I stayed at Evergreen for five nights in February ‘22. What an amazing bungalows. I was greeted with such kindness and this continued throughout my stay. The room was very authentic. I had a fantastic view over the ocean. The restaurant located inside the complex was delicious. I dined here for breakfast usually.Many thanks to Claudia and Mustafa!!!
Good place on the beach side. We didnt stay at the hotel but came by to relax on the beach with a drink and a snack. Nice people, good food and reasonable prices. Option to pay with CC (add 5%) was good. Visit when in the neighbourhood of stay at the hotel.
Wonderful team, very relaxing and cozy atmosphere, great food and pretty close to nightlife and kite spot Paje.I prolonged my stay here several times as exploring the rest of the island suddenly didnt feel that important anymore.

Very nice and relaxing place right at the beach with hammocks and beds at the beach to chill. Amazing food and nice drinks. They also have shisha and the nicest staff. We were hanging out there for drinks during day times and evenings and felt welcomed. When one of us was sick they even helped out with medicine and recommendations. Wifi is super stable and fast. Rooms look nice as well, though we didn’t spend a night since we had already booked a place near there. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 5 days. Really relaxing, lots of places to just chill and read - both inside and outside. The staff is awesome and really helpful. They want to get to know you better and help you find your way. The security guy taught us to play Bao ^^When you arrive it does not look like much but once you enter the gate everything is gorgeous!The best thing is the food to be honest ❤️ :) you can eat here for days and not be bored with the food.

Nice place, but we got very bad skin infection, and there was very sick cat, but the owner was not trying to do anything, just talk. So, I’m really angry, how can you let things like this happen in your hotel ?! This cat was going to bungalows and sitting on beds. We got so bad skin infection.. Im thinking take her to court for that.
If you want to feel like home in paradise i would recommend Evergreen Bungalows. A very cozy family atmosphere away from everyday stress. Explore the nature, let your spirits flow and experience the kindness and hospitality of the whole team. I stayed there 10 days and didnt want to leave and i am sure that i definetly will go again.For breakfast you can choose between different eggs options or pancakes additonally you have fruits. Tea or coffee is included. For lunch or dinner you can choose from daily menue or a la carte. Preparation of the food is always fresh and the prices are really faire if you compare to other places in Zanzibar.The place is in walking distance from the village Bwejuu and far away from mass tourims.The facilities are basic but really clean. You have all what you need. Of course is not a luxurious resort! BUT staying there you feel free and united with nature and this is priceless!In general you should know if you visit Zansibar you have to consider low and high tide. For me it wasnt a problem as on low tide you can do different activities like wading, rent a bike and cycle or just hang in a hammok and enjoy the nature.I want to thank Claudia, Dina, Jamila, Mustafa, Paul, Ussi, Alawi and the rest of the team for the fantastic hospitality.Hope to see you soon.Lovely Greetings Elif

We were both here for 8 years as a family with two children. The staff is friendly and helpful. The complex is very well maintained and kept clean. The German boss, Claudia, is available 24 hours a day with tips. The beach is white, the prices are ok. Familyfriendly.
We had a great stay and really enjoyed the time.I liked this:- The location at the beach was great and you wake up with a great view of the sea. With plenty of seating and lounging options, there are plenty of places to stay in the accommodation.- The owner was very friendly and made you feel completely at ease. The staff was friendly too.- The food is varied and you have a new selection every day. Overall it was delicious.I didnt like this:- It is very remote, much more than just chilling, walking on the beach is almost impossible, you always need a taxi to get anywhere- The staff sometimes seems a little disorganized (long wait for orders, something is forgotten and you have to point it out more often)- The portions when eating were always too small for us, we were rarely full from main courses, and always needed a third dish/snack. However, the food was very good!- Compared to other hotel restaurants, the prices were significantly higher, a little less would be great, especially since you are very dependent on the restaurant
We were guests at Evergreen for 11 days, or rather AT HOME. Its a beautiful place with nice people and delicious food. We had a bungalow room with a king size bed on the ground floor. The staff is incredibly nice and fulfills every wish. We fell in love with this place and will come again. Our thanks for these beautiful days also go to Claudia and Mustafa who run this paradise. The bungalows are comfortable and tastefully decorated, located 10 steps from the beach lined with coconut palms. An exceptional view of the turquoise lagoon. For all Southeast Asia lovers who want to experience something new, I can highly recommend Evergreen Bungalow.The bungalows are located directly on the sea, offer everything you need and you can spend the whole day barefoot.Claudia and Mustafa are great hosts and help with all kinds of questions or transfers, excursions, etc. The staff is also very friendly, attentive and always has a smile on their faces. From the beginning of May to the end of May as a solo traveler in the Evergreen, an indescribable experience to wake up in paradise, no comparison to the bed castles as you can find them everywhere on the island. The beach is a 1 with a star, the sea right in front of the door and to Paje to party, 5 minutes by taxi (thanks to Alawi 😉). The restaurant is great, eating right on the beach is a real experience. Claudia and Mustafa have really created something unique here, please keep it that way, thank you for everything you two !!!!
The location is very, very chilled out, right by the sea. More is not possible. Everything worked out fine. Bungalow, food is great, service is great. Claudia is a great host. Short connection to Paje. We would love to come back.
During my vacation in Bweeju I have had lunch and dinner at Evergreen Bungalows several times and have always enjoyed it. I think it is one of the places where you eat better and spend less money than in the others in the area and then ... how good the Chapati😍 It is also one of the few where I was served a good white wine by the glass. Next time I will also try to stay there!Also recommended for a warm, familiar environment surrounded by tropical vegetation
The most authentic place to stay in Zanzibar in my opinion. If you like local flair and not luxury, youve come to the right place. The rooms are nicely decorated, the service is great too. Whether breakfast on the balcony or terrace, cocktail on the beach or on the hammock. Hakuna Matata is popular here.

We were there four nights. Because of the few guests (Corona-related) our booking was upgraded, we got a large bungalow. The decor of the premises is adequate (we liked it very much, but you shouldnt expect a hotel suite), the prices are very cheap. The sanitary facilities work, the warm water is sometimes only lukewarm, but that doesnt matter. Occasionally there were brief power outages, but that was certainly not due to the accommodation and did not bother us. WiFi is only available in the restaurant / lounge, but who in Zanzibar wants to be permanently on their cell phones? The location right by the sea and the beach (white sand!) Are fantastic, the outdoor area is among other things. equipped with hammocks, benches / tables and loungers. The restaurant is excellent, the kitchen team has come up with lots of goodies, including for breakfast. There was brunch once. The cocktails are great. The staff is very friendly, relaxed and accommodating. You can book activities on site (with a freelancer) (e.g. dolphin swimming (tip!), Spice farm tour or sea safari). Please do not collect any mussels / snail shells, export is strictly prohibited, even if the white sandy beach invites you to do so.
Was absolutely the right decision to book here. The bungalows are great. You have everything you need. There is a great vibe in the complex. Absolutely perfect for me as a solo traveler.Claudia and Mustafa do it great and take care of everything directly if you have wishes. For me it was the perfect vacation on the beach. Chillout auf Zanzibar.First for anyone wondering if its complicated to fly to Sansibar: in four days everything was sorted, including the E-Visa.The Evergreen cabins are duplex, but you cant hear anyone else living upstairs. Delicious breakfasts and very good real coffee. The staff speak very good English and will arrange whatever you need. In the evening, a small, but perfectly sufficient menu of dishes.Very nice owners: a lady from Germany and a gentleman from Turkey organize a barbecue, boat trips to the coral reef, swimming in the grotto, trips to the reserve. Besides .... beach, sun, kite surfing ...
Nice staff, choose from about 5 meals in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. Large selection of cocktails. 😁 The restaurant is right on the beach, with swings, hammocks. Very nice place ☺️
The bungalows of Claudia and Mustafa were planned as the first accommodation for 2 days on our Zanzibar trip. Because we felt so comfortable here, it turned into 4 overnight stays. Due to the warm atmosphere with which we were welcomed by all the staff, it was very difficult for us to start again. The bungalows are clean and in a perfect location to the ocean. Swimming trunks on and into the bath water .....With its delicious menu and large chill area, the restaurant is the center of the complex all day long. It is infinitely easy to meet interesting people from all over the world. Simply magical!
It couldnt be better!The complex is newly renovated, the rooms are kept simple but a dream. Here you actually feel like in paradise. All rooms are located directly on the beach with a view of the sea. The Evergreen was the cheapest and by far the most beautiful accommodation on our trip.The food was in my opinion Also very good and cheap (about 10 euros the most expensive dish). The cocktails were also very good and cheap (about 5 to 7.50 euros). The breakfast was also very convincing. The staff were super friendly and attentive.There was also nothing left to be desired with regard to possible activities. The Evergreen has its own (Padi) diving school where you can book snorkeling trips and diving trips for little money. Here you can also rent a canoe or water shoes for a mudflat hike. All other excursions could be booked very cheaply through the hotel. The hotel also has its own driver who, if pre-booked, e.g. (also at night) to the airport or to other destinations. Through the hotel you can also rent bicycles (approx. 5 euros per day and bike) and scooters (Vespa or automatic approx. 25-30 euros). There is enough wind for kiting too!Claudia and her husband (the owners of the Evergreen) are super nice and always available for questions and any other help or just to chat or directly on site.Overall, the Evergreen was rated excellent in my opinion. absolutely deserved.We would love to come back!David

Robinson crusoe feeling, new owners who have recently renovated in November 2018. The staff is just sugar and the owners are happy to have a sweetheart. Mustafa and Claudia emigrated from Germany in October 2018. The restaurant is top because the menu changes daily. Every Tuesday is a Swahili BBQ with live music
