Really quaint old fashioned greengrocer with great selection of fruit and vegetables including produce not available at other outlets. Good variety of deli type items and natural health and beauty products too. Bonus is awesome staff. A must visit.
Even within just a half years time, this place has gone downhill. Ive bought bread three times that is raw when I cut into it. Its a shame as the bread is actually so delicious- when cooked through. Ive also observed that if the cash register does not have the right change, they round in the stores favor and hand it to you without explanation. Normally its not a major difference, but itd be right to acknowledge it. The produce is priced higher than nearby stores, but they tend to carry decent quality.
4.5 StarsStaff are nice. Small shop. They do have some items that are not found in other markets. Prices are ok. They do have fresh breads, coffee made there if youd like a cup, and other refrigerator items from their restaurant in back.
The great thing about this place is you can come with your own bags fill them with an infinity of fruits and vegs and weight them at the cashier. No plastic bags needed! Also, you can bring your old egg containers and refill them instead of buying new eggs wrapped in plastic. They have a great variety of vegetables, including rubbarb that Ive only seen here so far. Theres also a small shelve with Tanzanian products such as artisanal soap, coconut oil, baobab and moringa powder and coffee. They accept credit card payments. Worth the visit.
