Absolutely amazing!!This was the most incredible experience of our life. The owner of the company is nice and helpful. She does everything she can to make the safari completely to your liking! Everything was incredibly well organized and especially our guide made this safari unforgettable. He knows everything about the animals and their behaviour, the nature, the different tribes and the country. Moreover, he always chose his own route in the National park and did not chase other safari cars. Because of this we have seen many special things!We definitely recommend Adventure kaskazini as your safari experts in Africa !

It was the best choice we’ve ever had. At the beginning, before we contract the safari, Steys was very flexible and arranged us a very suitable tour. She gave us recommendations and after the safari I can say that she was right in every piece of advice she gave us. During the safari, our guide was the best one, Laurance was a great professional, he really knows about the wild animals and could see more animals that we had ever imagined. Additionally, he made the safari very enjoyable, having conversations and funny moments with all of us. And the food was incredible, Rodger cooked us such a nice dishes…in the middle of nowhere we were the ones who ate better, for sure! We would contract Adventure Kaskazini again if we did another safari in Tanzania.

Wow, what an amazing trip with Adventure kaskazini The trip exceeded my expectations on many levels. Our guide was very friendly and welcoming and was very knowledgeable. We got taken on beautiful sunrise game drives. I never imagined I would see so much wildlife up close, including over 40 lions. One of my favorite parts was the unexpected picnic lunch by the hippos. The camps were basic though beautiful locations and the tents and bedding was clean. The lodge we stayed in was also very pleasant and clean. I travelled with my brother only but it was not a worry and I would highly recommend Adventure kaskazini. I took a 2+ week trip in Tanzania with Moody as our guide in July 2019, and it was one of the best experiences Ive ever had. Moody is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, as well as very professional in his job. He is incredible in spotting animals -- we got to see more animals than I ever imagined on this trip. In addition, he is very knowledgeable about the various animals. His driving is very safe. He is so very friendly and willing to help with whatever your needs are. He even taught us some words in Swahili as we were driving to the parks. My highest recommendations go to Adventure Kaskazini!

We travelled to Tanzania for two weeks and rented a 4x4 Toyota Land cruiser with roof top tent for the whole duration of our stay. After some research we decided to go with Adventure kaskazini and I’m really glad we did. They picked us up from the airport and took us there after we finished our road trip. They really took time to go with us through all details, give us information on all features of the car and what to do in case of e.g. a flat tire etc. They went with us through the contract and all we needed to know about the insurance, giving us also a lot of helpful tips about driving around in the park especially in Serengeti which the road is very bumping and roughly . We really appreciate that they were available to answer all our questions during our vacation. The car itself was in great shape and equipped with everything we needed for camping, including a fridge, chairs and table, dishes etc, air conditioning and a min roof to have a great view although we have Roof Top tent with us..Thanks Steys and the whole team of Kaskazini.

Once in a life Time SafariWe had the best experience possible for our 8 day safari with Adventure kaskaziniFrom the beginning, Steys the owner was very responsive over whatsapp, giving us many options to choose from and answering all questions quickly. Obviously with Covid it is difficult to commit to a big trip like this and Steys totally understood, offering free cancellation should it be needed.The trip itself was phenomenal. Our guide Laurance was an absolute dream. his passion for the wildlife and knowledge of all the parks we visited was unbelievable. Thanks to him we completed the big 5 and saw no less than 4 leopards, one from about 3 metres away - truly magical stuff! Weve had a great time safarying (self driving) for almost 2 weeks most parks of the area. The 4x4 was very well equipped with everything needed. The tent was either new or very recent. Its easy to build and fold on a daily basis (takes ~ 10min after some practice). We didnt have any serious tech issue with the car. Steys and the team prepared us an itinerary of recommended places we shall visit for the time we had.Self driving in Tanzania was easy, for experienced drivers at least, and the police (unlike in Zanzibar) has always been particularly friendly and uncorrupt in/around Arusha area. The actual challenge when self-driving is rather when safarying, that is, spotting cats and other rare animals. Without experience its quite tough and harder when one cant understand swahili at the radio. But there are workarounds: communicating with other drivers through the window, making friends with guides and hiring (usually for a small fee) either some rangers/locals one meets in camp/etc. We did all those depending on the situation and could spot in retrospective roughly as many cats, than other cars with guides.They brought to us the car at Arusha Airport and we gave it back at the same place.

The driver guide came to pick us up on time, we ate like kings throughout the 5 days with copious and elaborate meals cooked on the spot and last but not least, we had a wonderful experience thanks to the guide who knew how to answer all our questions (Laurence knows if we had any!) and adapt to our desires in a good mood and laughter.In short, punctuality, excellent food and a qualified and funny French-speaking guide!

What an amazing safari guide, driver and super nice guy. Mood created such a wonderful experience for us. He has super eagle eyes noticing lions in tall grass, basking monitor lizards in the midst of rocks, camouflaged leopards up high in trees. We would never have noticed these if stationery let alone whilst driving!Ive attached a few photos/videos to give an idea to the scenes that Mood enabled for us. It was truly exhilarating to be surrounded by elephants, zebras and giraffes or tracking lions or a rhino. Mood spent years training as a licensed guide and is incredibly knowledgeable on safari. Its very easy to be impressed with just the animals but Mood will also point out the huge variety of birds and beautiful trees. There are a lot more than just baobabs!Mood is genuine, placid and kind-natured. We spent 6 days with him, but you could happily spend 6 months with no issues or irritation. We found his driving and tours absolutely safe. He is a complete pleasure to be around and I totally recommend him. We cant wait to go back!

After my Husband and I decided to go to safari, I contacted Adventure kaskazini and their owner Stey’s was very quick to respond. After a quick chat with her I realised that there is no need to search another agency and Adventure kaskazini should be a perfect choice for us. And it was perfect indeed! We had a 4-day budget safari (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) and expected to spend 1 night in the lodge and 2 in the tents, but due to massive rains in the Serengeti area Stey’s advised to have another night in the lodge for a really small fee, so in the end we had only one night in the tent. Despite the name “budget”, organisation was perfect, our chief Rodger definitely has a passion and our meals were absolutely gorgeous - no repeated meals, fresh baked bread, desserts - all very tasty. Also, our driver/guide James was always in a good mood, told us lots of interesting things about animals and local culture and traditions and did his best to spot as many animals as possible. Except for leopards (but sometimes it’s all about luck on safari), we saw every possible animal - cheetah, rhinos at a close range (very rare!), lions and their war with hyenas, and of course elephants, giraffes and many many more!I highly recommend Adventure kaskazini car rental and Safaris - be sure you will have a great unforgettable experience with their team.

I cannot recommend Adventure kaskazini enough! If you are in need of a vehicle while in Arusha Tanzania then you absolutely should go with Adventure Kaskazini! This family run business makes you feel welcome and in good hands from the moment they pick up the phone or welcome you into the office. The booking process was so easy and efficient. They were on hand 24 hours a day if we needed assistance for any reason. We rented a 4x4 Land cruiser with roof top tent and it came fully equipped with all the camping equipment you could possibly need, including sleeping bags and pillows. Everything was amazing. Since the begining our trip was excellent. Super organization- route, views, advanture, camps, food. Our guide James knows a lot about nature, is very practiced and experienced man, who patiently explained us everything what we needed and wanted to know. Especially friendly to our son answered him the many many questions which our son had. He looked for very consistently animals to show us, so we had lucky to see big five and many, many more. We saw two rhinos crossing the road close to us, few meters.Our cook Rodger made the extra tasty food, he could enchant dinner as the best restaurant during camp and Safari, having all products in small mobile box !Steys from Adventure Kaskazini has amazing and professional team. GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH ADVENTURE KASKAZINI.We just returned from a wonderful (= full of wonders!) trip through 4 beautiful Tanzanian National Parks using the Adventure kaskazini Car Rental & Safaris company, based on excellent reviews and good interactions with the owner ,We originally planned to rent and drive a 4WD car ourselves but after thinking about it, made what we now know was the right decision to also hire a driver/guide.Moods, our driver, added a lot to the success of our trip. Not only was he friendly, pleasant to be around, knowledgeable, and able to locate many, many interesting animals, birds and places, but he also allowed us to focus on nature rather than on driving the often difficult, poorly marked roads.We saw a wide range of remarkable creatures, and were frequently alone with a quiet herd of elephants, a pride of lions lounging right next to our car, braying zebras streaming by and noisy aerobatic formations of huge flocks of storks. With Mood’s hard work we were even able to see a rhinoceros, at last, on our last day in Ngorongoro NP.We arranged our itinerary and reserved the lodges ourselves, with helpful advice from Fatma, and could not be more satisfied with the support and level of attention by the Adventure kaskazini team. We had complete freedom to plan the Safari we have always wanted, did not have to deal with staying in a cramped car with strangers, and are already considering returning and will definitely book with them again. It was our first safari and decided to go on a self drive roadtrip accross the northern park: Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Natron.Moody’s Landcruiser is in perfect shape, and ready for difficult driving situation. And if you have any problem on your journey, Moody give you really fast assistance ! You can go anywhere without trouble, but make sure to be ready for the african roads before going on a self drive !The camping gear was great, and sleeping on the roof of the car was really cool.Moody was super helpful along our trip and gave us amazing information on how to find the animals in the parks, where to stay, arranged permits for us, etc even though we didn’t took him with us as a guide. My family of 6  used Adventure Kaskazini during our vacation in January 2021 amid the corona virus pandemic. We spent over a week in Tanzania, beginning our journey in Arusha spending time at Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National park. Whilst visiting those wildlife havens we got to view the magnificent big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo) as well as the incredible wildebeest migration along the way on this mesmerising/one of a kind voyage. We also had the pleasure of meeting the local Masaai people and learn about  their culture and daily way of life. We concluded our memorable journey by visiting the different locations where the stunning Mount Kilimanjaro can be viewed.Tanzania is a special country with stunning natural beauty and a diverse range of wildlife.The Ngorongoro crater is a breathtaking backdrop and the highlight of our trip. The 300km wide crater contains its own Ecosystem.  It is Natures Zoo, a sanctuary for the wildlife within and a vocation for any wildlife lover.Adventure Kaskazini were always efficient, punctual and due to their assistance our trip went smoothly.They went out of their way to fulfill our requests and made every effort to make our journey a comfortable one.Our driver Benson, is a skilled navigator and shared great enthusiasm for Adventure. He was relentless in guiding us to locate the best viewing spots.Benson is well read and very knowledgeable on a variety of topics. He offers delightful insights on the animals and environment, from fine details to scientific explanatiosn and most enjoyably many of his unique personal experiences. If youre a bird lover he is an encyclopedia of information on every specie on view.he offers superb companionship as he always uplifts your spirits during long drives. He is fluent in multiple languages. He showed our family exceptional hospitality and courtersy/ great deal of respect and kindness - leaving us with many memorable encounters.When faced with an obstacle he remains calm, confident in his abilities, whether it is bad muddy roads in which the vehicle may get stuck.. or a frustrating afternoon where the animals in search evade us he shows formidable patience and determination.Without Benson we wouldve had a significantly less fulfilling experience and certainly would have gotten lost on multiple occasions. He knows the endless planes of the Serengeti as well as you do your local neighbourhood.On our final day we had not yet received our Covid test results and had to fly home. Benson spent over 8 hours at the hospital in Arusha waiting patiently and selflessly to make sure that we received the result in order for us to catch the flight home while we were at the airport.He is truly an exceptional guide and a superb human being. Curating a splendid Safari experience for us.

We had a very good introduction to the car in every detail by Moody and an uncomplicated procedure of picking up and dropping off. They transferred us from the airport and back without any problems. The car itself was reliable and new. Although the rooftent and camping equipment seemed a little aged but they still did their job.Sleeping bags, mattress and pillows were also included. We made 6,701km in Tanzania ( Serengeti,tarangire, Ngorongoro, Manyara, Serous, Tisha and Katavi national Park without flat tires or any other problems. :)

Responsiveness, the trip details, payment methods as well as my comfort level were important prior to committing.Our guide did not disappoint. He was waiting for us at the starting point (kibo palace hotel).The land cruiser was clean smart enough for our safari. Mohammed knowledge of the roads, the parks, and the wildlife, their habitat and their patterns was quickly evident. His manner assured us that we going to have an amazing and safe adventure. Regardless of being residents still it was amazing being in the Tanzania wilderness with Adventure kaskazini.At the end of each day, we were welcomed at extraordinary lodging with exquisite meals. The lodge in other parks was comfortably rustic with waterbucks grazing in the vicinity. Brilliant trip with Moody...We had a trip in northern Tanzania with Moody as our driver in October 2018. It was by far one of our best trips ever with Moody being the most wonderful attentive knowledgeable warm person ensuring we had the best experiences. We arrived in Arusha and discussed our trip ideas and together worked out our itinerary.. then set off for 3.5 weeks together. His English is excellent.In the background a lot was organised as we went along to ensure all parks and gate paperwork was in hand as well as advice on money required for each park. We took the car for self-driving at Arusha for 2 days (1 day Manyara lake, next day Ngorongoro and in the evening we dropped off the car at Moshi).Manager Mood was nice, helpful and punctual. He arrived on time, explained everything about the car.The car was 2002 Land Cruiser, it was in good condition, nothing failed during the trip.The most important and pleasant experience was that in a difficult situation, the manager had reacted as quickly as possible. We were stuck at the Ngorongoro Crater, there were no cars around for help. We called the manager via Whats up, sent our GPS coordinates, and within 15-20 minutes the manager contacted the Ngorongoro administration and arranged a tractor for us. The tractor arrived quickly, within 30 minutes.Also, because of this incident, we arrived at the drop-off point much later than planned, and, again, the manager had to wait for us, but there were neither additional fees nor penalties :))).Wed definitely recommend the company to anyone interested in self-driving safari in Tanzania.

If renting out a 4x4 with a tent on the top, look no further. Adventure kaskazini is very professional company, have good quality cars and equipment, employ proper staff who all know what they are doing. We rented one for 15 days, had a couple minor issues but they sorted it out very quckly. Extremely happy with their service. Highly recommended.

Authenic Expirience with ADVENTURE KASLAZINI: MusaWe had a great guide: Musa, fluently speaks German, super nice, very educated and excellently trained as a guide (2 or 3 years tourism school). Knows every animal and every shrub and can tell a lot of interesting things about the country and its people, without having a chat. Drive pleasantly carefully and find every animal. We booked the ADVENTURE KASKAZINI with a car through a german tour operator. (Tarangire, Lake Manjara, Ngorogoro), we would book directly at ADVENTURE KASKAZINI today. The car was in very good condition, everything was very professional. All formalities were organized in advance. Better than ADVENTURE KASKAZINI you can not organize a safari and the guide was the icing on the cake - thanks for the experience.

We spent 2 weeks with Adventure Kaskazini on the Northern Circuit with a driver and are still totally thrilled and very happy to have booked with this company. The price-performance ratio is sensational and compared to other providers you get many little things free of charge at Steys (managing director). Steys makes every effort to meet all of its customers very personal wishes and needs. She makes an incredible amount of work and is very patient and answers all questions immediately (sometimes in 15 minutes - even on the weekend or in the evening) in great detail. Ich bin mit meiner Frau nach Tansania gereist, um uns paar Nationalparks anzuschauen. Wir wollten bei Adventure Kaskazini ein Auto mieten. Stey`s, die Frau des Besitzers, hat uns günstig ein Wagen ohne Kilometerbegrenzung angeboten und Fahrer kostenlos dazu. Als Sie von uns erfahren hat, dass wir auch an Campingplätzen übernachten wollen, hat uns empfohlen, auch einen Koch mitzunehmen. Fahrer und Koch haben sich als einzige Möglichkeit erwiesen, um eine Safari zu genießen und auch möglich viel Tiere zu sehen. Nationalparks sind riesig groß und alleine ohne Ortskenntnisse kann man stundenlang fahren und nichts sehen. Manche Straßen sind unpassierbar und wenn jemand eine Panne hat, kann sehr problematisch sein, wenn du nicht einmal aussteigen kannst, weil rundherum hohes Grass ist und nicht sehen kannst, ob 10 Meter von dir entfernt ein hungriger Löwe in Grass liegt.Um Tiere zu sehen, muss man zw. 6 und 7 Uhr wegfahren. Unser Koch hat um 4 Uhr begonnen, für uns Frühstück und Mittagessen zu kochen. Wir sind um 6 Uhr aufgestanden, haben schnell was gegessen, unser Mittagessen mitgenommen und weggefahren. Als wir um 18 Uhr zurück waren, hat auf uns Abendessen gewartet. (Suppe, Hauptspeise, Nachspeise, frisches Gepäck). Um ein Abend Essen zu Kochen und alles zu abwaschen, war ca. 5 Stunden notwendig. Nationalparks in Tansania sind sehr teuer. Eintritt 50-70$, Auto 10$, Übernachtung am Camping inkl. Camping 30$, Übernachtung Logge 60$+Logge 200-400$.Wir haben pro Tag 172 $ (2x50+2x30+20+2$ für Fahrer und Koch) gezahlt. In eine Logge kostet mindestens 250$ mehr. Alle Autos, die dort unterwegs sind, sind alt. Toyota produziert diese Wagen seit 8 Jahre nicht mehr und die Nachfolge Modelle sind klein und für Safari sehr ungemütlich. Als wir am 31.12.2022 zwischen Tarangire und Serengeti National Park unterwegs waren, ist unsere Wagen gegen 14 Uhr eingegangen. Nach eine Stunde ist ein Automechaniker vorbeigekommen und hat Motorschaden festgestellt. In Tansania sind Nationalparks gebühren in Voraus zu bezahlen, unter genaue Eingabe von Einfahrtszeiten. Für 01.01. haben wir für Ngorongoro Krater bezahlt. (ca. 500$) Ich habe schnell gerechnet: Sylwester 16 Uhr, Sonnenuntergang in zwei Stunden, bis nach Aruscha ca. 2 Autostunden und die Einfahrt in den Nationalpark ist nur vor dem Sonnenuntergang möglich. Wir brauchen neue Übernachtungsmöglichkeit und das Geld für Ngorongoro Krater ist weg. Alle Autos, die mit Touristen unterwegs waren, sind bei uns stehen geblieben. Unsere Fahrer hat alle gekannt. Ein Bekannte des Fahrer hat uns 10 km bis zu Tankstelle geschleppt, gegen 20 Uhr sind 3 Leute von Aruscha mit einem größeren Ersatzwagen gekommen. Der Firmenbesitzer, der früher auch ein Fahrer war, hat bei der Nationalparkverwaltung angerufen, wir sind in der Nacht reingefahren und unseren Campingplatz um 22 Uhr erreicht. Bei uns wäre das alles nicht möglich gewesen und sicher nicht zu Sylwester. Die Firma betreiben Einheimische von Aruscha ohne Makler und Reisebüros, deswegen sind die Preise günstiger als bei der Konkurrenz und das Geld bleibt im Land. Wir haben uns für individuelle Reise entschieden, in Vergleich zu Reisebüros haben wir alle Nächte in Nationalparks verbracht und ca. 1500€ weniger bezahlt. Haben wir mehr gesehen, als wir uns erhofft haben. Einzige, was ich habe, wollte, aber nicht gehabt habe, war ein Gephardt am Autodach. Man kann nicht alles haben.Ich kann nur Adventure Kaskazini herzlich empfehlen und hoffe, dass ich noch mit Kindern diese Reise wiederholen kann.Marek und Katarzyna
