Thank you so much for 10 wonderful days in Tanzania!Eight Norwegian motorcycle enthusiasts fulfilled all their expectations for Indian Adventures second off-road trip to Tanzania due to superb guidance from you. We got to experience culture, nature and wildlife that are totally different from what we have in northern Europe. We visited a school where the young students, with their hands on their hearts, sang their natal song so that it echoed in the mountains south of Kilimanjaro. We saw many wild animals along the way like giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, ostriches, baboons, antelopes etc. We were on a safari, we ate goats that were slaughtered in the garden, we met Maasai with many wives and even more children, and not least had we a lot of fun motorcycle driving!Despite being BMW drivers at home, everyone fell in love with the Honda 250 ...A big thank you to Alpha and his team!

Starting a beautiful new Honda CRF 250 at the first day and thinking that I will miss the power from my 690 and 790 back home for several days.. Wrong thoughts! These bikes are perfect for this adventure! Going up, going down, going far, going fast, going slow, these bikes are perfect for all purposes and bikers. I was really satisfied with this low weight bike running 10 km among rocks upside a hill. Less is more! This trip is well prepared! There is no road signs and you will be in the middle of nowhere in a moment if you were alone! But these gentle guides don’t need a GPS to find the tracks and they take care of you. They have been here several times before and done a lot of scouting to find the best tracks for you. These guides can also be mechanics and make your dinner of a goat if required. This is not a “single track”. There is alternatives if required due to weather or other circumstances. Independent of your driving skills, this group of guides and landscape have something challenging and exiting to offer you. Several guides and a service-car make it possible to customize this trip to your requirements on a short notice. You will see a bit of the daily life in Tanzania along the roads, in the villages, maybe visit a school, going offroad, crossing rivers, driving in sand. Didn’t miss anything. My best bike experience so far! In addition to great bike-driving: This trip is a great opportunity to see a bit of this beautiful country and friendly people. There is always a smile and someone waving friendly. People seems to be very happy and that is not because of money. Having lunch in a village or among rocks in the mountains, joking with locals on their bikes, seeing bikes transporting everything and meeting Maasai people are great memories. I can really recommend this adventure!

My wife and I spent 5 weeks in Tanzania in August 2018 and it was a last minute decision to go on a motorbike tour as we had a few days available at the end of our trip. So we booked a tour with Karanga Tours for my 55th birthday with both my wife and I to ride on separate bikes. Alpha made a huge effort to accommodate our needs by lowering the bike twice for Steph but as she wasn’t confident, she decided not to ride and instead take the 4 x 4. This was also a last minute decision, but it was no problem for Karanga to organise a 4 x 4 and guide on short notice. As we hadn’t planned on riding motorbikes, I’d brought none of my gear with me and they kitted me up with all the gear that I would use at home in Australia.We left Arusha weaving our way through traffic to fuel up for the first day’s ride. We soon made our way from the bitumen onto undulating dirt tracks. My guide Alphi was very helpful and took me on the best tracks over the Monduli mountains and down into the rift valley. The bikes are old school XR 250’s, easy to ride but required running repairs along the way. This only added to the experience as it gave us some time to stop and chat and take in this part of remote Tanzania. We had time to deviate up mountain trails for views and get close up to wildlife. We caught up with Steph at Lake Natron as she travelled via Manyara National Park. While we both had different journeys, we were given a fantastic exposure to the best of Tanzania. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Karanga Adventure Tours if you want a great motorbike riding experience.

WORLD CLASS ADVENTURE.!!! 6 day tour to Lake Natron and Ngorongoron Crater. Our guides were all mechanics, with great local knowledge and great English.... One was even a Maasai warrior. They brought us to the most amazing places , we saw so many animals... Giraffe, Ostrich, Baboon, Elephant and Lions, Flamingos. Hipppos... Every night we stayed in a new lodge, they were all unique and really comfortable, the food was delicious and the people so friendly. Karanga tours is awesome. We are going back next year. Trip of a life time. Highly recommend it, Great value for everything you get to experience.

Freedom plus! This tour is amazing. If you can ride a bike, it offers like-minded travellers an opportunity to see not only the places that are in the tour brochures, but so much more. Our guide was knowledgeable and always making sure we had everything we needed. Stopping in one of the villages, we really saw what life is like for the locals. Women truly do fetch and carry water on their heads. Kids love seeing you, and greeted us with such enthusiasm. The food! Authentic traditional cuisine. I cant recommend this tour enough.

Very good and experienced local guiding on off-road, path in Tanzania. Total 1650 km. Always helpful and and polite guides. Bikes were great for the purpose. Technically problems were always solved as soon as possible by the mechanics. We experienced the friendly and friendly atposphere of the people, masai-tribe, hadza tribe along the way and wild animals like giraffe, zebra, gazelle, elephant, gnu, etc. My best motorcycle experienced ever. If you like off-road motorcycle, this will be the best trip you can find.Katanga Adventures Tours is highly recommendable.

Wow! This was a trip of a lifetime. Many thanks to Alpha, regardless of organising the trip from Australia he had a taste of what we wished for, there are so many reasons why Tanzania is one of the most special places on earth. The landscapes are beautiful, the people are so welcoming, the food at the Lodges we stayed in Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro were top on the class ones never regretted to choose Karanga Adventure. Our guide was so incredible - so knowledgeable, entertaining, and passionate. They would explain an animal behavior, and boom! We saw exactly what they had talked about moments before.I recommend Alphas choice for the African Safaris and we going to come next year 2020 for exploring further down of Southern Africa Parks.

Great local guiding off the beaten tracks of Tanzania. Bikes were great for the purpose. Light, nimble and powerful enogh for most of the terrain. Some technical problems could maybe have been avoided by preventive maintenance, however technical problems were always solved as soon as possible by qualified mechanics. Hakuna matata ;-) Along the way we experience the friendly and curious atposphere of the people (locals, masai-tribe, hadza tribe) along the way and wild animals like giraffe,zebra,wildebeast, gazelle etc. Truly a great experience

A RIDE TO HEAVEN!!! June 2019 .We are group of off road motorbike enthusiasts with a lot of motocross,enduro and trial rides experience .We have been riding motorbikes across many different countries like Australia,Mexico,Vietnam,Mongolia,Serbia etc .Our goal is to cover in this lifetime as much rides around the globe as possible or to have at least one ride on different continent and squeeze it between our busy lifestyle work and family obligations .This year after meeting Alfa at one of Melbourne motorbike exhibition/show he was working very hard to fulfill our requests even as we preferred specific latest model KTMs 450 he organised them as well in order to meet and satisfied all our demands. So Tanzania was on our list and to be honest we had no high expectations or better say no expectations at all....YES we did it and I can tell wow wow 😮 Tanzania is the best experience we have had from all countries we visited and Alpha and his crew are professional as you can get in this business.They have excellent road knowledge,experienced riders that lead our group true most beautiful part of Tanzania all the way from Mt Kilamanjaro to Zanzibar and along the way they were making sure to accommodate us as much as possibles and answer all or question or demands in no matter what time of the day.So if you are motorbike enthusiasts and you like to see and experience Africa-Tanzania the way ordinary tourists cant even imagine or you want to explore and visit places that you cant find searching google or watch on discovery channels then I can tell you dont waste your life and dont you dare to die before you visit Tanzania .From our personal experience we highly recommend Karanga Adventure Tours as your trip organisers and I am sure they willlook after you and you will enjoy it as well as we did.It will be definitely one your best life experiences EVER!!Enjoy it and have safe ride.

Great to have a tour guide that made sure that our experience was fantastic all the way through. The views were amazing and it gave us an experience we will never forget.Definitely will be recommending this tour to my friends and family.

Beware, not trustworth company. The administrator scammed us and we have to pay a lot more than declared price. He threatening all the time to leave us without bikes and guide if we didnt pay more.

Awesome daytrip motorbike safari!

Attention!We paid a very high deposit for the motorbikes, which caused problems every day.In the end we didnt get a large part of the deposit back, although we even had to have the motorcycles repaired at our own expense in between.The whole communication turned out to be very complicated. Several people were involved and we had to wait several hours until the contact person came.The actual owner never showed up and the location marked on Google is a few kilometers away from the real rental company.All in all, unfortunately, most things dont go as promised.For example, the motorcycles do not have footrests for passengers. The steering was broken. As well as the light.Unfortunately not again !!

NEVER AGAIN!!$ 45 a day for a 1996 Honda 250. The bike had no key, so we had to find a secure parking spot every night. The speedometer didnt work and the engine didnt start, so push it every morning. The boss Alpha acted friendly and nice at the beginning. When they were returned, half of the deposit was withheld for completely flimsy reasons. On the phone he verbally abused me and threatened me. Attention! Dont be fooled by Alpha or Maurin.

Attention rip off!I rented a motorcycle for 10 days. The first one had a broken steering head bearing so I got another one on the third day (I had to pay 50us $ to replace the bikes, although it creates problems from the start and got worse and worse). The second motorcycle had no key and no working speedometer! On the 9th day it stopped working and kept going out. We called and said that we would leave it in Moshi because it no longer drives. In the end we should pay US $ 100 for it.Unfortunately we had burned a hole in a bag that we got from the rental company. In the end, we should pay 70us $ for a bag that costs only 30us $ new.When it came to returning the deposit, alpha (the owner of the company, who actually lives in australia) didnt answer and didnt take any calls. He had everything done through his employee, with whom we couldnt discuss because he had to do what Alpha tells him to do.Alpha also told us that we would get brand new tubes and tires. In the end we had countless flat spots because the hoses had actually been patched several times (see photo).The motorcycles (Honda XR250 from 1996) are in miserable condition and in the end the customer has to pay extra for them!Never again! Beware of Alpha!
