What more is there to say about this place that hasnt already been said? Ill keep it short then. If you want to experience East African BBQ at its finest dont look any further than this place. Relaxed street setting, amazing food and all for a decent price. Cant get enough of this place.

We stayed in Dar Es Salaam for three days, and on our first night we accidentaly bumped in to this place. We had food there, and just kept coming there for the rest of our stay. The food was lovely, that service was ok, but just be careful ordering fresh juices, as they will put tap water in them without telling you, and if you are a foreigner, that will cost you a lot of time spent on the toilet. Avoid ice aswell, as it is also made from tap water.

Yummy food with outside eating. Loved the steak and Tikka over there. Must visit if you want delicious food.

*DELICIOUS CHICKEN*Had a half barbequed chicken (kuku choma) salad chips and naan bread. The service was bang on & the food was peng. I always stop here when i am around in town centre. Hey dont forget to ask for the specials before you place an order. Have a blinder 👍

I visit Tanzania usually for every 5 months once, I live near by this restaurant area, this is the best road side street food youll get with the best Quality and Quantity at the very best reasonable prices with a vast menu of all continental Foods, the waiters and the owners hospitality of talking to customers is really good. My daily dinner stop is Mamboz, The favourite is Chicken Shekela and Pili pili, Awesome taste, Im missing presently, hope to have the taste again soon.

Used to be my favourite go-to place for a night of BBQ. But somehow they have lowered their standards. I could have countless other options of better BBQ than Mambos. Make sure you apply insect repellent if going at night time.

The best ever BBQ joint in Dar es salaam.

Its pretty difficult finding hygienic and budget friendly food around the city. Mamboz is not the best yet but its much better than the majority out there. They provide dining options on the street and they even prepare fresh food everyday. Youll likely see many foreigners dining there.

No fresh juice and packed juice was just old. Service was very slow. We irdered chicken and lamb. Both tasted same way, badly. Prawns were ok. Vegetable salad was also dry. Not worth to be recommended place to eat.

Good food. No beer, which was disappointing. And youre sitting at plastic tables alongside the road. So youve got the traffic noise and the smell of Dar es Salaam to contend with. The food is good, but its not worth a long drive. Ten minutes at most out of your way.

The mishkaki was good but not the greatest or yummiest. Loved the chicken garlic and the Nundu.. Quantity is less, making it costly. But worth the try.They have a few tables in the restaurant building but the majority of the tables are on the footpath.. Which makes for an interesting experience of good food on the streets..

Food is very good but if you want to have it delivered they charge for the container which i had not experienced from other restaurants.

I loved this place! Tried noodles with shrimps: the portion was giant, very tasty and contained lots of shrimps. The service is very fast and personnel very friendly. Definitely must visit place when in Dar Es Salaam.

Incredible chain of BBQ restaurants!Definitely the best lemon chicken in Dar, and the tandoori chicken, mishkaki, and nundu are worth a try.Believably popular with families and groups so always watch out for weekends and busy evening hours.Also keep an eye out for their other spots around Dar (Kisutu, Uoanga, Masaki, Dar Free Market)

By far the best street chicken Ive had! We came a 2nd time a year later to reconfirm that it was as good as we remembered. And it did not let us down. For 9000 shillings, get the BBQ chicken (we chose the spicy option) with a large side of masala chips. Dipping sauces are added to the table for an absolutely fulfilling meal.

Street Food at its best! A great place for the classic Dar es Salaam Street food without trying to be up-class. This may therefore not be for everyone. It is a barbecue so if you are vegetarian you might be hungry. Wish they did offer more vegetarian option. BBQ paneer would be amazing!

As far as street food goes Mambos is the best. First try of sekela and I absolutely loved it. The lemon chicken was true to its name and worth the trip. We had fries for a side, however naan is also available on the menu. Seating is outdoor by the tram route so probably best to go there after sunset. Service was fast. If you love chicken and are into trying new things this is definitely a place to go.

This place is a gem! Its a bare street corner by day, but comes to life at night and offers some incredible food! The Palak Paneer is fantastic! Ive never gotten sick here and I have a weak Canadian stomach.

Great Nyama Choma place.I was there with family and we had a great meal of vast kinds of meat i.e. fish, chicken, beef etc. Very tasty. The price is quite affordable and good for family and friends. It is a night grill joint btw. Good service and friendly staff.

That is not an easy award to get cause this girl has had a lot of chicken in her days🤰🏾Our entire table ordered the Chicken Sekela (i think) Just ask for the red chicken. Oh and the chips masala 🔥🔥#lifechanging It is so juicy and marinated so perfectly and guess what.....they don’t open until sunset 🤦🏾‍♀️. Don’t dare come here at lunch thinking you are going to get this yumminess your feelings will be hurt.The good news is there are like 50 other restaurant like this in downtown Dar es Salaam. I think this is the Upanga region, confirm with Google. They all open at dusk and make this Tanzania signature red chicken. Most tourist sleep on this treat because its not written in tour books but its written in my belly and all the other locals. Nom Nom Nom

The food are delicious and their service is good. They are very time conscious and thats great.

The first branch of the mambos chain and i personally feel is the best of the 4 branches that have opened up. By the road and has outside seating. Its a good vibe of tantalising spicy food and watching the busy streets with vendors trying to sell you items ranging from hangers to picture frames. Service can be slow at times but for quality is always top notch and value for money. No alcohol allowed but they have wide range of fresh fruit juices. I would highly recommend the chicken tikka boti and nundu if you are a fan of it.

If you like spicy bbq chicken, get your behind to this spot asap. Great start to any night in town. Everything happens outside here to make for a unique dining experience.

Its a nice place to go out and enjoy berberque of different meat. Also they serve drinks and juices of various types. If you like spices...this is a place to be.
