I’m extremely proud to be associated with this organization. In fact the CEO Philbert Kato and I gave birth to this organization way back in 2007 when I was in Tanzania on a Social Anthropology field school. The first attempt that my dear friend Mr. Kato embarked upon was one that I did not entirely support as it was based on programs that had far too much competition in an extremely difficult market to gain a small portion of. And a couple years passed with the organization having very little support. Then Philbert and I began to discuss initiatives that were much more closely related to the ideas I had put forward during my time in Tanzania whereby we had to create a niche that was very focused and specialized so as to set us apart from the big players like World Vision and UNICEF a well as far too many smaller organizations that all seemed to be doing the same kind of work, none of which were overly successful.Many years later Mr Kato and I were able to see past some of our initial differences and CEDC was given life.Please consult our website that you can find by searching CEDC CHILD FOCUS TANZANIA
