I had the pleasure of booking a day trip to Mikumi National Park with Optimum. I went with two other travelers and we did our research prior to making arrangements with Optimum. We wanted a cost effective day trip that would both save us money and allow us to see lots of wildlife. We settled on Mikumi because it had all the major Safari animals (minus Rhinos and Cheetahs) and was within driving distance from Dar es Salaam. We went into Optimum with prices in mind, and they were very competitive in their pricing. I was honestly surprised that a business in such a prime location can offer such fair prices on their safaris.Once it came time for our trip, our guide Paul had every detail planned. He arranged to pick us up, he drove us to the National Park, he bought snacks for us to eat throughout the day, he arranged the safari and driver. The only thing we needed to bring was a camera and bug spray. Paul stayed with us the entire trip so we always felt safe, and he provided great company and entertainment throughout the trip. Our safari driver/tour guide Charles was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining as well.During our trip to Mikumi, we saw many animals: lions, antelope, zebras, elephants, buffalo, hippos, giraffes, many types of birds, etc. It was an incredible experience, and Optimum Travel is responsible for its success. I would highly recommend booking with Optimum (and asking for Paul).

I used service to Tanzania safari in 2017. It was one of the best and memorable trip in my life. Staff and tour manager were very kind and helpful. They made the trip worth what we paid and on the top of that, we felt safe, warm and had great time like we were going with close friend who are highly experienced and knowledgable about safari.
