First time visitors be warned. If you try to get a taxi ride from Kilimanjaro airport youll be referred to this sign outside. These are ridiculous prices for Tanzania. You can get a ride with the Bolt app (similar to uber or lyft) for 1/10th of the price. Alternatively tell them this is ridiculous and bargain for a normal price.

This is truly a flawless private transfer service! We started off booking just an airport transfer to our hotel near Arusha (with the Kilimanjaro Taxi driver waiting for us at the JRO arrivals hall with a big smile and holding a name board), and ended up doing 3 tours with them including an amazing day safari to Tarangire National Park as well as our transfer to Arusha airport for our flight to Zanzibar. All super punctual with friendly drivers, clean airconditioned cars and a very cool safari vehicle with a great guide. Highly recommended!

When I was volunteering in Arusha a couple of years ago the owner of Kilimanjaro Taxi was one of the main drivers for us and the service was always excellent. I felt safe every time and since he’s a really nice guy we all enjoyed going with him!
