We met Kim at her new coffee shop in Paje, and she directed us to her first restaurant in Jambiani. We are thrilled with her passion of bringing the taste from her home to the far east Africa which we didnt expect to have before traveling. We were also inspired with her story how she started her business and now having 2 successful places in Zanzibar, giving training and job opportunities to local young people. Congratulations πŸ‘ 🎊 She also gave us a lot of great tips to enjoy the island.More than that we enjoyed it very much our meals with the chill vibe on the beach. There are some dishes Kim and her Chef created for us based on her mood... how fun! The dumplings and Pho were top. We kept coming back almost everyday, except for the day we had excursions ☺.Thank you Kim and your amazing team, you made our travel! We will miss you and your place

Cooking out of menu... Perhaps, I was super lucky to travel during the quiet time in Zanzibar. Got recommended by my hotel to come and eat here. A bit far from Bwejuu where I stay and for the first time,, its a little bit confusing by going through the hotel reception. The staff were very friendly and flexible. It wasnt too busy and the Waiter to us that the Chef can cook something out of menu only for you. I felt like we were treated in the way Vietnamese people do in their country. We didnt meet Kim (I was curious about her because I heard many things about her), but definitely she did a good job training her staff. We had Tofu in Tomato sauce, its not in the menu but it should be ;) very authentic taste. Definitely will come back many time

Kims Vietnamese food inspired by what her mother taught her, is truly a food experience. Food is made with outmost care and attention to details and only local ingredients are used. Despite us being a party of 14 people all food came in warm and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere under the palm trees with candles are amazing. I just love everything about Kim and her cooking and go here when I need a treat. Best food I had on Zanzibar.

Good location and friendly staff. Small menu but very flexible. After the first time we ordered Spring rolls, they came as fried nem and the waiter explained that the fresh roll that they call summer rolls are not in the menu but they can make fresh up on request. Turn out our favorite dish. Returns several time during our stay in Jambiani. Highly recommend πŸ‘Œ

If I could give a 10 star review, this would be the case. Each plate is extremely tasty and comes in an abundant portion. Alert: Kim’s dumplings are extremely addictive! If you haven’t been here yet, you definitely should.Highly recommended!

The food is painfully average, absolutely not worth the price. Vietnamese is my favourite cuisine and I eat it several times per week in various locations all over the world, and this was a huge disappointment, definitely not worth the good reviews. The tofu was overfried, blandness of meals is compensated by excess of salt. Also, the service is slow and not very attentive, one must almost beg for their attention.

A super nice place with Vietnamese food a few steps from the beach with the best food Ive been eating on Zanzibar so far. I was eating a menu presented by the very nice owner Kim with hot buns, shrimps, tuna and some more things, excellent, thanks!

Best food on the south east coast of Zanzibar. The place is an oasis - you can spend the entire day there. Plenty places to chill an relax and of course , most importantly to eat super delicious vietnamese food, prepared by the lovely owner Kim. Fresh, authentic food made with love. A foodies paradise and highly recommended to everybody who loves food.

Nice place and friendly staff! But service is disappointing. They would serve 3/4 plates, one person to stay and watch the others to eat. Later to take the plate before you finish your meal - not cool! Prices are to expensive for meals that are medium to small and bland in the taste.

I like Vietnamese cuisine a lot and eat a lot, from Vietnam to Berlin, where there are many authentic places. I was glad to see a Vietnamese restaurant near my hotel. I wanted a soup in which the Vietnamese are the champions. I was given a bowl with traces of onion and chives in addition to pasta, plus three small shrimps, two pieces of fish and two octopus particles. Everything is very hard, because it is cooked for a long time. The broth - and it is not malice - it differed little from warm water. Fortunately, I got hot sauce and seasoned a little ... It was the worst but also the most expensive ($ 14) Vietnamese soup I have ever eaten. Not wanting to jump to conclusions, I went again. I ordered dumplings and fried rice with vegetables, KimsMama ... Dumplings okay, although they are not Vietnamese flavors. And the rice is bland, bland, trace amounts of vegetables, similarly fried eggs. The hot sauce did not help either. Thread. A small pile of tasteless rice. But the price for both dishes is like a five-star place, because its $ 18. Anyway, this place has little or nothing to do with Vietnamese cuisine. And the prices for the dishes are taken from the ceiling. The third time I will definitely not go.
