My family and I wanted to watch the newest Spider-Man movie. We checked the website and it was to play at 4:00. We arrived at 3:50 to buy tickets. The lady at the counter told us they might not play it and to get back to her in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later she said they are playing it and to wait for 20 more minutes so they could clean the theater. Note it was super hot and the popcorn tasted like rubber. After 40 minutes of waiting in the heat with my children asking how much more time, I got up and asked the lady. She rudely said that they were not playing it was there projected was broken. Now I understand they had technical difficulties for this movie but they could have addressed it i us or put it on there website as we wasted are time there. Not worth the trip hopefully Aura is better tommorow.

Picture quality was ok. Overall ambiance of the place isnt as vibrant as it used to be.

Decent mall, has way too many vendors and can sometimes feel clustered, movie theatre is good but a lack of variety in the concession stand. The movie projectors can sometimes feel blurry and uncentered but not very often.

Love this cinema with three spaces and big screen. Also located by the road making it easily accessible.Its just the parking can get a bit chaotic sometimes

Good to have a cinema in Dar but the image quality is poor and the AC is sooo cold, like 10°C. People come there with jackets for the inside...

Its a nice place ..calm and more suitable if you are sure of private transport because public transport (daladala) is not available late nights

I rated it so because I like the theatre rooms, they are spacious and comfortable, the temperature in there isnt too cold or too hot. Plus they got couple seats😉. I prefer Century Cinemax over at DFM more than at Mlimani City.

Sometimes people bring their toddlers or babies to the movies who will not stay still or cry or make noise....it get rather annoying. Other than that the overall experience is great. Oh and they should bring back the caramel popcorn...

Its within the dar free market building, easy to reach place. the cinema is nice and clean, it has variety of snacks you can eat while waiting for a movie and the ones you can eat while watching a movie... you can book and buy tickets online.

One of the best Movie theaters in town. You can call and book your ticket in advance, be sure to arrive half an hour before movie starts to grab your ticket. The options for snacks is also good boasting pop corn, ice cream and Indian cuisine!! Parking is available too but be sure to come by early for hot movie debut

Theatre is good, quality sound and picture.but the seats are very dirty, I hope professional cleaning can be done soon.

It is a very good place to watch movies in dar es salaam

Most of the showing movies are interesting and well picked. Though sometimes the 3D movies are not as clear as expected.. maybe it is the screen or the 3D glasses. The toilets are not always clean and sometimes there is no soap or water! However, it is an accessible movie theatre for Kinondoni residents.

Always the best movie theatre to catch up with friends and family or co workers. Its location is the best too since its right at the centre of every potential location to hang out or do business or meetings. Great condiments as well

Great place to watch movies!

Good movies (latest Hollywood releases) and comfortable seats /large screens. Slightly less crowded than the theater at mlimani city. However, they dont always update the online showtimes to reflect actual screenings.... Its an easy fix, so hope theyll work on it soon

Nice Cinema. Cozy seats. Great sound their big problems is one thing and other cinemas when it start post credits the lights are on and cleaners are start coming in to collect empty popcorn papers and bottles this is so annoying for others we like to to watch until the end of post credits like Marvel Movies & DC movies. I suggest they should adjust time so you can watch all full movie including post credits in details in full.

Great cinema! Very large cinema hall for the most recent/popular movies and 3 others of varying capacity.All the basic stuff is available, snacks, drinks etc.You can pay by cash or credit card 👍

Everything was good except their toilets. Someone needs to clean the toilets and at least have running water there. Thats a hygiene disaster. We could not use them since they were all filthy and the smell was really terrible!

Best going there on Mondays and Thursday since the tickets are half the price. Downfall, you should expect tonnes of people especially around peaky hours (7-10). Every friday new movie arrives.

Cinema is nice with ample parking. Being on main road it is easily accessible. 3D quality is average and would prefer 2D. With two counters for pop corns and drinks it is relatively quick to grab snack on short notice. I have never tried but wash room cleanliness varies and usually found to be moderately clean. Tickets on thursdays are usually half price (tzs5000) but for some reason if its a public holiday dull price is charged. Previously on wednesday a free soda comes with the ticket but not sure if they still continue with this (been few months i last went on wednesday). Afternoon and working day shows are less crowded and at time can find only few people in the hall. Staff is nice and supportive.

Had a lovely time with my siblings here. Howevr at some point they switched off the a.c which we felt wasnt fair. Also, Id recommend, them to have a way of announcing the commencement of movie, 5 mins prior.

We dont have big movie theaters in Zanzibar, so when were in Dar, we come here to get our fill of Hollywood Blockbuster films. Comfortable seats, good eats in the area. And you can go shopping too!If you have 3D glasses and will watch a 3d movie, dont forget to bring them with you.

Went to screen 4 I believe, for the viewing of Despicable Me 3. The seats were very spacious and luxurious but the sitting was awkward, woe to u if someone tall sat in front of u. It was cozy and not cold (thank God!)

Good location, crappy building.. horror parking, and no matter what..DO NOT LOOK UNDER THE SEAT OR AT THE FLOOR in the theatre. Otherwise, decent quality cinema experience. Poor food and drinks selection.. best sneak in your own goodies for better experience until the management someday REALIZE how bad it is.

In dar century cinemax dominate movie show industry. Its located near Kenya commission. They have 5 theatres. Every new movie which is in international standard. They are good in bring latest movie premier. Its a good place for family outing. PG rating are advised.

Great screening as well as customer care, offering a variety of available up to date blockbuster movies. One thing to improve maybe the air-conditioning is too cold sometimes

They offer the latest movies for all ages and they also have food stalls with varieties of drinks, candies and of course one cannot watch a movie without popcorn, they even have caramel popcorn for those with a sweet tooth like me 😁. They have a waiting area and the staff are willing to assist should you get lost or dont know which room is your movie showing.

This is one of the best cinemas Dar es Salaam has to offer. Its conveniently located especially if you are trying to catch a move after work and/or around rush hour. Has adequate parking.

An expansion to show Century Cinemax grip on the local market. A monopoly but still very competitive and aggressive. The cinema is pretty standard with 2D and 3D options, supported with great surround sound and spacious seating. The location of the cinema in Oysterbay gives it access to the Msasani Peninsula catchment and Upanga, both of which are high end markets.Expect a mixed crowd here. Only negative is the insufficient parking at Dar Free Market, which hosts the cinema.

It’s my go to cinema 🎞 I can’t think of any location that’s better than dfm. I like how it’s not overpacked most of the times and the seats are a lot more comfortable than other cinemas.

A well located shopping mall, not doing very well but a variaty of things can be found. The chairs in the cinema are filthy i couldint imagine sitting on them had to put my jacket first. Otherwise ok.

2nd best movie theater in Dar. Recommended especially if you dont like huge crowds. On weekdays its almost always never full.
