How terrible sales and customer service cost ESBC the deal...Happened ESBC Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania last week:We came in as a prospect for a set up across three different counties. The first meeting started nicely but completely unprofessional behaviour from the sales staff cost ESBC the deal:After our initial talk I had to take a quick call and asked if I could quickly use a silent room to take the call... any room would have been okay... the sales representative said she would have to charge me USD 29 for using one of the many anyways free rooms. I joked and reminded her that I am a potential client. She double checked with her superior and came back with the outcome that I would have to pay. As I had to take this call, I agreed with an irritated feeling. I used the room for 30 min and paid USD 29.Afterwards we were chatting with another business contact who has his office also in ESBC Dar. The sales representative came back saying that she has no change to pay me back and asked me for a solution. (I paid with a USD 50 dollar note for the USD 29 charge)... she couldnt pay back the change neither with dollars or Tanzanian shilling. Instead of letting it go like this we went into an awkward discussion how to get the change... the Sales Representative even suggested that we go to a bank together... that I call valuing customers time...Our business contact and we were already making fun of the situation and I had decided to not give the order to an organisation with such an unskilled sales force and obviously terrible customer service...... having said so I really liked the design of the office...... but now we go with the competitor who has better prices and most importantly a supportive sales and service team.

Excellent Customer care, good working and networking environment. I will recommend any start up businesses to open up an office and get the best supporting and understanding team.
