Quiet but beautiful resort by the ocean. Polite and helpful staff. Chef Alam was outstanding. He went beyond the call of duty to cater to our dietery needs. Food was amazing. He is the principal asset. Showers are not efficient but who needs them when the ocean is on the door step.

Dont be scammed. They took my money and I gave them all my info. Not knowing they were closed and under renovation and no one called or emailed me to inform me about this until when I got there on Sunday night!!! Worst part is for them to refund my money, I need to prove I stayed somewhere else and give them a hotel name and receipt and card used to pay...who does business like this!!!! Very beautiful and charming resort. All the rooms are big in size and cleaned. They have 3 swimming Pools there you can enjoy swimming whole day. Nice beach and also but most they served good food with lots of variety. Staff are very helpful tooReally enjoyed my trip and will come back

The 6 night stay at the African was part of a 14 day trip all around Tanzania, and one of five accommodations we stayed at, and I can say by far the best one - cause of the location, the food and the kindest people who work there.It is located on a stretch of the beach in the peaceful village Bwejuu. For relaxing and soaking up some of the fresh Zanzibar sun and breeze you can either take the beach or the pool, which are right next to each other. The poolside is nice and clean (great maintenance by the pool guys Isa & Muweba). You can also ask for a beach towel (free of charge). Next to all of that is the beach bar, where you can order freshly squeezed juices, cocktails, beer & spirits and listen to all african greatest hits (ask the waiter Zambron to hook you up)!For amenities you can play beach volleyball on a perfect white sandy beach, or you can play some billiards (which needs a bit of updating) in the lounge area of the resort. There is also a TV lounge.There you can also arrange a variety of tours on the island with the hotel tour management (two nice ladies work there).We stayed in a room by the poolside, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable and also had a mosquito net. The rooms are cleaned daily if you dont put a Do not disturb sign.Restaurant - the food there is AMAZING! From seafood, fish, octopus, traditional african meals, continental food, all kinds of sauces, gravies, salads and deserts made with a variety of african, arabic and indian spices. We had a buffet for breakfast & dinner, and we ordered ala carte for lunch. For buffets they always recharge the meals which are eaten so there are no worries it wont be enough for everybody. Special mention to the restaurant manager Odello which runs it which such kindness and grace, always worrying about the guests needs.But the man of the hour is definitely chef Alam. The chef often comes tothe restaurant to see which meals are needed to be refilled and checks with guests is everything okay. The thing is that my wife has a gluten and lactose intolerance and for every single meal chef Alam with great care showed us what she can eat and always made her something extra just for her so she and I can have a stress-free vacation.Special mention also for the hotel management mr. Fabio (Mr. Fabulous) and mr. Said which were always there if needed to answer some of your questions, and more. All of the staff and people working there were so kind, helpful and always greeted us with smiles and love and would like to say - Asante sana rafiki!Hakuna Matata

Amazing place to stay with great hospitality and treatment from the staff. Also, a very nice restaurant to have your lunch and dinner.It has a beautiful view of the sea and is surrounded with wonderful and well maintained gardens.

We only went to the restaurant, but Id say never go here! This was the worst experience of my life; When we wanted to pay, we had a miscommunication about the price of the wine and wanted to spreak to the manager. No one of the staff could spreak proper english (this was probably the reason of miscommunication). Instead of the manager, the security guy came, he didnt want to talk with us, but got angry and forced us to pay. When we denied, he grabbed my phone from the table and walked away. There were 3 guys making sure we couldnt leave the property. Obviously they let their emotions stand in the way of proffesional service. In the end we just paid the extra $13(?!!) because they frightend us so much, we didnt feel safe anymore. Its feels terifying that we got threathed like this, after wanting to talk to the manager. It was an horrific experience. The wine was even terrible and not worth anything.

Friendly and efficient staff. Great variety of meals. 3 pools in front of some rooms, some rooms have seaview. Last night had a bonfire and singer with free drink and snacks. So far awsome experience.x

I would not be staying here again. The staff was really friendly. The place is located on the beach with a very nice view. This is in fact a very poor country with this I could agree just from the airport to the hotel it could be confirmed. However it has really come to my attention that management is not involved at all. Maintenance in the resort is defnintyly not a priority. Another guest almost got killed or would have been in a serious condition because of the bad maintenance. They also neglect to inform you that your all inclusive would end the last night of your stay leaving you with nothing to drink your final day before departure. How much could you really drink before your departure? One drink maybe two but definitely not more than what you have in a full day. This just shows top management commitment and customer focuse.

Complete package of enjoyment.... But little bit costly

Stay here was not that not great. Rooms were bad and dirty. There were a few dead bugs in my room and my pillow looked like it got run over by a car tire. Food did not taste good and was constantly served cold when ordered a la carte. Many food items on the menu items were unavailable too.We enjoyed the pool, but it could have been better. For instance, they did not have enough cushions for the pool chairs. So the person working constantly had to move cushions around and many times there were not enough cushions for people. Also, it would be nice if at least one pool was heated or if there was a hot tub.On a positive note, on our last day, the indian chef prepared us a special meal and we were served chai and snacks when requested. This definitely made our experience better on the last day. Overall, our stay was okay. If you are just going to relax by the pool, this should be sufficient. Just dont go in with high expectations and plan to eat out for a few meals.

The first PiliPili facility I have been to - a beautiful place, the staff cares about a good atmosphere, cleanliness in the room and common areas. Good food and a large beach. If you are looking for a place in Zanzibar where you can relax after exploring this charming island, I recommend PiliPili Holiday Resort & Spa

One of the best, if not the best resort in the Pili Pili chain in my opinion. At the same time, it is one of the largest available in their offer, which of course also translates into the number of people with us in the resort, but due to the fact that it is also really large on the surface, you do not feel that there are several times more people in it than in other centers.Delicious food and drinks, one of the few resorts where there is a buffet and a la carte (I do not recommend pizza, it is better in Milele 😅).The staff is very nice and always helpful. Every day you can count on various attractions organized by the center.The location is ideal for getting to know the other objects in the Pili Pili network, because it is located more or less in the middle - regardless of whether we go right or left, after about an hour we will reach another center from the network.Another huge plus is the number of sports activities available - of course there are two large swimming pools and two smaller ones. In addition, we will find a place to play beach games, football goals, table tennis and billiards.The only minor disadvantages are the rooms, which are a bit rough, but really big and comfortable (although they were supposed to be renovated now, so its possible that this problem is gone 😅) and ... Poor internet 😅 really, if you want to look at something in the network, you have to be patient

Housed in one of the bungalows in the garden area which is located behind the main building. So, the structure is visibly dated, especially the rooms would need a restyling. The beds, however, are not very comfortable and do not have mosquito nets. There is a fan and air conditioning and they are working. The bathroom has a shower with hot water always available and a hairdryer. The room is large with a sitting area with kettle (with a good choice of teas, herbal teas, coffee, empty minibar, armchairs and coffee table, fan and blackout curtain that divides from the sleeping area. Overall the structure works and is equipped with many comforts, 3 swimming pools, showers and poolside bar, sun loungers both by the pool and on the beautiful beach, all included in the rate. Usable but ruined pool table and pingpong table. The problem is that the structure has been a bit let go and is a great pity since it is located in a quiet and beautiful area of ​​mine.Varied and good breakfast with freshly made fruit juice, coffee, tea, cappuccino, fresh fruit plate, I always had spanish omelette (optionally also eggs), accompanied by bread, butter, jam, sweets or croissants, choice of sautéed chicken sausage , beans, toast with cheese, or pancakes ... in short, a little bit of everything. Not enough ... chicken - like in the USSR “blue bird) - just finely chopped together with the bones ... also chopped crabs with rice ... so you wont be able to lose weight - you will be replenished with sweet pancakes ... very similar to hotels *** in Goa ... who was, he will understand. The hotel grounds are beautiful. I do not recommend the pool - there is simply no water filtration system - they pour chlorine in buckets ... the entrance to the water on the beach is not sand !!! And white clay !!! Lots of sea urchins - slippers are required !!! And remember, there is simply NO medicine on the island !!!

We rested in this hotel together with my wife from 18 to 27 November 2020 according to the all-inclusive system with alcohol. Keep in mind that the hotel has two vme systems included - light is without alcohol and normal AI. There were many who were caught due to inattention. Awful place !!! No beach !!! Little food !!! The staff was absolutely wonderful, they did everything to make us happy. The food is good, a little cold but it fixed them in the end. The owner should buy new stuff. The bed was hard, we told about new mattress and it got much better. Clean and nice, they cleaned every day.The downside was that the small bar closed to all-inclusive guests at 9 pm not ok, you might want to have something to drink when the food is ready 😊 On the whole, it is definitely worth visiting. Also shower gel and shampoo.Rooms are cleaned daily. Conscientious cleaning - very clean. Towels are changed every day. Bed linen every three days. In the evenings, once again spray the room and the entrance to it with a mosquito spray. They were never in the room.Each bungalow has its own large veranda with a table and comfortable chairs. The floor is also washed there every day.Every two days, the gardener mows the grass, removes dry leaves and takes care of the trees in every bungalow in every possible way.Kitchen! Delicious food cooked with soul! The chef is great. Every day I talked with the guests and asked about their impressions of lunch and dinner.Surprisingly great wi - fi throughout. It catches both on the beach and in the room.There are 3 swimming pools. All clean.Ocean ... twice a day there were low tides. The first three days the water temperature in the ocean was 40 degrees ... hot current .. then 30 degrees. Almost all the time och shallow and you need to go far to swim .. but this rest did not spoil. Deeper - the water is cleaner .. because sand rises in shallow areas and becomes very cloudy. We swam in slippers.Conclusion: GREAT HOLIDAY FOR NORMAL MONEY!
