Tanzanite Bridge in Dar escSalaam Tanzania is a newly completed infrastructure project that connects the CBD of Dar es Salaam with its neighbouring high end residential community with a good number of diplomatic residencies, international offices and government residences. The bridge is expected and it will reduce the normal heavy traffic along New Bagamoyo road through Selander bridge. It is among the most beautiful and well designed bridges in Africa and one among the remarkable infrastructure elements which was initiated by the late Present of the republic Dr. John P. Magufuli and successfully completed by his predecessor Her Excellence Samia S. Hassan end of January 2022. The bridge is due and ready for the opening on 1st February 2022. At a normal city driving speed, it takes between 2 - 3 minutes drive from one end to another end. The rush hour drive time will automatically be reduced to more than 50% of the normal traffic delay time. Drive or walk on the new bridge to enjoy the Indian Ocean and the new views of the CBD. Work must not Stop....

This bridge has definitely helped reduce traffic during the day, old salendar Bridge traffic is now flowing fast compared to before opening of the bridge where you had to stay in traffic for good 15_20 minutes, well done to the govt who initiated this project and made it happen

Its a longest Cable Bridge of Tanzania even East Africa.This bridge will definitely help to reduce the Traffic on Road.It will easily connect Masaki or Oyster Bay to Aga Khan Hospital.In town the bridge straight away takes you to Aga Khan Hospital at one end.Bridge also has pedestrian walk so people can easily walk and have Morning and Evening beautiful scenery of Sunrise and Sun set.

The bridge itself is nicely build. It has walkways for pedestrians on both sides.But it is not as busy as I expected. Very few cars and also very few pedestrians use it.
