One of my favorite hotels in Russia with a great spa center and an amazing restaurant, located in the middle of the forest, beautiful for a weekend trip out or as a stop if you’re driving to/from Europe.

IMO its the best place in Smolensk. Place is very calm and relaxing, stuff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and comfy, food makes you feel happy:)

Good summer menu in restaurant

We came specially on a weekday to the aqua zone with a small child, but they didn’t let us in, they said that it’s absolutely impossible with small children. Okay, your rules. But is it possible to specify this somewhere in advance? In other pools you can without problems with children. And on the veranda website there is no information about this, and why should I look for visiting rules? The girl at the reception could not show me the rules, she offered to leave the phone so that I could reset them later👍

Stayed at the hotel Veranda 20. 09.21, excellent hotel, great breakfasts from the Veranda restaurant. Clean, comfortable room. The receptionist is very friendly. I liked the interior, all the ordered dishes were perfectly prepared, its a pity, of course, that day it was impossible to order trout or salmon, but still we were delighted and had a great time. We decided to come with the children to the pool in August, which we did yesterday. Everyone liked the water procedures, but the restaurant somehow disappointed. 2 dishes from the childrens menu were C grade - the soup with meatballs was tasteless and fatty, and in fettuccine with cheese you could at least put a leaf of parsley for decoration, well, the taste was also so-so. The older meals were better, although the salmon steak looked like it had been steamed. The pizza was delicious! We decided to come to the pool again, but we wont go to the restaurant anymore, we are very disappointed ((

A very negative impression was created from arriving at the Veranda restaurant, not the service in particular, although it was not up to the mark, it was not an easy task to bring simple things such as a glass of whiskey 100 ml, I had to wait and remind several times, but everything was pretty good with the service, but as far as the kitchen was concerned, a complete bum happened, when it was not fully loaded, everything was done quite slowly, the beef was not enough in salads with beef, but there was plenty of lettuce and it had a “pleasant” crunch of sand and earth on teeth ordered lamb nka on the bones, well, it’s easier to crack the sole of tarpaulin boots than this lamb, striploin steak, well, nothing good or bad to eat, ate and ate, neither taste nor pleasure, ordered a hookah, made it delicious and everything as requested, light and smoky, but for a long time the coals did not change. To summarize, either the cook was tired or the stars didn’t work out, I hope this institution will work on mistakes, and will not be the next Smolensk institution that is aimed at cutting money, and not quality service, decent service and delicious food.

Breakfast is different from the standard, but everything is delicious and exceptionally freshly prepared. We go there quite often from the moment the hotel opens. We like the location in the pine forest.

Sauna, restaurant. Sauna is good, hammam - not hammam, cold, no steam. Large pool - the water is dirty, some visitors dont shower after the sauna and jump into the pool. Employees are sitting watching a movie, although they could have made a comment. Most likely, sanitary days are not carried out (replacement or purification of water in the pool). Possibly every 2 months. Sauna, showers are clean, good. After a sauna in a restaurant on the air, we ordered tea, waited 40 minutes and even after being reminded of the order, they did not wait for the tea and left. Apparently, the epidemic had a relaxing effect on staff.

We were in a family room with a 3-year-old child, everything was provided for him in the room: a bath stand, a toilet seat, a bathrobe, even childrens dishes !!! We did not visit the spa, but the prices are reasonable.

It wasn’t the first time at your place, but today, 01/19/2020 at 16:00, they waited for their order, Korean, Caesar, Megrelian khachapuri and mushroom soup, to put it mildly, everything was terribly cooked, khachapuri first made the dough raw, the second time on top, cheese which was grated and got a hard crust, the first time Caesar was brought out dry and asked to add the sauce - ok, seasoned with the sauce however it is very salty, the soup is sorry, of course, but my grandmother cooks better, I didn’t understand where we went today, to a highly qualified restaurant or eatery with choir Osh interior and Savdepovsky cuisine, it is not clear. I want to note that one waiter is torn into two rooms, the administrator sits and sees the whole situation around us, but he did not pay any attention to us, spoiled mood and bad evening. We won’t come here until the staff change.

Of course, I was madly “glad” to this fact as it was the purpose of the visit. Then I tried to get out of the room that I did not get out of the first attempt in mind of the wiping lock. When I got out the door just refused to close and started signaling. This was the last straw, I called the administrator and said that I did not want to stay in this hotel. I agreed to make a refund, but instead of a return transaction, I had another purchase transaction and wrote off another 5 thousand ... It became a cherry on the cake of this institution. Now more about the number. A horrible view of the fence from the balcony, the cheapest furniture and appliances, the kitchen is the cheapest (by the way, why is the kitchen in a room for 5,300 rubles? People who stay in such rooms usually cook by themselves ???) The kitchen spoils the whole impression though spoil in our the case was nothing. The only thing that is probably not bad in this hotel is cleanliness. But for the money there should be much more decent service and better repair. In general, if you just need a place where you can bury your nose in a pillow, perhaps a veranda is your option. Although the prefix spa hotel or wellness I would have removed in this case. This is an ordinary mediocre hotel.

Breakfasts offer a choice from the menu, from almost two full dishes. At the reception are very responsive girls, special thanks to Ksenia and Anastasia. The hotel is located in a pine forest, if you have time for walks, you can walk through the woods or along the road to the lake. We traveled to the city by car or taxi, I don’t know if public transport goes there, it takes 7-10 minutes to the city center.

You come in - by touch))) In the womens locker room, ventilation does not work. Ladies use a hair dryer, and without ventilation it is very hot. I heard people complaining about broken equipment in the gym. My program was well worth the money.But I wouldnt go to the club on a regular basis. The restaurant is not bad, cozy veranda, but also the corresponding price tag.

I was several years ago when the Veranda opened, and with a recent visit I was convinced that not only everything is at a high level, but even improved, in particular the restaurant. Everything is in perfect condition, clean, well-groomed, well-mannered staff, as if not Smolensk, but at least Jurmala.

Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. The kitchen is excellent! The staff .... as needed. And the hotel rooms and spa treatments and the pool are beyond praise!
