Chicken is served hot and fresh. There was a large variety of fresh salads to accompany the BBQ that we could serve ourselves. We tried the lamb kebab and would definitely order again. You can choose from regular or garlic naan. The best part was the yogurt to cool off the spicy salads. Khan himself was good to tell what is available. Tonight it was the best BBQ we had.

Delicious juicy meat, specially lamb kebab. You can take salads as much as you want. Side dishes also very good. Really good price, we paid around 15€ for two including drinks and it was a lot of food. The best part is owner and his family, they are just lovely!

Excellent barbeque food. I suggest trying the mixed grille which comes with plenty of grilled chicken and lamb along with either chips or naan with an open salad bar. Everything was grilled to perfection and I liked everything in the salad bar from the mild to the very spicy. Also a good selection of cold beverages. Ill be returning and I highly recommend!

Delicious barbecue. We got the sample platter and liked everything. My favorite was the chicken but we also liked the mishikaka and lamb. The naan was just okay. The girl serving us drinks was good (and adorable). The owner was very helpful and friendly. The surroundings are humble but the food is great and very reasonably priced.

Went there two times. Better than the mix menu is the chicken and salad with great prices and amazing flavour!!! The staff is amazing, and very competent. They even called a tuk tuk driver to take us to our hostel, Stanley was incredible, hegave us his number and took us at 6 a.m. to the bus station!

This place is a car garage by day, and a BBQ grill stop at night. Unfortunately at night the streets of Arusha arent well lit so get a cab if youre more than a 2min walk away. We got a mixed grill for 2 and cokes, for 35000 shillings, well worth it!

Each meal set us back around Tsh 10000 each which is fair cosidering the succulent tasty chicken and an overwhelming all you can eat salad varieties ranging fron Indian, Arabic/Swahili and African cuisines. We had our dinner here for all the nights we spent in Arusha. The place has a simple setting but worth it and I would recommend anyone passing through or living in Arusha to give it a try.

Went here twice while passing through Arusha before and after our safari. Khan is extremely friendly and the food is delicious. Make sure to go for their sharing platter which will leave your bellies full and satisfied.

We got the sampler deal, which was 16000 Tsh per person which turned out to be a pretty decent deal. We got more food than we could easily eat.They have a buffet style salad bar which features a variety of middle eastern dishes and sauces in a variety of spice levels.We received a variety of meats that included some sausages, some mutton and some chicken. Of this mix the chicken was best, followed by the sausage (a little dry, but good flavor) and the mutton (good flavor but fairly tough). In general the meats in Tanzania are overcooked, but if you see the meat hanging unrefrigerated in open air at the various butchers shops youll understand why. They have had a number of anthrax outbreaks in recent years tied to tainted beef.We also received french fries and a special dessert.They had cold Pepsi products, but I dont think they had any alcohol. This was in the middle of a shopping district and seemed generally safe. The owner was kind enough to ask if we needed a taxi back since it had gotten dark while we ate.

A very popular place open only in the evening. It serves only meat dishes, essentially grilled chicken and shish kebab, with an assortment of side dishes (naan, fries and salad). Prices are decent, though youll never see a written bill (not a menu, for that matter).The overall experience is nonetheless overwhelming.

Khans is the place to eat dinner if you are in Arusha! Take a taxi from your hotel, because the traffic is crazy! Mr. Khan will call you a taxi after dinner. Very nice man.

Came here for dinner on one of our nights in Arusha. Dont let the simple setting fool you, the food was super tasty and Mr Khan and his staff very friendly. We shared the tasting platter with all different meats, salads and sauces as well as dessert. Reasonable prices and they box anything you cant eat up for takeaway. Definitely recommended!

Visited 2 times. kebab marinated in spices was incredible. Oriental cuisine was sorely lacking in Africa. buns, too, at the height. so that you do not order, you can type lettuce, pickled tomatoes, spicy carrots, chili peppers, cabbage. suddenly returned the same day to visit the chicken. the meat was insane. Most recommended

Khan is very welcoming and friendly and the tasting menu for 2 was great. You get overwhelmed w the amount of food and everything was very tasty. I would have loved fresh veggies since they have such wide selection of salads, but anyway it was really nice.

THE best tandoori chicken I’ve ever had. He offers a mixed platter for 18k per person. It’s an offer you can’t refuse. The meat is soo tender. And Khan is the heart of this place. Very attentive and always aware of the situation. He also organized a taxi to our hotel for a good price. You can really see that this place is his passion.

Went here with my husband for our first outing in Arusha and this place did not disappoint. The hospitality of this place and the food is too incredible. My sister and her family have been coming to Khan’s bbq for many years. Tonight I had the pleasure of not only having their delicious chicken but also meeting the owner. Very kind people. Delicious food.

The owner is really friendly, approachable and talkative. I seen tour guides getting commissioned for bringing tourists here. Non the less the food quality was below average. The fries had some weird smell and the chicken was slightly raw. Theres many other places in Arusha namely: bombay spice, Saheels bbq, hot plate and taj were some of the few i had really amazing food at.

While the price might seem a bit high in Tanzanian terms, i found the food to be amazing. You get a good portion and the quality was outstanding. Normally as a tourist I would try different places, but this place was one of those that you just have to go back to a second night.

Enjoyed a barbecue here with friends in the evening. Great chicken, lamb and freshly made bread. It can get smoky so make sure you wear clothes that can handle that. The prices are fair and the servings are generous.

Khan is famous among locals for its salads! The meat is also good. It is really worth to stop for dinner there. Moreover Mr Khan is super nice and really tried to help to find the dalla dalla to hour hotel. A really nice experience, we cant recommend more!

I got the vegetarian option which was filling and delicious. Some of the best naan, a salad buffet (the lentils were the great!) and a heap of yummy fries. Plus the street market atmosphere was fun and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

Amazing find in Arusha! Great food, good people, cleanliness was above expectations (based on Arusha standards), HOT water provided for washing hands. Portions were really good. A platter for a hungry person or a sharing couple would cost $10.

Great place for a quick bite on the streetside, you can sit and eat here until very late. Most of the food is prepared some hours before and may taste a bit plain even after warming them.

This is a really nice place to go for night time barbecue chicken. They serve a food menu that is tied around their legendary barbecue chicken. i would definitely recommend this place for a local night time bite, but dont go too late past 10 because they will be closed.

Stopped over at Khan’s at midnight on our drive from Nai to Dar. Their food is amazing mashaallah. Thoroughly enjoyed their sekela. Moist, succulent and spiced to perfection. Keep it up

I really enjoyed this place. The staff is fun and friendly and it has really nice food. The barbeque delicious and you can choose between different kinds of meat. The side dish is different salads and beans which you can take as much as you want off. Its served with naan bread. Its a street food restaurant but with very good quality. 10000 for chicken barbeque with naan, side dish and a water.

When I first came, I gave this place an excellent review. Because it deserved one. They have excellent flavour with absolutely delicious BBQ chicken, super friendly staff (I spilled my juice, they replaced it), fun experience with the salad bar and BBQ combo.The problem is the next day we left on safari and my two brothers and I were violently ill. Not worth spending 8$ on a meal if it blows 300$ worth of safari. A local friend of mine who ate with us was ok though. Eat at your own risk!

Been coming here for years. Great BBQ chicken, chips, naan bread and loadsa condiments. All for $5-10 (depending on how much chicken you can eat). What’s not to love.

Authentic and delicious streetfood. Despite alot of mzungus! You sit outside and everything is fresh from the grill. Chicken, beef and mutton is available together with a great Indian salad buffet and freshly baked naan bread. Not too expensive either, two large meals and a soda costed 28 000 TSH.

Awesomely spiced salad and sides, lots of extras like naan bread and zanzibari pizza, and of course the meat itself: i had beef, lamb and chicken, all juicy, aromatic and with a nice grilled taste!

TOURIST TRAP ALERT. As someone who eats this type of food regularly, it’s not good. Based on the number of mzukus (Swahili for white tourists), the hype clearly comes from it being the only place in Arusha where tourists feel safe and cultured to their Instagram followers thanks to Mr Khan’s welcoming/warm personality.However, I learned this was just an act.A really welcoming person doesn’t charge tourists a very inflated price (charging San Francisco prices) and then further rip them off with a really bad exchange rate. He said 35000 TSH which should come to about $16 USD, but he said it was $24 when I asked if he took USD.

Nadeem Khan was a very nice man with some great food! He helped us choose what to eat and explained everything to us. The food and experience was awesome.

Its a great place to get the grilled chicken u need, plus they dry their chips meaning less oil which is turn is less calories.

Unique location - auto parts shop by day, barbeque by night - welcoming with great food. Highlights for me were the Zanzibar pizza and the beef.
