As a solo traveller I had the safari to myself and loved every minute of it. The accommodation they selected was amazing both with locations and comfort. Ally was extremely knowledgeable and provided great insight into history, culture, flora and fauna. Obviously the highlight being able to see the Big 5 and plenty of other animals running wild in their environment. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks for a memorable time guys.

Fantastic safari experience with Tanzania Exclusive Journeys, Jane was great to work in with via email and helped customize our itinerary to our liking! :) I was a little nervous at first because there werent a lot of reviews, so I want to give a big shout out and recommendations. It was a trip of a lifetime. We traveled at the end of December 2021 during the calving season. Ian our guide was so awesome!!! Experienced and funny! He knew where to go to show us animals. It was like a dream.We traveled from Arusha to Ngorongoro crater and stayed at the Ngorongoro Sanctuary Camp. It was so lovely!!!! Forever remember the great service and food. Asante sana!! :) In Ngorongoro we saw lions (mating up close) and all types of animals!!! Zebras, wildebeest, ostrich, warthogs, elephants!We then went to Ndutu plains the next day and saw lion cubs resting under the tree!!! Wow and millions of wildebeest!!!We proceeded to Serengeti National park and stayed for 2 nights at the Serengeti Wilderness Camp!!! So in love .We saw huge herds of buffalo and so many giraffe. Early in the morning we saw a pride of 20 plus lions!!!! We saw a cheetah hunt its prey. We were up close to elephants, it was just more than we could ever have imagined!!!Our guide Ian again was so great! He knew what to look for to spot animals and just funny and friendly!We recommend Tanzania Exclusive Journeys wholeheartedly .

I chose Tanzania Exclusive Journeys on the recommendation of a friend who is a professional photographer. I wanted a private safari without any other people in the vehicle and our own guide and my own itinerary. Tony the regional tour director was brilliant at helping set up our itinerary and suggested great upgrades where appropriate. I have lived and worked in Africa most of my life but this was the best trip ever and a great first safari experience for my wife. Ian our guide and driver was brilliant. We saw the big five and so much more. In half an hour we saw 4 cheetah and two leopards! How he spots them is unbelievable. We saw thousands of buffalo and elephants. A total of 6 leopards was unbelievable and every camp/lodge was superb. Tarangire Lodge - brilliant; Gibbs Farm stunning; Serena Ngorongoro Crater Lodge unbelievable and Amini Maasai Lodge just an amazing life changing experience. Highly recommended on all levels and immense thanks to Ian!!Superb!!!

Tanzania Exclusive Journeys helped me organize my visit to Kenya. The best trip ever!! I loved everything about the experience. I felt absolutely taken care of, the scenery is beautiful, the people marvelous. All the staff at hotels and Safari guides and drivers were excellent, polite, well informed, responsible. 100% professional and with great expertise. We did the 9-day Tanzania safari tour as a couple. It was utterly breathtaking and somehow exceeded our already high expectations. From the outset, he catered to all our wishes to see an array of different wild animals. His knowledge of the parks and animals is outstanding and we loved his sense of humor and energy - especially on some early mornings when we needed it most! It was our first trip to Africa and we found that the level of service in Africa, especially that is provided by Tanzania Exclusive Journeys much better than expected. Jane was very quick in responding to all of our emails. Ian, who accompanied us throughout the trip, is a very good, reliable, and knowledgeable driver guide. He even found my phone that was dropped from the jeep somewhere in Serengeti. He has eyes like a hawk and spotted animals that we could not see on our own. Hotels, camps, food, and facilities were very comfortable and enjoyable (we booked the Comfort package and it lived to our expectation). The only thing that did not surprise us was the village tour that involves a visit to a village very similar to where we come from (Indonesia). The village trip should have been replaced by the much sought Maasai village visit (which we eventually did with additional fee). We were also not very comfortable doing the bargaining with the locals at the Maasai village. Otherwise, Tanzania Exclusive Journeys is fully recommended!

Tony did a great job organizing our safari by email so we felt pretty good before we left that it was going to be a great trip!Although we had people arriving on different days, our guide Elias picked us up from the airport and everything went smoothly. Kenyan airlines lost my wife and my checked luggage, but the Tanzania Exclusive Journeys team worked with the airlines to find our bags and get them delivered to our hotel. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great trip.We went in the off-season which meant that we saw the same animals, paid less, and stayed in fabulous hotels instead of bush camps. I personally would have preferred the bush camps, but I got out voted by the rest of my party.We had 8 days and saw everything we wanted to see, including all of the big five. I didnt understand what that was until we got there, but its s big deal to the safaris. Im glad we got a chance to see leopards and rhinos as they are scarce and we might not have seen them otherwise except that they are in the big five and worth the effort to track them down.Everyone we met from Tanzania was very pleasant. Our guide spoke excellent English and taught us a few words in Swahili. The hotel staff were multilingual and spoke English Spanish German and I think I heard Japanese or Korean as well. I was impressed it was so multi National. We could tell the cars of Japanese by the huge zoom lenses on all their cameras. HUGE. FYI, I had a small point and shoot that I kept in my pocket and was fine. The animals are so close that you dont need a huge zoom.It was amazing and we would definitely go again. We are already planning to go back and climb Kilimanjaro. We would use this safari operator again without hesitation.

We had been dreaming of doing a safari for years and finally got down to it after discovering Tanzania Exclusive Journeys. We went with our 11 year old son and 15 year old daughter on a 12 days experience. We had extremely high expectations and were not disappointed. On the contrary: the experience was even better than we could have imagined.Tanzania Exclusive Journeys is a big safari company that takes extremely good care of the clients. Already in the booking process they adapt to any wish you have. It is a very personal safari program they offer. We asked to add several walking safaris and they were simply amazing. Our guide and driver Marc made sure we had the best ranger possible for the hikes. Marc is an amazing guide. He is very knowledgable and really tries to make the clients happy. He got out of his way several times, driving extra kilometeres, improvising just that we could see more animals. We saw all the big animals and even the rare rhino. He drove a special road in Serengeti to look for them. We saw river crossings with crocodiles. We saw many small animals, among them the serval cat, which obviously was a stroke of luck. But this luck was also made possible by Marc’s knowledge about how animals behave and where they move. We saw lions hunting and a kill.Marc’s explanations were excellent. Our teenage kids could not get enough of the safari and Marc’s explanation and company. They were in tears when we had to say good-bye and so were the adults. We parted as friends.Marc also explained us a lot about Maasai people and customs. The last day we went to visit a Maasai school which is financed by Tanzania Exclusive Journeys. The people in the village danced and sang for us and welcomed us warmly. It was an incredible experience.Tanzania Exclusive Journeys does not only look after its clients, it is also involved in social projects and gives back to the people from Tanzania. It is an incredible company and I strongly recommend it. We always felt extremely safe on the trip. The driving was perfect, the car was very comfortable: they gave us a jeep for 6 people although we were only 4 people. The car worked very well, Marc took good care of it: he knows a lot about cars. Whenever we met a stranded car, Marc helped the stranded driver and always discovered the underlying mechanical problem.We went for 12 days and it felt short. It was a dream.
