The Building is definitely historical and has different sections but the maintaince of the building and exhibitions could do with some more investment/upkeep.The photography exhibition on the tribes and the wildlife is extensive. Its a good introduction of the different tribes in Tanzania. The natural history museum section is cool to see but its a bit cramped together.Overall its a good place to go to get some overview. I did however feel that the area dealing with colonial history seemed to represent a one sided sentiment the positivity of colonialism.
A very interesting taste of history. Beautiful gardens and art studios outside and a great museum with plenty of photography and taxidermy inside. The famous nightclub Viavia is just outside too. The area is certainly worth a visit, as it is right in the center of town
Nice museum..Well reserved 👏🏽🥲
Overpriced. 12000 each. The botanical garden is dirty, filled with weeds, and not taken care of. The animals there are very poorly kept. The displays are poorly curated, mostly just photos of animals. The art gallery is basically a market for overpriced ethnic trinkets. The actually section related to Boma is very bad. It doesnt teach you anything about colonialism and the German presense in Arusha. I found it sympathetic to the colonizers and disrespectful to the victims of colonialism. There is no Tanzanians represented in the whole thing. The whole experience felt like a disingenuous attempt to swindle tourist out of money. Do not recommend
Good place to catch up with a brief history of German Tanzania and knowledge of flora and fauna, especially on birds and insects there is a pelican and tortoise at the entrance to usher you in to the beautiful place.
It is good place to understand history of Tanzania. However too old type to exhibit...
Clean , quiet and green. .very fresh air and beautiful garden. Lovely people and most importantly full of history..
Great placeSome artifacts arent well preserved
Lots of interesting information to read. Definitely worth a visit if youre interested in history.
Historic information about the place was amazing
Helpful people. Can arrange cultural tours to various villages in the area, if person is available.
Rich history. Consider visiting it especially if you only have 24hrs in Arusha
Interesting but showing its age. We went in to support the local economy.

First building in Arusha City
Very interesting is the museum, it explains the history among other things, the Germans here in Arusha. For me as a former vet assistant, the repairs of the animals. Normally one can plan an hour.
To see ingenious photographs of the animal world and a good overview of German rule in Tanzania.
Very interesting museum. The natural science department and the department for the history of the fort are particularly worth seeing.
Without any interest
