We Visited in the Backyard restaurant for my niece birthday dinner. We stayed outside and enjoy the fresh air😊.The workers there have just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. And made certain that we had everything we needed.The food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. We loved those mwendokasi chickens and pizzas they were so delicious 😋 my niece enjoyed it and was so happy on her dayI can’t wait to taste their food again😋🤤We highly recommend it.

A nice quite place for eating. We went for lunch the service was quick, staff are friendly. Food choice a bit different from other place. There is an outdoor seating, with lots of trees providing shade. Was nice cool area. The front area is decorated with old windows and doors brightly painted.

The burgers are amazing! Hunger at 2am n u r sorted! And they also provide delivery we really need such places in dar. The food reached on time, it was tasty, delivery offered at 2am. Bonus point it came hot!

This place is one of the most amazing places to be and visit. It is cool and warm place. As the name suggests, it is a real backyard. Having three sections.... juice bar, B53 and the banda, makes the place one of the place worth your time to visit and enjoy cool music. Above all, the food is worth and total value for your money. The burgers are exactly the same... the best burgers in town. Pizzas are very different from all places youve had in any restaurant you have visited. They have the best pizzas with excellent toppings and the dressing is just perfect and yummy. Mwendokasi chicken is to die for plus they have wild chicken (same as the wild wings but this is whole spring chicken with the same recipes of wild wings). Their mocktails are so good and my favorite is strawberry heaven.The service is amazing and on point, something which you can miss from all other restaurants in Tanzania. The owners have wonderful approach to all customers something which has been imbued to their stuff. Heard alot about burgers from Burger 53 and other food options at this place. We ordered bongella burger, sliders, pizza, 1 soda and 2 juices.Food was overall very good and taste was good to. But the service levels were very low as we had to remind about our items again and again because items were served randomly. Soft drinks had to be reminded 3 times and they were still served after our burger was finished.Will I come back to this place? NO

Fun setup for people of all ages, with a food-court meets backyard style arrangement.Theres a burger joint, a pizza and BBQ spot, and a juice bar for food/drinks.Lots of games available including mini-golf, hopscotch and a mini-basketball area as well as a play and learn area for the younger children.The food and drinks are brilliant - the Changamoto Chicken pizza being my personal favourite. Also recommend the nachos and periperi fries as starters.

Boys night out in the laid back, kids friendly and safest environment of the Dar Es Salaam Market backyard just off VIVA & HUHURU Heights towers. The Owner was very welcoming and knows good customer service which you dont get to experience very often in Tanzania. The pizza was my most fav followed by the chicken. Its has a nice outdoor ambience and an area for kids to play.

Everyone kept reviewing the burgers are to die for. I thought to myself they must be exaggerating but what a suprise to myself... very tasty burger...Service was quick and good, they were all wearing masks and sanitizers on every table.

I love the unique design of the place, the carefully thought out details in everything from sitting arrangements to flowers to furniture and internal decor- if really makes for quite a relaxing atmosphere. But the best part is the food of course which is finger-licking good, the juice bar options are a must have!

Always loved the burgers at BURGER 53 and now this new location and new menu of Pizza 🍕Honestly I loved the Changamoto pizza from your menu. Flavours bursting in your from the first bite. Absolutely amazing. I couldnt recommend this place enough for a number of reasons!! Our first time trying the food here it was lovely but it was delivered and had gotten cold, even though this is a regular occurrence when getting a delivery they offered to pay for a meal for us in their restraunt. This shows that the management here is very caring and attentive to their customers and most of all generous. They are very proud of their reputation and they should be as many places do not go to this extent to care for their customers. When we ate at the restraunt in person we were blown away! The food served fresh at this restraunt was divine. The atmosphere is beautiful. The staff are attentive and the chef/chefs are most talented. I would highly recommend eating from here. We will certainly be back more often when we are in Dar es salaam. One of the best places to eat in the city.The manager Fabian looked after us and is super at what he does!Red juice in photo- indian almond fruit juice (AMAZING!)

The experience was that of the backyard youd love at your very home. Loved the food too, super friendly staff!!

Food was not up to my expectations. Had ordered mwendokasi and twiga pizza for dinner. The chicken was very much frozen. Portion was good but fresher chicken would have given a better taste. The pizza had too much spring onions, the egg plant made its taste quite awkward. Overall I have had better food from The Backyard. The taste has dropped down quite significantly. Hopefully the owners will look in to this and make some improvements in the quality of food.

This was our Third visit to the backyard and I must commend them for their consistency both in their meals and service. Today we decided to call and place our order before arrival, to save some time. The attendant on the phone was quick and efficient. Once we arrived our order didn’t take too long, was served as per our requests and our server was simply a delight. She constantly checked up on us to see if everything was alright and especially helped with my two young daughters. We received a side of breadsticks and their absolutely amazing karak chai that they recently launched at the Banda Café.We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were pleasantly surprised at the sight of our 3kids having the time of their life at the simple play area. They even had a lady at the play area to watch over the younger kids while parents enjoy their mocktails from the juice bar.I couldn’t recommend backyard more! Bravo to the entire team for being one of the few family oriented restaurants that have managed to maintain consistency and provide amazing customer service!

Settled for a burger on my stop here... was not wowed but it was pretty good. One of the staff incredibly went above and beyond to help me book a ride back as I didnt have a TZ data plan set up and they didnt have guest Wi-Fi access. I didnt catch her name 🤦🏿‍♀️ but very grateful!

The Backyard is literally a backyard. But it is vibrant, stylish and youthful. There are mini games for people to play, varied seating arrangements, colorful and vibrant decor all makes you feel at ease and away from just another restaurant feeling. Well decorated and good service, it maintains the standards set at DFM Burger53. The food also has a playful and new touches. Loved the swanky menu names. Wishing you guys the best!

Hot chocolate was not hot. Waiters do not have food knowledge of their menu. Americano cold was not good at all. But waiter had curtecy to ask and offer to remove from the bill. However was taking too late to adjust a bill.

I am all about healthy food and this place is not about it. There are mostly wheat and dough based foods, there are no salads or anything like that in the menu - burgers and pizzas are told to be awesome, but theyre not healthy still. Even nachos (which seemed to be some very few foods closer to healthy line) are made of wheat instead of corn - I saw such thing first time in my life. Chicken wings were okay. No beer or wifi either, although after we expressed our wish to do our work there, the personnel was kind enough to allow us to use their own private wifi network. Kudos for that.

Ordered mwendokasi chicken. Dissapointed with the soft tobo crisps. Chikcne was tender though.We also orderd salted fries but they were so little that we had to buy periperi fries which were far more in proportion.The view is amazing though.Staff are well trained. The place is tidy and the garden is beautifully maintained.Plus, their bell button service is splendid and works effortlessly.

A nice setup from the ordinary. There is limited parking which can be a bit inconvenient. A narrow pathway opens up to a nice open space where they have the juice bar, burger joint, pizza Banda and play area for the kids. There is sitting available on tables with chair or sitting on haystacks/crates with low tables. The menu is limited but has fancy fun names and the management is coming up with fun new ideas. Service speed could he improved but food is great. Not a fan of their pizza. I wouldnt call this place wheelchair accessible due to its setup and pavement path

Amazing place. Ive been there a few times already. Very friendly staff and owners. Their burgers and pizzas are to die for.Definitely worth going there. They also have a childrens play area with some small games on the side e.g a golf hole.

They only serve the food that theyre very proud of. The menu feels limited but each dish has evolved to perfection. Do Not miss out on their burgers

I know you think you have had good pizza before...but if you have not eaten Pizza from these guys..you have never had good pizza. My favrite is Changamoto. 👌🔥🔥🔥🔥. Professional service and you can even order online with delivery within 7km. They have burgers from B53 and wings too.

Never have i experienced more incompetence in door to door services. Everything went AWOL when it came to customs and clearing. First there was the astronomical tax bill which was partially not their fault and rather the person that declared it (whom ofcourse they didnt explain things to so couldnt have given accurate information). Luckily an amazing customer service manager rescued us and we were gratefully assisted in rectifying. But then we were left again to deal with customs and clearing people. It took 2 weeks to sort our package AFTER we paid customs, by then we had to abandon the plan to get it delivered and just picked it up. My advice is, if you have to use DHL, NEVER let them clear it out for you. Ask if you can use your own clearing agent! Would save u lots of grief. Also, clearing their receptionists and customer service agents are well trained as they are excellent in their jobs while their customs and clearing agents are the worse in the business.
