First camp on the Machame route. The hike from the gate goes through the beautiful rain forest from Machame gate. The altitude of the camp is 3835m.Youll see the peak when it isnt cloudy. Usually in the morning and during the evening.

The first camp site youll reach via the machame route. You will hike through a dense, lush and beautiful rainforest to get here. Its a moderate hike. Just make sure youre drinking enough water. Enjoy!

First day camping from machame gate its has almost 11km from machame gate there is some hills and good climatic conditions in the way tall trees also are in the way

First overnight stop on the Machame route.Despite a 11km walk to get here, splendid views of the peak, Mt Meru and the valley across are a major highlight.The trail to the camp through the rainforest is very well maintained.Pro: No bamboo trees in this part of the rainforest, which makes the hike easier.

Nice and well organised camp just outside the tropical forest area at 3000m. There are views of the peak. Your porters should prepare everything so you should be comfortable. My only complaint is the disgusting toilets.

First camp via the Machame route.Quite narrow camping area so all the tents are a bit too stuck together.Camp located at the exit of the forest, which allows in good weather, to see the top of Kili.

Camp not very spacious, the tents are very close together but this camp offers a splendid sunset on Mount Meru that pays for everything

A transit camp for the Trekk to Kilimanjaro. Many people (logical to be the first). In certain things, a little chaos. The place is magnificent.
