Me and my squad chose Lazy Lagoon because it was far away from the Battle Bus and we wanted to loot up. Best choice we could have made! The ship was huge and had tons of loot, and even had cannons so we could rotate out of storm. The water wasn’t very deep, so we had to revive one of our squad mates, but we had a Medkit so we were fine. With our loot from Lazy Lagoon, we were able to get the epic victory royale! Would highly recommend to anyone trying to get a dub!
We absolutely loved our time at Lazy Lagoon, from the moment we got on the boat we had so much fun!It is such a beautiful place and so nice to get back to nature. Food was great, staff were amazing and rooms were so nice with the most amazing views!
I really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Lagoon. We went as a big group of sailors, sailing from the Dar Yacht Club all the way to Lazy Lagoon. Jane really made sure we were all comfortable and well taken care of.Its a simple yet beautiful place. The view is gorgeous and the space is peaceful. The food was good and there was always coffee at the ready, which all the tired sailors appreciated. The only downside is we didnt have much time to explore, so Ill have to go back with more time.
Bes place to stay after a Safari! Very nice and friendly people there and also excellent food. I will miss the last 3 days!!
Check in was done after 4 hrs of waiting. We were not alone rather more than 5 families were made to wait like this. Overbooked but have no service. No amenities like kettle in rooms. Even electricity comes for fixed hours. So in humid weather, no AC is there. So if you wanna go with kids, plan some good hotel. No proper Internet. Recharge your data bundles as hotel gives only excuses.Worst part is the spread of lunch, dinner & even breakfast. Only 2-3 items served that too were out of stock within 15-20 mins. Then you keep on requesting & the staff will keep on refusing that it’s over. Breakfast starts at 9am as per the hotel though anywhere in world it starts max by 7am. No cereals or corn flakes even served in breakfast.Overall they are charging more than a 5 star property but when comes to service; it’s Zero. For everything their reason is less staff due to Corona. Although I’m a Tanzanian resident & telling you that there is nothing like this in Tanzania. Blatant lies & useless follow up to be done for basic things.Worst Beach experience ever.
If you are looking for a place with breath taking serenity then this is the place to be..peaceful, amazingly beautiful & relaxing.....wilderness at its bestMaintainence:- hygiene is not up to the mark, we had a bad experience with our room not being cleaned after the previous guest had left.. cleanliness is a priority in hospitality industry.Food:- Not that great..We felt it was not up to the mark..A standard should be maintained while serving your customers who come to enjoy the place aswell as meal.Yes the staff made the effort to make our special occasion even more special...very much appreciate it..but except our special day rest of our days the food was not great.Note:- There is no power from 1.30p.m until 6.30p.m & again 10.30 p.m until next morning.. so its a little bit scary and very much inconvenient..also it should be mentioned while booking. So over all a good experience with disappointment.
This Hotel and the overall service is really fantastic. All the houses are directly at the beach, in case of flood this means less then 10 meters. Restaurant and lobby were very nice - pool clean, nothing to complain. The best surprise was the food - very tasty and perfectly cooked with a small Italian touch! Why that in Tansania? The new manager in place has some Italian roots, I guess he influenced the cook a little bit and overall he did very well in the last year...Overall - a great place to relaxe a couple of days - see / sun / water and more!
Love this please! Give them a call to book some the only down side is that they arent on booking platforms. (Come on guys, pick it up, dont bye allergic to money)! That said: this is such a wonderful place, remote with a wonderful staff. Rooms are comfy and private overlooking the ocean while there is plenty to do. This is a perfect gateway place if you need a weekend out of Dar.Cant wait to go back again.
A hidden gem off the coast of Bagamoyo. Accessible only by boat, we had the most magnificent stay at this tropical paradise. Looked after like royalty by managers Charlie and Tim and their fabulous staff, I would highly recommend Lazy Lagoon.
Every element comes together to create a slice of paradise. From the friendly staff, the awesome manager and the dogs who welcome you into the pack, Lazy Lagoon is by far my best local getaway. Sets the standards for local tourism and shows how good things be when done right.
Was here last in 2008. Now 2019 I had some expectations. That was a mistake. Nothing had improved, at best it was at the same level but most was actually not. For 130USD/person you expect a treat. Not run down cottages, holes in the mosquito net and bed sheets, a pool I wouldnt recommend anyone to swim in, a restaurant without ambition (or protein in the vegetarian food), a worn out pool table, dart without darts, etc etc. Feels like they havent invested anything in the place. A shame because there is a lot of potential in it. Turn it into a an affordable luxury eco lodge. Scrap the diesel generator, fix the restaurant, turn it into the haven it could be.
How can I contact you, I need to do booking
We stayed here about five years ago with family who live in Dar. Best place I have ever stayed. Great food. Great service. Amazing scenery. We will be hopefully going back again later this year when we visit the relatives.
It might be a good place got long by google drive, directed me to the middle of someones compound then told to walk the rest of way
Just shy to become paradise, everything is perfect, but the food menu. Am a foodie so it would be nice if the full board had better options
Very good for white space, solitude and if you want to get away from the busy lifestyle
We had a fabulous stay at Lazy Lagoon this month - our daughter enjoyed the unspoilt sea life, swimming pool and food.Charlie and his team made us feel very welcome with no request being too much trouble.Highly recommend this place for families.
Back for the 10 plus time. Looking great. The real island experience!
Paradise on Earth! A great place with only 10 chalets and a nice restaurant with fresh seafood. Here you will find peace!!
Lazy lagoon where do I start the loot is a bit trash and once your in the water there not getting out every game I get teamed by multiple people and I mean I win because I am a pro fortnite player (black knight obtainer) however its not quite paradise palms lucky landing
The food is OK, the rooms are ok, the problem is the limited electricity.
Dear Jane and all staff at Lazy Lagoon,Thanks for some wonderful Days in your Place. How nice to be out of reach for all mobiles, internet, tv etc. and just enjoying the tranquility of your lovely Place. We have stayed in many places all over the World and have had some real good food-experiences too. But we must say that what your staff at the L.L. served us during our stay should earn a couple of stars in the Micheline recording system. Thanks again and if we come that way again we know for sure where to stay!Best regards to all of youLena and Inge JohnssonSweden
Excellent service. Pillows need replacing.

Breath taking
Very good kitchen, quick service in the rooms, snorkeling good. The crossing was a bit interesting, the boat just big enough. The landing stage on the mainland side should be improved.
A heavenly place to stay in the Indian Ocean. Those looking for relaxation and peace will not be disappointed here. Loving staff in a dream setting with excellent cuisine ..
Was super great
