‘Organic produce from the sweet soils of Tanzania’ couldnt be more fitting for this Masaki gem. Kind Earth offers an array of thoughtful, well-presented dishes and is located on the same grounds as Kingston 8, offering Jamaican-inspired cuisine along with non-veggie options. They share an inviting outdoor seating area as well as offer an indoor dining experience. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner of Kind Earth, Velisa, who’s vision and culinary creations were impressive. Next stop on our list is their sister restaurant, Velisa’s, located near Kawe Beach!

Beautiful place, beautiful food with so many vegan options it was hard to even decide what to have for dinner. Nice atmosphere as well and the musician was really talented. The waiters were kind and attentive. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Truly amazing vegan food (with a separate meat menu as well.) The portions are huge. The quality of the produce and dishes is the best I’ve had in all of Tanzania. Everything is fresh, well-cleaned and well-prepared. The vegetable balls were my favorite, as were te vegan crab cakes. But I was happy that big side salads were served free of charge with everything

Wow! What an amazing discovery! I wish I found this place earlier. It has the best vegan menu I’ve seen in Tanzania so far. A great selection of wines too. Please try the veggie balls, they are delicious! The place itself is beautiful too, so classy. Very worth the price! The portions are huge and the staff is the kindest. Great service. I was so happy to see they use metal straws!

Wonderful experience, the menu is a vegan/vegetarian TREAT and we had some live music to warm the heart. The atmosphere was like hiding in a secret, dim-lit garden.

Quite versatile, with lots of tasty vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc options. We had a delicious non-dairy desert too! There is another menu if you prefer meat, so its a great place to go with friends with different dietary needs. Very relaxing environment, we were serenaded by a young man with an acoustic guitar. Service is also brilliant, wait staff were helpful and knowledgeable of menu items. Strongly recommended.

Had lunch at Tossed- the lunch salad restaurant within Kind Earth today, and it was delicious! Definitely the best salad Ive had in Dar. Lunchtime is hot, so not possible to eat in their pretty garden, but my friend and I were happy in the smaller inside area.

I only had one dish: lentils w/veggies and pumpkin. the veggies were tasty and well seasoned; the pumpkin was very stringy and difficult to eat; the lentils were not palatable and even looked bad.

This is by far the best food I’ve eaten in Dar, which is saying a lot because I eat out a lot and I like to try new places often. Quality and taste of the food was delicious and perfect. The setting was beautiful. The servers were so professional and kind. This was definitely the best food I’ve tried in Dar but it was also hands down the most expensive menu I’ve seen too (average of 30,000tsh per main course) but you definitely get what you pay for, it was worth every shilling! Highly recommend.

The food was okey nothing creatively special. The inside dining area is too small and when you have uncivilized loud people it can be hard to hear each other even if you sitting at nose distance. The juices are okey but if you want to drink wine I strongly suggest not to. It is terrible.

Lots of vegan options. Nice Place. Cheerful and calm atmosphere. The Mock Steak(home-made seitan) with broccoli is very good. Also the juice and Passion cheeze cake is very good.

A fantastic new dinning experience for Dar es Salaam. A great menu range especially for vegetarian and gluten free dinners. Carivores are well catered for by the authentic Jamaican menu. We enjoyed delicious fusion vegetarian dishes which I have never come across before, accompanied by a mean mojito. We are in a garden under a new Moon while a gentle tropical breeze rustled palm fronds of a coconut tree, a local guitarist played Swahili songs in the background. Will return.
