Such a beautiful place with stunning artwork. It took me about 45 minutes just to skim through most of the art but I loved every bit of it. Inside, it spirals up each level and offers thousands of pieces of beautiful African artwork. The building is also lovely and there are a couple of nice coffee shops in there!
An absolutely massive art gallery. We spent about 3 hours just looking at sculptures and paintings. Its definitely a feast for your eyes. Its apparently the biggest African art gallery on the African continent. There are also a lot of shops to buy souvenirs. I would consider this a must visit if you appreciate art.
One of the Biggest Cultural Centers in Tanzania within Arusha City Majengo nearer One of the biggest mall in Arusha...it has got all attractive art and crafts design all over the countryIt has got huge compound and good scenery very greenish. Come and see your self.
Arusha cultural heritage centre is a piece of art. The centre is amazingly beautiful. The architectural design is breathtaking. There is so much to see at the centre. Theyve got different pieces of art from across the continent. The different pieces of art are uniformly spaced and spaced out. Entry to the cultural heritage centre is absolutely free. The expansive centre has smooth jazz music that plays while one is viewing the arts. There is no guide inside to help with helping visitors inside the centre. The arts can be bought at a fee. Most of them are so expensive. There is also a restaurant that serves some mouthwatering cuisine. #letsguide
Great place to buy some art and souvenirs. The building is shaped as a shield and sword in its design to symbolise the heritage of the Masai people. Most of the art is individually made from one single ebony wood tree which adds to the immense detail and effort they consist of.There are some statues outside the building allowing photos to be taken. You may also enjoy a refreshing beverage at the cafe. Ask for a mango and banana shake, it was amazing!
Its a very interesting center that brings out the various African cultures through artistry and promotes preservation of cultures and beliefs. The center is informative
Im not sure 😂 if the place site tagged is right or nah but its nearby pepsi factory depot in Arusha right corner after The Village Supermarket next to Meru petrol station theres carwash inside its where i took away this stuff actually they serve best breakfast in town and i used to cycling almost 4km from ngurelo just to get the sugar up normal
Beautiful building filled with pieces of art and sculpture from local artists. Visiting this center was a highlight of my trip to Arusha. Visiting the Tanzanite gallery was also really special.
Nice architecture and a great collection of African Art ( not only Tanzanian). Just be aware its not a museum. Many of the pieces are also for sale. There is a lot of information about history and the different artists. Definitely worth the time to visit. Approved by @tamocross. Follow me on Instagram for more pictures! 😉
Many beautiful paintings and sculptures, though only the lowest level of the building has historic pieces.
Beautiful place, its quite massive. Very expensive, we didnt buy anything but if you have money, I will recommend
As its name state.. I guess it one of the only place has lots of Tanzania cultures stuffs as well as one of the best tourist attractions to visit either your first date in Tanzania before safari or after Safari.. there Tanzanite are well sorted ...
A place to shop affordable and resonably priced souvenirs (*fixed price*). It has shopping area, dining area, and a separate art exhibition center, which houses lots of local paintings, arts, sculptures and others. Nice place to visit. This place has lots of souvenir selection and the price is reasonable, way cheaper than the huge tourist souvenir shop (1-2 hours) before reaching Arusha coming back from Crater.
Good prices comparing with many stores!! Products for all prices and quality from best to basic stuff! Very nice staff!! They charge 5% when you choose payment through credit card!
This is a not to be missed place, just wandering in to the entrance is something else. So much to see you need almost a whole day. The art gallery is great very well laid out up a wide spiral slope with large galleries at the side. There is more art out side with large wooden sculptures. The building is built to represent a drum, a spear and a shield.
A lot of interesting art from all over Africa. Beautiful pieces to buy, but prices are accordingly so
The best experience, with alot of arts like paintings startues ans may more. Visit thete you wont be disapointed.
You love Precious things? Africans tribes Histories and myths cultural and hand made crafts souvenirs? If you dont visit Cultural Heritage you havent come to Arusha!!
Amazing place 🥰🥰 including art activities
Give yourself time to check the gallery. Its design mimics a mini version of the Gugeheim Miseum in NY. It has extensive art collections made by local artists
Free entry, plenty of beautiful art !I definitely recommend it !
Its awesome seeing creative minds in Tanzania. Best art gallery in Tanzania.
For any art lover...this is a mini art heaven..from the moment you walk in through the gates..to the time you get into the art gallery ...around 4 floors of beautiful work of art from all corners of Africa..carvings..beadwork to paintings.. Absolutely beautiful. PS photography inside the galleries prohibited.. :(
The building is absolutely stunning outside and inside. So much character and versatility when you walk in. Everytime I come inside, it’s always an experience. I could go to cultural every single day, and still find something new to find. Great place! Highly recommend!
This place is UNDERRATED for real. You can literally spend hours there. No admission fee and there are literally thousands of art pieces. They have everything from artifacts to paintings. Also, theres a restaurant that serves a deeeelicious chicken pizza. Definitely worth a visit to this art gallery if youre in the area. You wont be disappointed!!
Its amazing place, made me realise how rich the African culture is, it has collective artifacts, history and art from different African countries. I need to revisit, didnt have enough time to shop, they close early.

Best Art African gallery very nice stuff.
Top place to get virtually anything from antiques to ornaments, mostly made locally with African craft/theme and resources.
An enormous and beautiful art craft shop.
If you enjoy viewing art pieces or would like to purchase artwork, this is definitely worth checking out. Large selection of art pieces from paintings to carvings, housing some renowned artists. Next door is also one of the largest collection of tanzanite pieces for those preferring jewellery souvenirs.
Beautiful place enriched with African cultural diversity
Good place with a gallery ✨
Best African Art Galleria in Tanzania 🇹🇿
Amazing place for cool shopping. Lots of unique stuff and really cool architecture. The place is decorated with animals made from metal. Outside there are different decorated huts with different themes each one describing what they are selling within. There is also an outdoor restaurant which you arrive at by crossing a little man made pond. Overall its a unique place with lots of cool goods but very expensive.
Its quite amazing heritage. I loved it so much. Its cool with millions of arts
An Outstanding place with a lot of stuff to xperience inside the cultural heritage you you can enjoy and experience a lot of things and its wonders.
Majengo Cultural Heritage Center it is A fantastic Place to Go!
A really beautiful gallery, incredibly well designed, and a feast for the eyes. There is some really innovative and entrancing artwork there, would really encourage a visit. There is almost as much old artwork as new artwork, which is really good to see. The shops are also a delight to go through. Would 10/10 recommend.
