Its an amazing place to be.Beautiful walkway to through the sea is amazing, you can give there and enjoy the evening.Many shops selling multiple items , a good restaurant coffee shops, ice cream parlour, children paid play area , bicycles for children available on rent.From here people can take boat for a ride to next island.Local artisans items are in sale here as well

The best shopping market for local artwork and crafts to sell and buy in Dar rd Salaam which is related to Tanzanian traditional. There are many things to offer in this incredible shopping places for both local and international tourists such as: Night club scuba diving and boat ride to Bongoyo Island.Slipway offer free WiFi for all the visitors. There was beautiful fireworks shows displayed in New Year of 2017.

Most amazing Place next to the water. Breathtaking views... Good food and kind people.

Definitely a place to visit if you are visiting Dar for the first time. A number of restaurants in the area with my favorite being Thai Kani, and waterfront. Highly recommend the burger option at waterfront. This is also a great place for sundowners as it overlooks the ocean where the sun sets.

While the Slipway may lack modernity, it makes up for any minor shortcomings by virtue of its outstandingly warm and accommodating staff let alone its location. Set on the Indian Ocean, the Slipway is an anchor to several solid restaurants, shops and artisan stalls. Lots of Love to all their wonderful employees. God bless :-)

Accomodation good. Friendly helpfull staff. Excellent piecefull restaurant at the beach.

Had a nice dinner on the beachfront and the waters edge this week. The seafood soup and the Cajun chicken salad are amazing. Also do not forget to have a Mt Kilimanjaro beer on tap 🍺 fantastic local beer. Great service and the atmosphere is amazing. Very quaint place to visit whether in a small party of 3 or more, you would not be sorry!

One of the best place in dar, to visit. Beautiful sea , open restaurants, great ambiance,etc. Its a spot where you can go with family, friends, business meets, even alone.

Slipway is a waterfront center with various shops and restaurants.During the day, the shops are open from the tourist stalls selling trinkets to the higher stores.There is also a couple of restaurants which are also opened in the evening.Parking is free. Entrance to slipway is also free and is nice to spend the evening without requiring to spend anything.

Stunning views across the bay. Apparently even better at sunset. Food was amazing. Service a bit slow - seemed to be one waiter for the whole restaurant who was doing his best. Smoking is allowed which is the reason for four stars as it was somewhat annoying. Just depends who is next to you.

The best part of Slipway is its views not the shops in the shopping center. Still, it has interesting crafts, a good restaurant at the edge of the water, and a pier with GREAT sunsets. Go for the sunsets and views!

A wonderful place to chill with friends and family. There are nice restaurants such as terrace lounge and even a nightclub. Perfect view of the sunset in the evening. Also shopping center for cultural and art like paintings etc. Also enough parking space

Nice shops and restaurants with great views of the water. Prices are high for shops and bargaining doesnt work very well here but always give it a try. Playground for kids as well so nice spot for everyone to have a little entertainment.
