This was an unexpected highlight of my trip to Tanzania. I find it hard to connect with art without knowing its history or the artist and after a great tour of the space and some background on its purpose and formation it was clear that this was a group of people trying to do something positive. Add to that a wonderful combination of modern and traditional styles and this place is truly unique. I love my painting and wish that I could come back for a painting class. Dont miss stopping by this place to meet the artists, experience the magical garden, learn to paint, or to purchase some great art !
The Swahili Art Group is fantastic. We met Rodgers after going to Themi Living Gardens (great food spot) and organised to come the next day. My girlfriend and I are not capable but artists but with Rodgers guiding us, teaching us and showing us tips, we came out with art we are both very happy with. Its a great setting, a wonderful team of artists, a great cause and an awesome day/afternoon activity. Highly recommend! Thanks a lot Rodgers!
These artists are not just extremely talented, but they are also great teachers and great young personalities. We had a great time in Themi Living Garden with these boys - a must visit in Arusha. You can enjoy a little bit of holiday from the busy and dusty city in the jungle, eat organic food and just relax. Especially with the kind guys of Swahili Art!
Magnificent😊keep the fire burning boys
