The hotel is really BAD i wouldnt recommend anyone going to this hotel, Rooms are congested. And the hotel is run down...rooms are not clean no towels are provided even after we asked for towels,bathroom fittings are broken and the shower heads dont work and no hot water even though they have a solar water heater, and very lousy staff.even though we booked in advance they gave our rooms to someone else...DO NOT GO TO MERU IN i would suggest go to MC ELLIES

My stay at Meru House Inn was real fantastic and whenever I get opportunity to visit Arusha I will always stay at this comfortable accommodative place with reasonable price. I real appreciate and recommend it for other people to pay a visit and stay at this comfortable place whenever they come to Arusha. I rank it as a very good place. It deserves to be more than a three star hotel.Thanks.

The location is really close to the center. The staff and the meneger is amazing !! Wifi in the room is working good if you are on the right side of the hostel (ask for the good side). On the restaurant the wifi is not working at all. Every thing you need the staff will help you. Hot water. My only advice is to check your sheath some time its not clean, im not sure but i think i recognised bed bugs. But after i replaced the sheath it was ok. I guess its from the wool blanket...

The staff here are very helpful and nice which is why I gave them 3 stars total - the actual hotel is pretty good. I stayed in two different rooms (before and after safari). In the first one the tap didnt work but I know they would have let me change rooms if it were a big problem (it wasnt as they had a tap to wash your feet which I used instead). The second had a massive pipe running through it which is very loud when water runs through (for the time I was in this room it maybe ran about 4 times per day once being at midnight which is quite disturbing, if Im honest so try to make sure you get a room without the pipe in it. There is some noise from other guests but for a one or two night stay, if you have ear plugs it should be okay (I think Arusha as a whole is just quite lively in the evenings) The food was very nice and affordable and they made sure to help me as I was unfortunately sick from safari. Very grateful to the staff here, thank you!

Very loud from the streets and the court of the accomodation. Bathroom stinky and with no curtains, so others can see through the window while taking a shower or even using the toilet. Staff very friendly, room okay for one night.

Cheap, clean and centrally located! Perfect as transit accommodation, but also for longer stays. Wifi is not ideal - it works at times. The food is optimal, but because of the location, so it is easy to go into town and find alternatives

Quiet a nice place for only 10 dollars per person/night. Not the best quality but really cheap and good enough to spend a night. The dinners you can get in the restaurant are amazing, really good food for almost no money!! Breakfast is nothing in comparison to what you get in other places in Tanzania. Bathrooms (we stayed in 2 different rooms) are really in need of renovation. But overall, budget travellers will really enjoy there stay.

A cheap basic place for a couple of nights. Sheets are clean and they have hot running water for most parts of the day. Dont expect housekeeping service during your stay. WiFi is available throughout the hotel but its weak. Be warned of the 5am morning calls from loud traffic honking outside. There is a restaurant that provides toast, eggs, coffee and tea for breakfast and can do a la carte meals from their menu. Staff are approachable and they also allowed us to cook instant noodles for dinner last night. Location is central and walking distance from the Arusha Clock Tower and Central Market.

A bit noisy because it is located on the main street of Arusha (ask for a room in the upper floor) but the rooms are clean, comfortable beds, TV, mosquito net, hot water, wifi, breakfast included and you can have a laundry service for a bit more. Many locals and backpackers stay here.

Nice place with clean and nice rooms with different sizes single bed with different sizes,double beds, and triple beds. Also they have nice restaurant in there and they provide laundry services too.Nice to visit as single,couple,group, and family.

The single rooms have a very small bed and just okay facilities. The double bed rooms are worth the money though. Prices are slightly fair.

Comfortable place to live a life

Location is great, breakfast s a delight. Its always a pleasure coming down from your room. Rooms are clean, small though. Beds are equipped with mosquito nets. Wifi is not good? Why are you even on your phone, go see some animals!Asante asante sana Tanzania!

Overall the place is good but the biggest problem is the noise, traffic. Rooms are dull, shady, old .... but clean, 18usd/night

Budget hostel with a decent bed and very nice breakfast. Check in before dark, surrounding area could be a little scary.

Inexpensive Rooms with Breakfast for 25000 Tzh single, Shower not always hot, bed compftable, Breakfast and Lunch in Restaurant is very good and inexpensive.

Clean, located centrally and really cheap. So it is highly recommended it for travellers who want to spend a couple of nights.
