The building is nice, but the service depends on the person cleaning the room, also TV has 3channel but sometimes theyre 5😄. Food from the restaurant sometimes can be okay, cold or burned depends on how lucky you are. I advise to improve the service overall. Thank you

I dont know about the hotel but I can definitely talk about their gym. For almost $150 a month its one of the most expensive gyms in Dar, yet the quality of the machines and variety is totally horrible, all their bars are not Olympic standard bars, very low quality machines, cramped space if there is like just 10 people on the weight room, its already crowded. The staff are nice and thats about it!

Quite okay to stay. But not the best as the rooms have enough deficiencies time to time ( AC problem, Door keycard problem etc.)

My family and I stayed at colosseum for two nights earlier this week. The hotel is pretty decent. The service was good too. We enjoyed their buffet breakfast thoroughly, they had a good variety of sweets and savouries to choose from. They also served fresh fruit daily.The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were well kept and clean.What I wasnt impressed with (and Im aware this is very petty) is their bathroom floor plan, where by their sink is right behind the door. For a couple sharing, it can be quite inconveniencing, doing your makeup or blow drying your hair while your spouse needs to get in and out.Another thing, is their sink design, its flat bottomed which makes it kinda unpleasant when the dirt in the sink keeps floating and you have to direct it to the drain using water because it doesnt have a natural slope 🤦‍♀️And the third thing was how low their switches were located. Being there with children meant we were constantly singing the dont play with the switches song because they were so easily accessible to them.Otherwise honestly, as a solo traveller or a couple its a decent hotel. They have a nice pool for both adults and kids. And a gym and spa facility too.Thank you Colosseum for hosting us

I love this place. Very decent , energetic as always u will see fitness crazy people moving around as this fitness club is one of the best of Tanzania . It is equipped with modern facilities of Gym, sauna , swimming pool, squash rooms , good instructors . I love this place. Colosseum Hotel itself is a good of luxuries standards , . Good place to visit .. one of my favorite in dar .....

Arrived very early in the day and they gave us our room at 10am. Great staff, particularily the front desk and housekeeping. All staff very pleasant and seemed genuinely happy. Decent food from the menu, included buffet breakfast was a little weak, but tasty. Complete and busy gym on property, pool was warm and clean. Room was spacious and spotless. Wifi could be more consistent. Would come back without hesitation. Great value.

Best gym in town with a large pool. Although, its expensive and several machines are not working. Changing room are bit rundown. Atmosphere good, perfect for meeting important people.

Best gym in Dar but in dire need of new towels. Reception staff can be a bit rude at times but the trainers are great. Theyre supper supportive and energetic. Classes can become too packed. They need more space or to limit participants.

Do not accept Room 106! Its located directly opposite to noisy aircon units from the adjacent gym. For a 4 star hotel, you get one, yes, just one towel in the bathroom. Was ankle deep in water in the shower cubicle within a minute thanks to poor drainage. While clean, the bed linen is way past its use by date. Verdict: You can get much better in Dar es Salaam at that price!

Its ok. Rooms are a tad out dated. The towels are a bit old. Well equipped gym, free to hotel guests. The restaurant is a News Cafe, so dont expect an amazing food experience.

Poor customer service and reservation team..A client books on booking.com and comes theb been given a room with 1 bed yet he mentioned he has 3 kids with a wife making it 5 people....

Nice gym with all facilities.

For the price I paid (150 USD) I was heavily disappointed. All surfaces are hard so there is a continuous noise going on. The rooms are spacious but not well appointed. Very limited choice of TV channels, a safe was missing. Since there are no curtains but shutters, the room cannot be made fully dark. Because of the hard surfaces everywhere, the tip-toeing of high heels can be heard on all floors. Bathrooms are reasonable, but shower was not kept clean and was therefore slippery.Finally, breakfast buffet is set up in the corridor opposite the lift.Not a nice place, I will not stay again.

Nice and clean hotel in dar-es-salaam. I really appreciate the fact that people are really welcoming and helpful. It gets an additional star from me for these reason. the rooms are clean and spacy. they just a bit noisy during the night. Since for me is not a problem I havent asked to change room but I was told I could have changed the room if anything was wrong.The restaurant cafe looks good. the dishes are really fulfilled maybe too much for me. I have left lots of food in the dish but maybe that is a good thing for really hungry people.The gym is cool and fully equipped theres a personal trainer that gives free classes to the hotel guests. There are different kind of courses exercise during the afternoon and evening. everyday is full of different activities and followed by a trainer.

Gorgeous place to visit with family and loved ones

95 USD a night, puts it on the expensive side. The staff is veery attentive and willing to help. Food is the greatest i have tasted. Sauna, welcome drink and swimming pool include in check-in.

It has been long since i was in such close proximity to outer heaven. jet lag has made the weary indifferent, and the commotion today was reason to enjoy was peace was available until that ran out of the lobby with my dignity. my english may have been disregarded, and the food was at least edible. The gym was closed and i ran out of the place with pride for my workout and development to be continued, on the go all the way back to mother base.

Rating the Gym: Very good equipment, nice swimming pool. The staff is very friendly. Sauna and steam bath are great and the environment is very clean. On the expensive side for daily and monthly packages but its probably the best gym in Masaki.

The location is not bad & its nice that Rhapsodys restaurant is just next to the lobby. But the stench in the room was not cool. Smelled mouldy & I suspect its due to the walls being lined with carpets that have over time become stale with the high humidity.

Stayed there for a long stay, it is a decent hotel and the staff are friendly. Facilities are basic and the gym is well equipped.

Colosseum Hotel and Fitness Club I would give the hotel a 1 however the staff at hotel who are incredibly friendly and helpful will give it a 2/5 . The hotel rooms are not well sound proof . You can hear everything happening in the passage . The owners of the hotel need to realise the overall maintenance of the rooms needs to be resolved . Beds are not the most comfortable. The sadest thing is there are no block out curtains so expect to be woken up at sunrise when the light comes through .

Service is so and so, food isnt the greatest, not many halal options, beds and room are alright. The gym.is definetly the reason to stay here. It is a proper gym.

A place to be...I recommend it

I recently traveled to Dar es Salaam for an extended work period. Due to unexpected extensions in my stay, I had to stay at three different hotels during my time there: Double Tree by Hilton, Colosseum Hotel, and Sea Cliff (in that order).There are pros and cons to this hotel, and I will cover the pros first. Colosseums location was very convenient, as it is located close to a lot of the businesses in the area, and the staff are very friendly. The daily breakfast buffet was great as well. Unlike the other hotels I stayed in, Colosseum offered takeaway items like breakfast snack bars, which was beneficial because I often had to rush to work in the morning. In terms of food options at the hotels restaurant, I found it to be a bit more expensive than other hotels. They also do not have a kids menu.As great as the customer service was, the facility just lacks needed amenities and quality for guests. The wireless internet did not work at all. The IT staff provided me with an ethernet cord to connect to the internet, but the connection was still slow and unreliable during my stay. Because I was in Dar es Salaam for business, this made it challenging to work in my room. The bathroom in my room smelled of sewage throughout the duration of my stay for some reason.While Colosseum Hotel is well-suited to appease to the budget-conscious traveler with a planned short stay in the area. For business travel or extended stays, I recommend trying a different hotel in the city for a more comfortable stay.

Daresaalam for me is Garden of Eden inside. The Eden is a pearl, The Colosseum hotel .I am a frequent visitor here an always get a fabulous service, good food excellent News cafe, good Ale carte menu Friendly staff and well managed.Well equipped fitness centre.

Top notch gym structure,the hotel scenery theme is ancient rome it has a good ambiance to it,outside there is News cafe best Chicken pizza and Bubble gum tea. yummy!!!!

Out dated equipment for extra high monthly membership fee, even drinking water is charged at almost double the the price of the shops. If you can do with smaller equipment many other options is around, if not you gona feel ripped off monthly.

Welcoming Staff with nice clean rooms, onsite very well organised Gym and squash courts, swimming pool and News Cafe restaurant with good quality food.

Good amenities and so many machines to workout on. The swimming pool is one of the cleanest in the city.
