The guest house is comfortable and the rooms spacious. Lit and airy, AC, towels, shower, safe, TV.. Cooked breakfast was very nice. Bar downstairs is one of the most popular in the area/city. And the staff is the jewel. Joel, Ibra, Grace!! Loved them all. Defo recommend!!

The place was fantastic and great location. The staff were incredibly helpful, even helping me sort out cash when I was unable to use my card. Highly recommend.

Its a great atmosphere indoors or outdoors. I love the upstairs patio. They have very well taken care of billiards and the chef and staff are lovely hospitable people. There are a variety of high bar drinks as well as local beers. I highly recommend a visit to Q-Bar

Q-bar is hilarious and we loved our stay! The backpacker room is tight but you get to meet some amazing people while saving money. Its got that real backpacking authenticity. LOLOtherwise the rooms seem nice! Its a great location with lots of food around and great bars (although we took a taxi literally everywhere). Oyster bay can be quite posh.

On a shoes string budget? Thisbis the place to stay given the area is surrounded by premium hotels. This property is well know for the bar. But their service level is amazing. You will get value for your money.

Friendly staff, well located, cost/benefit ratio ok, though infrastructure in Hotel needs a re-fit and better care! Table cloth must be clean, empty plant pots(though nicely decorated) give a run down impression. Water/shower equipment can be upgraded.Yes music from the bar below can be loud but stopped at 1am.(and we knew it)...

Staying in the Backpackers Room, the beds are made everyday and the air con is fully working. Only one light which is dim can make the room poorly lit at night.Breakfast is served 7-10am with a good selection of cereals, cooked meals (eggs/bacon/etc) and drinks.The bar below the rooms can be expensive regarding food and drinks.Around the corner is a shop where you can buy food, bottled water, any essentials.Across the road is a bank and ATM so you can withdraw cash safely.

It used to be a great place with lots of customers and whats a pub without people. Now its just me, a couple other sad looking people and the staff every weekend.. The place has potential however I think the owner isnt paying rent so he doesnt care... The food is still great though although less variety.. The pool tables are to die for and thats the really good thing thats still going on....

Room was pretty clean and the aircon worked. Prostitutes in the lobby area, not so great. Also, it is a bar, so the music is pretty loud until late, wasnt a problem for us as our room was on the other side of the building and we couldnt hear it.nThe room had a small shared bathroom which was clean at the beginning of the evening but not sure how long that would last in busier season judging by the reception area. The single bed was pretty comfortable although it had a napkin as a bed sheet that didnt cover the whole matters, so had to sleep on top of the covers. This was fine as it was warm in the beginning of the evening but as it got later I had to get under them as the aircon is set to 16 and cant be switched off or changed.

I like this place, though there are hastling girl can be sometime annoying... Terrace and Air-condition area available. Live band on Thursdays and a DJ on Saturdays. The bar is busy at night, the restaurant offers BBQ, Sea Food Platters, Steaks and Fajitas. Great place too hang around

I know this place for many years and have always been satisfied. These days however service, food, ambiance etc. have dropped down to lower levels. No more spirit, no warm hearted welcome etc.etc. Ive no clue what goes wrong but unfortunately I can hardly recommend that place any longer. Too bad indeed. Dar has lost a gem.

The girls here were awful. Way too many hookers. Stay away if u r a reputable man. Drinks were overpriced considering what they had to offer.

Nice sports bar on the Peninsula. Very festive when soccer matches are on and good crowd. Pool Table available. Cheap food but of decent quality.

Q-bar is a really lively place with excellent rooms and service. I stayed for two weeks Dec 2011 and loved it. If you hate noise, youll hate Q-bar, but the advantages outweigh this. Bands play downstairs 2 days a week and DJs may play another two, but generally everything cools down around 1am.Rooms are clean with A/C, clothes are washed for free and the excellent Angela prepares a good breakfast.As another reviewer noticed, there are a LOT of prostitutes working downstairs. Theres also a large number of screens showing soccer, mainly Premier League.Wireless internet is TSh 10,000 for 10 hours but not guaranteed to work always. The room on the 2nd floor is good for hanging out - the breeze is good, especially in the hot season.Recommended, but too pricy for a long stay.

It is place where people and old guy come to picks girls, it is very annoying if you went there for a drinks and music. This place has reputation that if you are looking for prostitute then it is the place to be in Dar
