Greenish environment and well planned, being centre of excellence for capacity building in the management and development of forest and the environment is the vision and to provide adequate knowledge, skills and attitudinal change to clients for sustainable development and management of forest resources and the environment is their mission. The institution is away from Arusha-Namanga Road (ngaramtony)about 3km. I have discovered that the environment is conducive for learning as well as living. Some of the students stays in-compus and other outside because there is also private houses and hostels for renting. They provide Technical Training in forest and Allied studies, Consultancy in forest and Allied sectors and Applied research in forest and Allied sciences as well as tree seeding. Also there are shops, bar and restaurant in-campus as well as around the campus. In terms of transport there are motorbike (bodaboda) as well as public transport.It is among the best place to visit.
