The location on the beach of this resort is fantastic...you can forget your shoes and even your flip flops for the rest of your stay. The room are very nice, with local furnitures, big bathroom and shower. The food was very good as well. Soups and salads are great, and fresh local food. Kerry and Brad are great owners, and with their nice staff are extremely helpful. They can arrange everything you need. Very recommendable.

This is an awesome place to sit back and enjoy one of the best views of the ocean. The owners are so friendly and accommodating. Truly good hearted down to earth people ☺️. The food is excellent. I couldnt resist over stuffing myself. So many rich flavorful meals to choose from. Here you will find very nice and cozy bungalows to retire to and the end of your day of sun bathing, eating or just hanging out pool side. The staff is amazing....just amazing 💯. They are so friendly and catering I couldnt possibly ask for better. This place makes you feel like family returning home for the holidays. We stayed for 6 nights in Driftwood and we had a nice time. Rooms are good value for money and comfortable.The owners are lovely, the staff make their best to accommodate you and are really nice and the food/cocktails are good.

We did not stay here, but kept coming back for the food and company.The owners and staff were fantastic.Shout out to Terry, JJ, Brady and Kerry.They did a great job making the restaurant and bar (layout & experience-wise) feel friendly, homey and very welcoming.Can 100% recommend a visit here.

Home away from home only better. An absolutely beautiful place to relax and unwind. Loved every minute of my stay there, even extended for a few more days and now I am sad to leave ☹️. We absolutely loved our 2-weeks stay at this lovely lodge:*The warm welcome by the owners Kerry and Brady sets already the scene for a very chilled and nice atmosphere at the place. They make sure that you are very well taken care of and can help you organize everything that you need. The entire place with its very friendly and nice staff feels like your home and family from day one. We were extremely happy that we had pre-booked the entire 2 weeks. A lot of the other guests liked it so much that they wanted to prolong their stay, which is not always possible as the lodge is quite popular.*You can really feel this place has been designed with love and attention to detail. The rustic but yet cozy style fits the scenery perfectly, especially the beautiful garden and greenery.*It is a small and intimate lodge, so it is easy to meet people, if you like that, but gives you as well lots of privacy if you prefer it*We totally underestimated how much we would appreciate the infitiy pool! Especially during days with very low tide its a plus. We spent a lot of time in the pool enjoying the amazing beach and sea view with a nice drink from the bar*Everything we had from the restaurant was delicious and prices are pretty much normal and the same almost everywhere.*WiFi in the common areas is fast and strong*Our room had a ceiling fan and a standing fan which was ok for us. Some of the rooms have AC, so ask upfront if thats important to you.*Proper hot shower*Breakfast was really good - fresh juice and the option to choose between fresh fruit with pancakes or french toast or english breakfast with eggs etc. Be prepared for instant coffee, as good coffee in general is a challenge on the entire island. At the end of the day its a remote island where shortage of some important goods can happen*The part of Jambiani beach where Driftwood is located is laid back and quiet, which we liked a lot. If youre looking for a busy beach and parties then you need to head to Paje, which is a 10 min taxi ride.*There is a nice kite surfing spot 15min walking from the lodgeEnjoy your stay, you absolutely wont regret it!

Beautiful restaurant and grounds, delicious food, friendly staff. stable electricity and internet were seen in the restaurant. we had to work at the computer, but the owners do not really like this, since this is not a place to work. they endured us until evening, but we had to leave and dine elsewhere. thanks to the owners for their patience.

Amazing place to stay 🥰 the couple owning the place really welcomed us warmly ❤ just a corner of paradise! Food is great! People here are soo friendly: i feel like home. Loved our stay here. Owners are both welcoming and warm. Staff are great, really friendly and helpful. Stayed here twice due to kite surfing, so experienced 2 different rooms. Both were impeccable- clean, practically on the beach and kitted out with mosquito nets and fans. Food also good, with The specials board offering some great treats. Thanks for a great stay!

This is my favorite place in Zanzibar and Ive lived here almost two years! The atmosphere is fantastic, youll feel so at home. The facilities are great, nice pool and relaxing areas. Rooms are cosy, everything is there and lots of attention paid to details. Plus a really good breakfast far above Zanzibar hotel average. Above all the owners and staff are fabulous, so kind and personal and trying to make you feel home. Will absolutely be back here :)

We were on Zanzibar late November, beginning of December to visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of them was the tentative Jozani Forest/Chwaka Bay Conservation Area, the Driftwood Beach Lodge is located next to it, the perfect location for both beach and nature!Jambiani is known for some of the best and most beautiful beaches on Zanzibar. Staying at Driftwood Beach Lodge where you are facing the clear blue water of the Indian Ocean and step into the pure white sand outside your door was a spectacular experience.The way you get greeted by Kerry and Brady sets the ambience perfectly, warm and welcoming. This is a small and personal lodge located perfectly by the beach. The whole place just breaths chill, beach and sun. This rustic lodge is small with only a few bungalows and sits right on the beach. Zanzibar is an island where the difference between high and low tide is substantial, sometimes going as far as 3 km out when it is low. Practically this means you need to have a pool where you are staying. The one here, as you can see in the photos, is beautifully located on the beachfront and really is the crown jewel of the place. Since the lodge is small you won’t have to fight for space here. We got so tanned spending or days in the sun here!Our bungalow with a nice patio was located facing the Indian Ocean, so beautiful. It was really spacious with a great bed that we slept so well in, falling asleep listening to the waves breaking in the distance. Our free-standing bungalow actually had two showers where one of them was outside. Showering while looking at the stars was a really cool and memorable experience!Breakfast, and all the other meals, we had in the on-site open-air covered restaurant/bar. Sitting there having food and/or drinks was always a pleasure, great food, cold beer and great company! Staying at the Driftwood Beach Lodge was a great experience and we definitely hope to be back someday.

A lovely little place in Jambiani. Walk in customers for drinks and food are welcome and the à la carte menu is reasonably priced and the quality is excellent. For guests staying there the rooms are comfortable and the managers are very knowledgeable and happy to help with advice and bookings for adventures. I loved my visit and will visit again if I can.

Tried a couple of places in jambiani and this one is by far the best! the hosts are the most warm and welcoming people we have met in a while and really made us feel home! kitchen, staff, rooms and pool are excellent! couldnt be better!

Incredible spot to discover zanzibar. Everything was perfect (especially the swimming pool, the cosy outside area, the food, the cheap drinks, the friendly atmosphere and the Amazing staff). Everything is made to make you feel really relax and the staff would do everything for the guests. I Highly recommend this Amazing place

Excellent hotel. Cozy houses, a private area with a swimming pool, where the scourge fights wont reach you. The house has everything you need for living. The kitchen in the bar (and bar) is open until 9, but in fact until the last visitor. Cool, friendly hosts. Recommend. It was very sad to leave there ❤️

Portions are small. Price is 10 $ or 20,000 shelling. Other dishes are more expensive. For the village it is expensive.

Paradise for the misanthrope! A chic empty beach and a cozy, pleasant little hotel. Quiet and comfortable place, good bungalows, well-equipped common area, sun loungers and sofas almost on the beach, but the distance is maintained. Deep pool, landscaped area. Very hospitable and friendly hosts, you feel like visiting! I highly recommend it!
