Office for all engineering registration queries varying from Graduate, Proffessional and Consulting personel. For local and international engineers working in Tanzania need to get permits to conduct their work inthis Country. For international engineers they are given temporary permits. For payments the cash office is in 2nd floor and other program officers are situated there like SEAP. Other staff are at 4th floor the last one here you will find mostly IT officers concerned with registration.

Poor organization of engineers information. The board if full of unprofessional employees who do not know their responsibilities save for the lady at the reception and few individuals

ERB, Engineers Registration Board, is the countrys only authorized board to give permission to both local and foreign engineers to practice engineering here in Tanzania. through the structured meetings of the board, all the applications are reviewed and published list of all the accepted applications is published through their website and all the categories from Graduate engineers, Professional engineers as well as consulting engineers qualifies are nominated and the letter are submitted to the stated postal addresses for further procedures and registration protocols. Its through engineers registration board that engineers take their oaths to practise engineering in a professional way by abiding to all engineering ethics as highlighted by the board. Currently, there is online system where all the applications can be made and the payments can be paid especially for those people who are away from Dar es salaam although it is not yet in application, you can visit registration.erb.go.tz to get registered and update all your informations there. having registered in the portal youll be able to see all your outstanding payments and ability to upload your information about your career moves as well as education background. Its better you go through their website to download all the relevant materials and instructions of the application youre intending to do as well as visit the office for consultation as you move down your preparation to avoid repeating the reports or any other requirement which youre preparing for submission to the board. Basically it is against the law to practice engineering in Tanzania without being officially registered by this board.
