Had known this place and been dining here since 2014 for a couple times and had enjoyed every time. Since i shifted from town in 2018 to another area had forgotten about this place. Came back again to remember how good the food tastes and how big their portions are... Gonna be coming here more often again also they have very reasonable price for a meal that can easily be enough for 2 people. Always seems quiet and staff is trained professionals, makes you feel like you are served in a luxury restaurant. Over-priced luxury restaurants need to learn from you guys!! Yesterday Dtd. 13 Feb 2022 my parents and their colleagues went for dinner to this over the top restaurant, as soon as they returned home, out of all, both my parents aged 60 and 56 years and their 2 more colleagues started having stomach pain.They had crispy corn, Manchurian, chilly paneer, and later Roti and Indian Dal-Rice. It got even serious matter that my mother was taken for emergency treatment at Haji Ismail Hospital around 1 AM. I am writing here to inform the management that it hurts me when food is handled or served in careless mannner as it directly impacts the health of a person and hurts even more when it involves a loved one. I wish you take utmost care and not serve food that you know should not fit to serve.

Situated on the lower decks of this impressive building (pictured) in Dar, this huge restaurant is well worth a visit! A super cross section of Indian and Chinese inspired food awaits the guest! Service was excellent, and our Waitress made brilliant suggestions towards our selection. She was prompt, friendly, well informed and knowledgeable of her menu, ingredients used and knew how to read her customers! Well priced, huge portions, a great atmosphere - highly recommended without any doubt!!

I visited the roof top resto-bar for a casual dinner. The food & drinks were great.The ambience was totally worth it!

The restaurant was quite empty at first but gradually more and more people came. The attendants were polite and friendly and the waiter who attended to my table was kind enough to help me out with what to order. I ended up choosing a boneless chicken dish (cant remember the name) but its a savoury dish similar to Chicken Tikka masala but a lot spicier (hotter) with some butter naan. The dish was simply awesome and the virgin mojito was a perfect blend of citrus and mint coolness to counter the heat from the chicken. I would recommend The Alcove as a definite must for any food lover.

Alcove food is great. Speciality are their paneer. Great ambience.

Lovely selection and great tasting food. Went as part of a continuing business meeting whereby focus was on meeting than on the food - but the taste and service resulting in us overeating. All in all - one of the BEST experiences in DAR

The Alcove Restaurant - its an Indian Restaurant based at Haidery Plaza near Indian Temple Street.. all Tanzanian and Indian enjoy their food.Restaurant people are very good in manner to serve the food until you check out as one of the best food you can enjoy..

We liked dining out in this interesting Indian restaurant of the 1st floor in downtown Dar es Salaam. Its possibile to dine on the roof. Good Indian stuff.

The Alcove restaurant for town branch which is located inside Haidery Plaza at the top floor. The restaurant has good outdoor and indoor sitting options. Wide range of Indian food and Indo-chinease menu options. They are well known for their butter chicken and naan. Delivery option is available through the Jumia food app. The service at times can be sloppy especially during the weekends when they are busy. The menu would be considered slightly expensive when compared to other Indian restaurants.

This place is amazing and has an amazing view even if its day afternoon or evening and night 🌃 good food and very delicious all types of dishes if you need Chinese Indian And other Continental dishes.. there are also different types of deserts like ice creams faluda firni Custer etc also have amazing accommodations like enough size Halls with AC where can hold meeting for 50 ppl.Can get amazing sekela Chips gajjar chips other bittings and staters before the main course.. I personally enjoy it there whenever i go.Because below the restaurant there different types of offices n businesses selling stuff like PC pc accessories sunglasses watches air tickets n etc
