few lessons that my younger son was not yet ready to be safely on the board. My other son had loads of fun with Brendon. I can´t judge myself but from my son`s stories, he is a great instructor and good with kids.

This is the best kite school on Jambiani beach (I tried a few...). Nick, Claire and team are very professional, efficient, easy going and top equipped!Nick and Claire are phenomenal coaches and don’t fool around but focus on teaching kitesurfing quickly (as opposed to many other schools which are driving up hours so they can charge more).Kite lessons are at low tide, it usually takes 6hrs (private) or 9hrs (semi-private) to learn, and costs 250-300€. The coaches speak English, German, and French (depending on coach).Renting costs are 20€ per hour, there are no day packages. Even though other schools might offer half day (3hrs) or day packages, I found this system much better, since I only have been charged for riding time (not for setup and dismantling). For 3 days, I totaled 110€ in rental costs, which in sum was cheaper than I would’ve been charged other schools.The gear is always updated (I think there is a duotone partnership with the school). I’ve been riding latest ‘19 and ‘20 equipment and was covered even in low winds with kites up to 18m. Bord sizes range from small (around 138cm) up to 163cm.

Kite surfing is definitely something you should have a go at if you get the time and the winds and Lucky Kite is the perfect company to learn with. The quality of instructors and gear that they use is excellent and makes the process feel very safe and well managed. Instructions are clear and easy to grasp and both the instructors I had lessons with were very patient a d reassuring. Exactly what you want when learning a new sport that has some risks. I highly recommend this company, when o come back I will use them again.

I liked the atmosphere from the people working there and at the bar next to it. The instructor was really patient and after a few liters of water in my mouth and some falls and raises I had some awesome moments on the board I will never forget! Price is okay, have luck with the wind and the rest depends on your discipline.

The instructors are competent, experienced and have a permanent overview of the water and their guests. Not only for beginners, but also for advanced and hobby kiters, the Rivier with its turquoise water offers good conditions and a wonderful view. Rantal and storage guests benefit from the friendly beach service. I felt very comfortable there and as a beginner I was able to get on the board in just a few days. A small, everlasting community is created through constant exchange with one another. Here you sit together and talk about the kite day. I thank you for the great time.

Arrived in Zanzibar with the intention of enjoying the beach, when we saw all the kitesurf sails we said to ourselves that we absolutely had to try the experience! The Lucky Kite school welcomed us very well and the atmosphere was nice. My 60-year-old mother, my sister with a cognitive handicap and I were able to do an initiation adapted to our levels with Antoine, a patient and super friendly French instructor. It was great, the 3 of us loved it! We had a really good time there and we will continue kitesurfing in France!

Very nice spot at ebb and flow. Sometimes you just have to run to find the water. Nick has an idea what he is doing and the umbrellas were from Core and in good condition.

Who wants to learn kiting should definitely go to Jambiani to Lucky Kite! Turquoise warm water, standing area and nice and competent kite instructors. We were there for 10 days and it was really fun. The team around Nick offers a great program not only on the water, but also on windless days. The sunset sailboat trip in Chwaka Bay was one of the highlights of our trip. We would love to come back!

SUPER KITE SCHOOL. Course in French with Antoine who has a perfect pedagogical approach. After 6 hours of lessons, first edges in this turquoise water at 26 °. What happiness ... Even at 63 years old you can learn and of course I will continue my practice in a little cooler Breton water ...

We bought a group lesson for beginners 9 hours course AND $ 350. As a result, each time we had a different instructor who communicates and presented information in his own way. There was also an instructor who spoke English very poorly, which also complicated understanding. The equipment itself is more or less in good condition, but there is also a completely worn one. In general, we really liked the kiting itself, but there was a residue from this school, although the owner was German, he should not have been cunning as the locals. But unfortunately we made a mistake and in the end they calculated the time not only for classes, but also for preparation for them, and even a conversation with an instructor in a cafe. At the same time, no one is in a hurry anywhere that it is more efficient to use the time and try to teach you how to ride the board as soon as possible. In addition to this, we were promised one instructor for two, but it turned out for three and he was constantly changing. In general, it is not at all a European approach. And with such a service you could find much cheaper. Next time, we will be more careful in choosing a school ...
