Ohh might Uber! An International company with such reputation as a world class blue chip organisation but unfortunately couldnt sort out the queuing issues with its drivers during this time of pandemic with covid-19! You see drivers queuing out-side the office and on the corridor. They make a lot of noise as well whilst awaiting to be served, which I dont think it serves the might Uber any good! They need to sort out the issue asap to maintain their status quo really!

Dear Uber Tanzania,Maybe it will be a good idea to make a video for the Uber drivers have to work with the app. Because 80% of the drivers are asking where you are en where to go and than after 5 minutes talking they start driving to pick you up or they cancel...... but why??? Everything you need to know you see in the app they really don’t understand how it works. At the end everybody is faster and happy!

Worst company ever!!!!!!!! I wish there was a negative rating rather than minimum of one (1) star.First of all, Ive been hunting for a customer service number zero success, not in your app, not in your website, you actually remove the page from your website that gets to contact page. How ridiculous is that!!!My main issue is you charge me money for the routes I did not make. when requesting for your service your drivers are quickly to accept then they call to ask for the route, mostly after telling the route they say theyre far from where I am( or they find any other excuse) and ask me to cancel the route. I know if I cancel the route then Ill be charged cancelation fee, so even if I ask them to cancel the route they dont and after me making my decision to find alternative solution other drivers keep calling me asking me for the same route with lots of excuses and in the end you keep charge me for the cancellation fee for the route I did not took even though you gave me a hell of poor management.I cannot recommend anyone for your service and Ill keep making noise until you put a communication with your clients.

Dear UBER Tanzania,Please go through your records (complaints) as your drivers are getting out of control.We are constantly being asked where we are heading... if it is not where the driver wants they cancel the ride...Also, if it shows that I am paying by card they say that they cannot take me...Could you please sort this out. I used to have a really enjoyable rides with UBER and now they are getting more and more stressful...Please.Many thanks.

Packing are available at floor number 3 and 4, 5. The building is at city center. It is friendly for disable people. The infrustructures are working normally for all floors from ground to the last floor, elevetor is ok.

Good offices, centrally located. I personally dont like Uber. I prefer Bolt. They seem to be more customer focused, flexible, friendlier and understand client needs in Tanzania. Uber dont even provide a contact telephone number to their offices.

Had a lot of difficulty with their customer service -- they had blocked my credit card from working on the app, and it was impossible to unblock. I even completely deleted my account to reset, but still my card wouldnt work after recreating an account over a month later. They had me speak to my bank multiple times, though they later claimed that the block had come from their end. There isnt a customer service number to talk with anyone directly, so maybe going into the store if you have any problems would be the best option, though their hours are not very convenient. Some of their surge pricing in some areas in Dar were more expensive than hailing a taxi. I have since stopped using Uber in Tanzania, unless desperately needing a ride.

Generally Uber service is excellent and safe.However you need to get your drivers to learn more about street maps and location because majority of drivers I have driven with had issues to get to the destination and the Google voice direction they use is pathetic because its not accurate and it misleads them a lot!!! I have to tell them all the time that the woman voice directing them is incorrect.I usually guide the driver through out my ride

One of the uber driver is a fraud, he added a longer route some how and charged me 23000 instead of 6,000. When i came to check the map it showed me routes which i never passed. Somw how tjese drivers now know how to cheat with the app and charge you more than usual. Guys be careful otherwise youll end up over paying and no response from customer service as well

Uber works ok in Dar but there are problems with drivers not using the maps and asking for verbal directions. Drivers also dont like card payments so a key advantage of the app (not having to carry cash) is lost. If using card, drivers often accept trips and then dont move anywhere until the customer cancels, which wastes customer time and then means you have to dispute the cancellation fee as well. It would be good if Uber could incorporate an option for the drivers to see payment method before accepting the trip so that they dont have to use this roundabout and frustrating way to avoid card payments. Drivers are generally nice, prices are good and the option for bajaj or bodaboda is a nice addition for the Tanzanian context. Ive had a few annoying experiences (e.g. driving dropping me at a petrol station to get another Uber mid trip) but generally Uber is alright.

Almost a year back an uber driver dint turn up to pick me it was at 2.00 past midnight and instead crosed over the street to the next one cancelled my trip reasons known by himslef and got lost. Now the cast has been credited into my account i am willing to pay but the app doesnt allow me to schedule a trip and pay to the next driver as how it says. Kindly help me am a distressed customer.

I cant request for a ride. Ive done everything, including calling uber offices to look into my accounts problem, but even they seem not to knw what to do, I dont have an outstanding payment either. I even tried to delete my account, but guess what? I cant do that either since uber wont let me, claiming my account has issues.. Thats the reason Im closing it! It was really great at the beginning, but now , I just want it off.

I dont know where to start! Ubers constantly cancelling, the bad attitudes and rudeness, the unprofessionalism, or the drivers simply not being helpful with simple things like luggage and oh yeah generally most of the drivers just lacking basic manners and kindness. The other day my uber driver turned up in a car with no seat belts, the day after, the driver accepted my trip and then turns up and tells me he has no petrol to drive and so demanded that I pay him cash. I explained that I cant change the payment to cash he then tried to bribe me and told me he would cancel the job and I pay him in cash in which he doubled the fair lol. And right now as I am currently sat in my uber the driver has his mobile in his right hand whilst watching a film and is driving with just left hand! Uber in Tanzania is a joke! And with all the erratical driving already in Tanzania you would expect Uber as an established company to put the health and safety of their customers first!

Hello I was very disappointed with my Sunday afternoon trip. Trip shows chargers is 4500 to 5000 but when we end the trip the charges shows 8000 and I saw you charge me for entry fee for bus terminal while I take uber at ubungo plaza. I want to know why I payed more while first time the charges was 5000

Can you please upgrade your service, everytime I want to. Make a stop. Somewhere, even though I am charged for the waiting, yoir drivers either complain or ask for more. Money... Plus drivers that are way too far shouldnt be allowed to take the call..

Am not having good experience with uberThey can display a different fair on the customer app and the other fair which is way too much on driver app.You need to have customer service for this it is too inconvinient. What if the customer doesnot have that fair only has the one which was displayed on their app and there is no way he can get cleared immidietely instead has to file a report separately after giving the driver the whole amount.It is so not fair you need to imrpove.

Hi, I would like to advise you to incorporate trucks as well such as Suzuki carry as I believe there are a lot of business men and women out there who use/need trucks for carrying their purchase in the markets such as Kariakoo. I think it will be an opportunity for truck owners as well to profit from Uber much as Uber profits from them.Thank you.

Very poor service. I have twice requested an uber cab and after waiting twice as long as the estimated waiting time, I attempted to cancel and use an alternative means of transport. Each time I have received a message from uber telling me I will be charged am additional TSh3000 the next time I use the service. This is disgustingly poor. If you cant provide a service in the time you have indicated, why should the customer have to pay a penalty for seeking alternative transport. Avoid if you have other options.

Hii let me answer this to you, Am a good Uber driver in town and I face a lot and let me explain this to you customers, now we have driver insufficient thats u can see a service is not running smooth in some places of the city bt this doesnt mean that a service is bad. Uber is trying all its legal best to make sure you riders be happy, if today we could let drivers comments here u will surprise how drivers are still working with Uber platform BT u riders to have a single disturbance from little ignorant drivers u are panicking. BT even us driver we face a lot of problem from u riders BT we stay quite, Be patient when a service starts, everything when start has its errors so come down, now Uber operates on more than 540 cities and more than a billion riders are celebrating having a cheap fair tax service, shame on you a rider who complaint about this while a tym come u go for regular taxi n the price is twise as the Uber charges

In this regards, I cant call an uber now as I am told until I have paid the outstanding. I have written my complaint on my app and I am surprised I have not been responded to. Terrible experience with uber Tanzania drivers accepting your trip request then calling you to ask for extra cash outside of the uber amount and if you dont agree they dont come and you have to cancel the trip at your own cost. Worst experience.

Terrible Experience , i requested for uber waited for the driver it was taking forever i tried to call the driver his phone was switched off so i decided to cancel the request and then request another one but then i got a message that i will be charged for this trip which is clearly not right since i am not at fault and then i tried to contact uber dar es salaam but there does not seem anyway to contact them , uber should consider why the clients cancel the request its not always our fault

Dar needs Uber. The book rate at the taxi stand for a 10km drive to our hotel on the main strip was $35, Uber is $5. In a country with $2-$4 per day labor its pure extortion by a well organized taxi brotherhood. To be fair prices shouldnt be great as the existing taxi system seems to have zero efficiency due to a lack of dispatch so they all just huddle up at the airport. The hotels are in on the price gouging game as well as half the economy is bribes and kickbacks. All this being said we tried to get an Uber from our hotel but as 7 minutes stretched into 20 with 9 minutes estimated remaining we had to give up. We tried getting an uber at the airport as well and it made a great bargaining chip with a visibly angry local who swore no uber would make it into the airport, or out...if he tried. Hopefully enough people succeed with uber that it grows and creates at least a slice of transparency in an otherwise rigged game.
