If you’re going through Iringa, or even if you make a special trip, Neema Crafts is well worth the visit! Great place to grab a cup of coffee or cake… or sandwich. Visit the workshop to see where all the beautiful designs are made and then shop for friends and family in the storefront. The whole center supports people with disability.
Neema is such a great place to stop in for food, a place to work and for accommodation! If you have time definitely take a tour around the workshop, it’s incredible. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming and makes your day a little brighter 🌞

I slept 2 times in the nema craft. In the First time i had a Family room and the Second time i had a Double room and then switcht to a Family room again. the Rooms where really nice and had a fair Price. Also the receiptionist were really friendly all the time. The Shop is a bit expensive if you compare it to the prices on the market or the prices on the massai market but its handmade from disabled People and they really need the Support and the Money. The food is really nice and european and has normal prices. The Restaurant also has a really nice Design.I can fully recommend the Hotel, Shop and Restaurant for a visit !
A lovely spot. Great food. Very clean and the coffee was the best!!!!
Great place with the nicest people who work there. visited three times. ate pizza, sandwich and burger. chocolate desserts with ice cream are super delicious. the interior of the institution is colonial, well done. Absolutely recommended
I love this place for many reasons;- The majority of their staffs are people of disabilities.- Their workshop make amazing eco friendly hand craft products.- Their lodge is clean and affordable for anyone and it’s located at the center of Iringa town.
The entrance to the hostel is through the side and you need to enter in the main gate. So quite hidden if you dont know where youre going. The hostel caters mainly for the volunteer/NGO kind so it could get quite full of there is a big group in town. The receptionist was zero helpful when we went and just said they were full. I understand they try to employ people with disabilities but they could either be trained better or have signs up saying something. And to be honest Im still not sure if the receptionist had an ability or was just plain rude.
This is a must see for Iringa. They are doing a great job helping disabled people. Take the time to go on the tour. Relax and enjoy a great meal. Or even spend the night at the guesthouse. You can even learn Tanzanian sign language. Enjoy the smiles of the staff. They also have a great gift shop to buy from.
A very nice place. Good services like accommodation, food, reachable etc
Beautiful shop at the ground floor with handmade bags, clothes, books, and different objects.Tasty restaurant at the 1st floor with large choice of food and drinks.Very friendly and efficient staff. Smart pricing, good WiFi, balcony and sofas.
Very good place to stay, delicious meals staff are friendly
The heart and soul of Iringa. Crafts shop with unique quality items made in the workshop by disabled people, restaurant with deaf waiters, guesthouse with clean rooms. The craft shop has so many nicely designed things like notebooks, candle holders, clothing, greeting cards and bags to name a few.
Super friendly and funny staff! They alone could be a reason for visiting but theres also delicious food (if anyone craves chocolate try the brownies, theyre amazing) and beautiful clothes/accessories/ home decor!
Lovely stuff to buy and all made on site for a great price. Highly recommend the tour round the workshop to meet all the staff making the products. Cafe was nice with a good selection of dishes.
Am glad i passed here and joined a part of the story, i saw this place on BBC and i had been anxious to be here ever since, the reality meet the expectations, is such an amazing place, so wonderful, and inspiring with all the things they are doing for the greater cause, God bless whoever made this possible up and running and managed really well, the workshop tour was really amazing and inspiring, i will always pass around here to be a part of the story, and will bring more people, the food is just perfect and the coffee was awesome,

Its fantastic, sweet, a place you would meet for a meeting, breakfast, lunch or small talk
Amazing products mostly handmade , great job u all!
Always a safe haven when i go to iringa. Very good food and a quiet place to chill out. They have nice balcon where you can find a nice breeze if you want to cool down. They have good food, local and other dishes. The drinks are very nice, hit and cold. The rooms are nice for a more than a reasonable price compared to other hotels. Price for room includes a breakfast that is quite satisfying.
A lively place preferred by many foreigners visiting Iringa. Prices for food and drinks are, however, a bit higher.
Amazing story, creative art
Lovely people full of smiles on their faces . I bough a bag here today and I loved it . Wonderful
Beautiful place, central location with very nice staff.
Cool place
This is one of my favorite places in Tanzania. Its just a great experience all around, and lacks many of the drawbacks of other Tanzanian places. For one, this place is run by disabled people and theyre all so kind! They are always helpful in the restaurant and they remember you.Speaking of the restaurant, the food is phenomenal! I had their burger, sambusas, a smoothie, and their great breakfast (included with a room). The food is unbelievably fresh, like fresher than most anything Ive had in the US. The bun on the burger tasted like it just came out of the oven. The cinnamon bun the next day was also warm and fresh from the oven. Traveling around Tanzania further, I often looked back and wished I could find another place with such good and fresh food. The hotel rooms are basic, but clean and everything works. We didnt have any problems, hot water worked well and they even had a little flat screen TV.They only downside was that the whole building acted as a wind tunnel all night which was VERY loud at times. However Ive since learned that if thats your only problem in a Tanzanian hotel, youre doing great! There was also their famous craft store downstairs with many nice things and they even offer free tours of the area where they make it. It was awesome to see how they employ disabled people and give them work in an area where work in general is hard to find.
Its very cool
The place offers assorted services
Restaurant and craft shop at Iringa region
Nice place
Great place, employing local people with disabilities.Downstairs is shop with lovely crafts, cloths and furniture. Upstairs is a Cafe where waiting staff is deaf - you have to write down your order for them. Its one of the best organised non-for-profits in Tanzania, all profits go towards building special needs houses for the staff.Food is very tasty and well priced, although menu is fairly limited. It has some vegetarian and vegan options though (particularly suahili food).
