So we were quite overwhelmed with options once arriving to Arusha and visited a few agencies including the Arusha Center that monitors all the Safari providers and Big 5 were on their list and we got a recommendation by the governmental official since we told them about the companies we were considering. Overall we had a good feel from the meeting w James who didnt push us into anything and was really chill. We ended up choosing two days in Tarangire and Ngorongoro and it was an amazing experience. We joined a group and everything was perfect from a new and comfy land cruiser to a really nice guide - Patrick, we were overwhelmed w the amount of food and water was also provided in more than sufficient amounts. As for the safaris, everything was chill... we saw all the big five, plenty of awesome animals and beautiful landscapes. Radio organising was running very low so it didnt bother us during the safari. We stayed at kizumba camp over night and that was great as well. We got a comfy bed in a nice big tent and all the staff was professional and friendly. If i compare our experience w the orher reviews i read about other providers, we were really lucky w our choice and i can not recommend big 5 enough. Keep up the good work guys and thanks again!

The boss came to talk to usWe agreed on a 6 days safari. With 1 night in a tent, 2 nights in a camping tent and 2 nights in a hostel in Seregenti park. With WhatsApp messages we got the planning and more details about the safari. In the morning we confirmed to do the safari the next day. We agreed on a total price of $2200 in total.We got a message back that the hostel was full and for only $120 per person per night we could have a lodge with swimming pool in Seregenti. We agreed on a total price of $2500, 2 persons 6 days safari, everything included (- $45pp cost of the hostel we first agreed on)We got to the office in Arusha to pay, and there it was 5% more to pay with card, that was never told to us (we had cash at the hostel!). After again discussing this, he dropped the commission fees, and we got receipts.Then next day, we started the safari.We arrived at the meeting point to start. Nobody of the company was there, all of the sudden our program was changed and we had to go with another company on safari, also another group.We had no communication about it, even if we asked for it.After day 1 of safari, I got messages from the boss of the company, that we had to pay more money. We called him after this and then he asked for more money: we paid only for 1 night at the lodge he said. So we had to pay $240 more. Also he talked again about commission fees we had to pay. We paid everything in the office so we didn’t understand why he was again talking about it..The lodge was already booked and confirmed (see photo of WhatsApp message)We didn’t want to pay extra, so we asked for another option. He said we sleep in tents then and get money back. Then all of the sudden the call ended..We worried all night, because we started already the tour and now we got really bad vibes.The day after we got $240 back. We had a great 6 days safari with tour operator: Meru SlopesWe slept 2 nights in a bed and 3 nights in tents at public campsites. Our safari with the other company, meru slopes was really nice. We enjoyed the great migration!Summery: the company asked 3 times for more money, even when we agreed on the price and paid it.No communication during safari or changing planSo book with another company if you don’t want to worry, even if you already started your safari!!

Very bad the owner treeted my guests and i bad because they were not so honest at the first time until my trousts start the trip even the foods and where they slept in the tent for the 3 night was very bad they complained alot

TO FLEE !!!!We accepted their quote without negotiating for a 3 day 2 night safariWhen we got there, we were harassed to pay this huge sum in cash, for a weekThen on D-day we are told that the amount we have given is only for two days! Amoni the one who sold us this safari played dead the whole time and never answered us again. James the second boss, a liar and a stalker to be paid in cash.The first day of the safari he calls the guide to say that the lodge is full and that we have to go to another lodge much further, while we were also harassed to pay a deposit 3 months before precisely to book this lodge .Finally on the second day in the evening we are validated our third day of safari without knowing what happened.Unreliable, very weird, liar and scams, FLEE FROM JAMES & AMONI !!!

First night and last night at Crest Safari Lodge (far from the center of Arusha) are chargeable (not included in the already exorbitant price of Safari).Very basic comfort for nights in bivouac tents (no cushions, sleeping bag and mattress very fine, and all does not seem to be cleaned because it smells very bad in the tent).The food is not exceptional.And to finish the return trip to the airport is not included in the price of Safari and will cost you the sum of $ 40 !! (For only 12km).Our guide was Semvua, not very riding on schedules ....We do not recommend this agency.

I realized a safari of 5 days, 4 nights with my lover!The Big Five travel agency has been really good!The team for the organization and the team on the spot was really on top !!I highly recommend !
